Urban Love:
Overall a good read!!
The title might suggest its a typical love story of two people falling in love in this modern (urban) world... But its actually a story of different emotions which revolve around three pretty girls 😀
Major Emotions here being Friendship and Love Ofcourse.
Its a story of 3 girls, their struggles with emotions of respect, dignity, vulnerability, family values with an emphasis on the urge to accept that Love is a strong feeling worth fighting for❣️

What I liked most about the book?
- The author being a male has described 3 female characters and their emotions immensely well. I'm sure he definitely must have been in love😉

What I didn't like about the book?
- The little bit of cliche scenes at the end (the filmy dialogues like U run away my daughter, with ur love 😋)

A suggestion to the author- Natural and raw always would work the best!!

Definitely a read 👍 for all those who believe in love and love reading cute love stories 💞

Beautiful book on friendship and finding true love.
The way the author has narrated the story will keep you hooked, you could really feel each and every character's emotions.
His understanding of relationships can be seen through his writing.
Also loved the way he has given a desi touch to the urban story by adding Marathi & Hindi words.. adds to the fun element..
As the name suggests it shows different shades of love and how the characters in the story meet their true love when they give love and life a second chance.

All in all a very good read ! ❤

What did i feel about the book?

The story revolves around three girls- Priya, Meghna and Anusha. They meet at the gym and then set off on a never-ending journey of friendship.

Anusha is the kind of daughter every parent would want and a love every lover would wish for. For her, every single thing in life ultimately seeks for her parent's happiness. She sacrifices her love for Vikram and decides to marry a guy of her father's choice. She wishes to work, to be independent. But her father does not entertain her idea and she gives it up for some period of time. I learnt from Anusha and her relationship with her parents that no matter how strict and stubborn your parents are with you, they always have a softer side. Their happiness lies only in ours!

Meghna- the tough girl! She has had a horrid past. What would you do if your plea to break off and unsuccessful and troublesome marriage is not considered? What would you do if you are punished for no reason by your in-laws and your husband? What would you do if you are raped every night? What would you do if your parents disown you after your marriage? Flee off the place. Isn't it? That's what exactly Meghna does and comes to Mumbai in hope of a better life and better future. 'Does she emerge successful?' is what Meghna's part all about. She has many one- night stands. She does not believe in relationships. Meghna's story is one where a stone-hearted girl falls in love with Jay. Meghna taught me to be courageous. She fought her parents, the society and saved herself from domestic torture. No girl should suffer. I respect her decision. But I do not think there was a need for her to indulge in one-night stands.

Priya exhibits dual behavior in her life- one of an obedient girl who listens to her parents' advice and other a spoilt girl who goes clubbing every weekend. 'Why am I still single?' is the question that arises in the minds of many youngsters. And to change their relationship status, they give in to a relationship- relationship where no love exists, no care- in short a relationship that gives you a 'committed' tag. A similar thing happens with Priya and she commits herself to a loveless relationship with Anuj. Her life turns upside down when she meets Raj. Will she breakup with Anuj and have a successful relationship with Raj? Priya taught me that love is very much essential for any relationship. Loveless relationships do not go for long run. Avoiding a breakup for the fear of hurting someone does no good.

The guys in the story appear to be perfect. I wonder whether such types really exist in today's world!

The narration of the story is simple and sweet. Urban Love is a good catch for those who loves reading love stories. The story makes you emotional, it makes you angry. It makes you feel attached to the chracters. It is an example of perfect friendship.

What I did not like about the story?
-->The story could have been divided in to more chapters.
-->Meghna's frequent one-night stands.
-->Anuj's possessive behavior - the manner in which he screws up Priya's relationship with Raj.
-->The scene where Vikram comes to stop Anusha from getting married. It appeared quite filmy.

Author:- Akshay Chitre
Publisher:- Notion Press
ISBN:- 978-93-84878-60-3
Pages:- 203

When I read the title, I thought it must be a romantic novel involving two people from big cities who have lavish lifestyles. But the author proved me wrong.
The story is based in Mumbai and it revolves around the three girls - Priya, Anusha and Meghna.
About the story:-
The three girls meet for the first time in a local gym in Mumbai. The first meeting itself gives a kickstart to their friendship. With time they become soulmates sharing each and everything among themselves. But Priya hides everything about Anuj untill she meets Vikram before leaving for Goa and on the way she tells everything to Meghna.
While attending Nidhi's marriage, Priya finds the love of her life in Raj. However she doesnot reveal anything to Raj about Anuj nor does she tell anything about Raj to Anuj. The most important twist takes place when Anusha says some bitter words to both her friends leading to breakup of their friendship.

Will the girls get together as they were before?
What will happen when Raj and Anuj shall confront themselves and how will Priya react and justify?
What were the bitter words that broke their friendship?
Will the girls get their love?
Will Anusha confess her love?
Shall Meghna find anyone who will love her irrespective of her past?

All this shall enfold when you will read the story.

The thing which I liked most in the story was Anusha's love and respect for her father. She just took away the heart. She is a dream daughter a father can have.
The boys in the story are dream lovers and husbands a girl can have. It is hard to find such boys who are real gentleman. However it isn't impossible.

The things which I didn't like was there where some major mistakes which must be rectified. I did find misprint of names of certain characters which just disturbs the flow.

One more thing which I didn't liked was Meghna's one night stand. It is not necessary for a woman to sleep with any random guy just to be equal.
The portray of characters are good and you will get to know the actual lives of the people of cities.
Overall the story is a good read. It has emotions, feelings, and much more. The reader is going to enoy the ride. So with this wishing the author Akshay Chitre all the best for future.

“When God pushes you to the edge of difficulty there are two things that can happen- either he will catch you or he will give you wings to fly”. It solely depends upon us how we mould our actions and behaviour and make life worth living. This novella has been set up in the city of dreams- Mumbai. The most striking feature of this book is that it is all about women but has been written and crafted by a male author. The characters have been concocted very well. There is a perfect balance between all of them. The cover of the book ideal and apt. However, the title does not quite blend with the plot. The narration is good. The emotions have been expressed clearly and the language used by the author is simple yet very effective. The storyline moves sequentially, answering all the questions and doubts, at the right time. Last but not the least, this is a story with an intriguing climax.

Overall, a good read!

Love story of anusha n vikram was really heart touching. The book has met the expectation of giving you a ride of emotional roller coaster. Must read for the people who love to read love stories. Best part was the happy ending. So people who are thinking to buy, go grab your copies!!!! It will surely please you....
