Heartbroken and lost, Sadie left her family when she was only sixteen to fight evil. Years of searching out and destroying the vermin of the supernatural world have left her ruthless and jaded, and powerful.
Sadie’s success has made her a target, and a series of cryptic warnings leaves her questioning what is being asked of her. But nothing in her past has prepared her for the obstacles she now faces in trying to rid the world of a resurrected evil that no one saw coming.
She finally comes home for the chance to re-discover her first love, Aiden. Does she have the power to restore Aiden’s memories and hold on to her love for him, while battling for humanity—and her life?
USA Today Bestselling author Felicia Tatum was born and raised in Tennessee. She always loved reading, and at the age of twelve began writing. Her passion for creating stories grew and in May 2012, she finally wrote her first novel, The White Aura.
She still lives in Tennessee with her daughter and her kitty. She loves cooking, books, and animals are some of her best friends. She watches a lot of Disney channel and often dreams up new book ideas. She's currently working on various projects. She's the author of the White Aura series, Scarred Hearts series, and Intoxicating Passion series.
Aiden Rivers and Sadie Tabors are back! But they were no longer the same Aiden and Sadie I have known from the White Aura Series. If I prefered Livvy in the first series, I love Sadie now even more.
In the final book of the White Aura series, Aiden's memories were erased and this hurt Sadie a whole lot. After Livvy and Scott survived the Crimson Calamitous, they revived their relationship, but Sadie was left heartbroken and became a loner.
In this new book, Sadie ran away to find herself and to find purpose with her life. Straight outta Orlando were coven of vampires and evil creatures haunting and killing innocents. She fought them all, mastered the art of combat and sorcery. I loved how she battled with the supernaturals. The way she engaged them, the way she manipulated them into talking, the way she put traces on them for easy tracking and possible accomplices.
Until word spread about the most powerful and kick@ss sorceress and Sadie became a legend. Until her family found her. Until a prophesy was learned about a dark sorceress who would go head to head with the most evil sorcerer ever resurrected.
Someone from her past came back to her life. Oh what a joy it was seeing Aiden again. If I liked Aiden in the WA Series, I think I loved him even more in this new book. He was kind of funny and was now more attuned to his feelings, which helped him with his missing memories. Sadie and Aiden together were a pleasure to see. It was a delight to see Sadie getting awkward around him and then go badass when the evil magical faes appeared.
There are a lot of things to be happy about in this book. I should stop now before I majorly spoiled the story. Scornful Sadie is my latest favorite and I wouldn't get tired reading about her. This is an excellent first book, the wonderful descriptions, aggressive yet impressive characters and magical storyline will totally suck you in. Trust me when I say, this is a must read! Hermione Granger got nothing on Sadie.
I have read most of Felicia Tatum's books and I loved all of them. Felicia is the next Kami Garcia (Beautiful Creatures) in my opinion. I highly recommend this book for everyone and anyone who appreciates great reads. I can't wait for the sequels!
Don’t mess with Sadie, she’s not a kid anymore and she is taking back what she lost and living up to what Fate has in store for her!
SCORNFUL SADIE by Felicia Tatum has non-stop attitude, rapid-fire action and a prophesy come to fruition as Sadie returns for her sister’s wedding and reunites with both family, friends and the one man who rocked her world. Will Aiden remember who she is? Can they be together again or does evil have its own agenda for Sadie?
Talk about non-stop, edge-of-your-seat reading! Talk about attitude in spades and a growing self-confidence! Sadie is back, she is larger than life and she has accepted who she is. Bad guys beware!

I received a copy of this book for exchange an honest review. Love Sadie and Aiden story! Sadie has to stop another strong force of evil but this time she is the one in danger. Aiden is happy to have Sadie back but are they truly meant to be or will be torn apart again. Can't wait for the next book more of Sadie and Aiden story.
I had the opportunity to beta read this amazing story and had no complaints about any of it! I loved the White Aura series by this author and was so excited to find out there would be a series that revolved around Sadie Tabors. She’s a character that didn’t get much of the spotlight in that series but in this one she gets her turn to shine…and kick some serious butt! This book is well written, exciting, intense at times, and even a little steamy. You don’t have to read the White Aura series to understand what’s going on in this book, it works well as a stand alone…but I still recommend you read that series because it’s awesome as well. If you’re looking for a paranormal story with a strong female lead with ‘ass kickery ways’ then this is definitely the book for you! I am REALLY looking forward to book 2.
First, this book is Sadie's story. She's Scott's (main hero of the White Aura series) sister and a powerful sorceress. In this book, I got to learn and meet Sadie more. She's more mature in this book and became a wonderful woman. The story, it started a few years after WA ended. Many interesting things will happen and someone from her past (that she's never forgotten) will come back to her life. As the story goes, the characters will face another challenges that will test their relationship. Ms. Felicia nailed it yet again!

If you are interested in Scott and Olivia's story (which they will also be present in this book, Scornful Sadie), I advise you to read White Aura series.. =)
I was excited to see that Aiden Rivers and Sadie Tabors had their own book. I fell in love with these two characters in the White Aura series. I devoured this book in a matter of a few hours.
This is an amazing book that tells what happen to Sadie after Aiden's memories were erased and he was sent home. This is an amazing story and gives the reader a better sense of who Sadie Tabors is and shows her darkest secret that she has been hiding.
I highly recommend this book especially if you fell in love with the characters of the White Aura series. The story of Aiden and Sadie is beautiful, but is filled with many secrets and obstacles that will test their love. Will Sadie finally open up to Aiden or she forever be in denial?
Go grab your copy! You will love this book like I did!
This book was gifted to me in exchange of an honest review. I give this book 4.5 stars!! For me is very difficult to find a very good supernatural read, because most of the time the story isn't believable, but sometimes I can find a book like this where the story is natural and you can enjoy the ride. This is my first book by Felicia Tatum so i'm very glad that is a very good book. Scornful Sadie is the first book in the Dark Sorceress trilogy. Sadie is a very young woman running from her pain, she is strong and powerful but inside of her she is full of fear of losing more of her family and friends. She try to do everything on her own to protect those who she love, but soon she will understand that she really need support. When her family finally found her they are mad to her, mostly her parents, she didn't wanted to be back because confront her lost is to much. When she finally sees Aidan, her adolescent lost love she can't control herself and had to try to win him back and all his memories again. Aiden is a nice guy, I would prefer him a little stronger but i think I need to read the next book to know more about him and his dormant self. He is kind of goofy but in a good way, he makes her laugh, makes her happy. She had two very great friend, Mel who is really loud, and Tessi who more centered. The three of them funny together, and her brothers are good characters too. I think Sade is too stubborn because she don't want the help of others and try to do all by herself, you can't battle for the world safety and do it alone. This book end in the best part when she is finally in Clorva... So I'm really looking for the next book because now I'm hooked up with this story and I don't like to let a story unfinished
At sixteen Sadie was heartbroken from the death of her brother, the memory wipe of Aiden, and her grandmother moving away to lead the council. She found purpose in hunting the evil in the world and 5 years later has made a name for herself. But everything is about to change her family finally tracked her down and there's a new threat greater than any before.
Sadie is strong willed and strong minded, she does things her way, period. She is independant and knows how to take care of herself always doing what is right even if it is the hard choice sometimes.
If you haven't read the White Aura Series yet I definetly recommend starting there before you read this one so you see the full scope of how much Sadie has grown and changed over just a few short years. In this novel we see more of the characters we've come to love as well as new ones and it is great seeing more of this world. Loved the book and can't wait to see what happened next.
Sadie is one kick a$$ sorceress. Due to a tragedy in her past she has left home and made it her life to rid the world of evil paranormal creatures. Her family finds her and her Grandmother asks her to come home. Due to her powers she is the target of The Six - the six original sorcerers.
The characters in this book were great. Even though Sadie fights evil she has a tender side. She will do anything to protect her family, friends and her first love Aiden. The secondary characters add to the paranormal relm of this book. The action and magic is non stop in this book. Therefore you will keep turning the pages. It ends in a cliffhanger right when the major action starts to happen and I can't wait to see what happens next.
If you like paranormal action, fun, and a small dose of romance and a big does of bad a$$ chicks then I highly recommend this book. I was given a gift copy in exchange for an honest review.
Sadie is a BADA$$! I love that she embraced her "I don't care" sassy side. It suck that she left for 5 years and still hasn't worked through her emotions. She finally opens up when she returns hone and gets reminded that she wasn't the only one who was effected by the loss of Sebastion and Aiden. The events of 5 years before effected everyone. The whole group felt like they lost her also when she left. I love what she does after see returns to Anne's and sees Aiden again. *wicked giggles* I would have done the same thing. I did however dislike the away everyone kept treating her like a untrained child. It drove me nuts, I mean come on they all heard the stories yet they still did it. The determination she showed through out the story proves otherwise. The end is a cliffhanger but it's not that bad of one compared to some of the other cliffhangers I have read.
*I received this book free in exchange for an honest review*
This was a fun, interesting book. I loved the magic, the beings, the plot. It certainly wasn't what I expected when I picked it up. This was just an amazing story that held me captive. It was clean enough that almost any age could read and enjoy the story. I though Sadie was a strong, amazing character. This book is one of the few I've read lately that will keep me talking about it for awhile! The only downfall was that there were points that I felt left out, that so much had happened before this story that I was missing. But in all, this was such a good story, that it didn't matter. Grandma, Aiden, Scott, there are so many characters that fit so well. It didn't feel like there was too many people involved. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and highly recommend it.
The opening to this book was amazing, it was dark, gripping and beautifully written. Our protagonist Sadie is a hunter of people who abused their gifts, like vampires and we are introduced to her as she is tracking down and vampire, who she ultimately kills. We also learn that she is the strongest sorceress in generations, since her grandmother. I loved the part in the first chapter where we learn on Sadie’s heritage and some of the things she has gone through before the events of this book and I hope there is a prequel out or to come soon as I really would like to learn more about the mysterious Sadie’s past. The amazing writing style and world building just continues through the second chapter which left me absolutely stunned I could not believe how enthralled I was, literally glued to the pages.
I loved the scene where Sadie’s grandmother appears after 5 years of Sadie leaving to tell her that the boy she loved Aiden who had his memory wiped has been found it was so beautiful it made me cry but at the same time, Sadie is told of a great evil; Bram who is going to be coming after her and she now needs to protect herself from it. This scene was also particularly moving for me as we had seen bad-ass Sadie but now we have seen a softer, sadder time to her personality as she can no longer run from her past. I love Sadie as a character as she is perfectly balanced she isn’t to devoted to killing yet is isn’t a character who mopes and broods constantly she strikes the perfectly balance between the two. Sadie as a character is on par with Celena from Throne of Glass. Even though I am only 20% of the way through this book I am absolutely love it and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Sadie back at the family home continues to struggle with her buried feelings for Aiden and she refuses to come to terms with the fact he will be coming back into her life. It is the plan that Aiden will stay a few months at the house while they try and return his memories to him but Sadie is undecided about whether she wants to be there especially if his memories don’t return.
When Sadie learns of a prophecy foretelling that a dark sorceress possibly Sadie defeating Bram, everything erupts into chaos. Aiden on his own slowly begins to remember little things about Sadie and his previous life. It turns out Sadie was never meant to be as powerful as she is, and this could all be linked to Bram who nobody seems to know much about other than he is extremely powerful and ruthless. As we approach the half way point in the novel Bram makes the first move attacked Tessi and Mel, Sadie manages to reach them just in time but the stakes of this cat and mouse game have just been raised to the limit and Sadie is at a loss of what to do, especially with more and more of Aiden’s memories returning a lot quicker than anyone expected. Sadie’s presence does wonders for Aiden and very quickly all of his memories return but not before something dark and dangerous is closing in on the family once more. Sadie learns more about Bram, the Sorcerer Wars and what Sadie’s role is in the overall prophecy. I really enjoyed the fact the novel was beginning to take a darker turn but managed to retain an optimistic and light-hearted feel to it.
Bram finally makes an appearance in the novel and he is a cocky, self-centered pompous ass and I really hate him but as the villain I guess that is the point. He basically kidnaps Sadie and tells her she can either join him or die, now faced with an impossible choice Sadie must learn everything she can about the sorcerer wars and Clorva (a spirit realm of sorts). Sadie also knows that everyone close to her including Aiden will be in grave danger and that she will have to face Bram eventually despite the fact she doesn’t want to accept the fact she is a dark sorceress. I really enjoyed watching the new/old relationship between Sadie and Aiden develop, but Sadie’s future is holding her back from being completely open with him and her friends. While she knows she is the key to opening Clorva and defeating Bram she apparently has no idea what the darkest secret she has to reveal is. The intrigue and suspense of this novel is really ramping up as we went the final quarter of the novel.
The water fae that had helped Sadie rescue her friends finds her again after being mortally wounded by Bram in order to warn her that the six sorcerers had already been resurrected and were coming to get her the next day. She turned out to be named Tarann and she in a ghost like form appears in Sadie’s mind in order to help her accept who she is and claim the powers that will destroy Bram and the others. When Brama and the others turn up at the castle Sadie unleashes some of her new found power, she actually manages to kill one of the six like it was no challenge at all in her usual kick butt style. Bram eventually sees reason and withdraws his forces with a promise to return another day to claim Sadie. With there were some casualties and some fatalities Aiden and Sadie’s family are safe and sound. While this scene was short and sweet, it was full of action and suspense and was perfectly written.
When Sadie reveals her deepest secret (it was something I actually foresaw but it didn’t bother me) and accepted it she and Aiden are swept away to Clorva where Bram is waiting for them. In the final scene Aiden is captured and the only way for Sadie to rescue him is to compete in the Sorcerer Wars but the catch is her magic is bound and she can only fight with her weapon; a dagger and a whip. The final pages consist of Sadie entering the maze where numerous untold dangers await her and Aiden’s screams. This was the most perfect cliff hanger ending I have ever seen I can’t wait to get my hand on book 2 and start devouring it right away. I highly recommend everyone go and buy this book right now.
The author provided me with a digital ARC copy of the book for review purposes only. No remuneration was exchanged.
Wow, what an action packed, fast paced story this was. I enjoyed the ride from beginning to end. It was one wild ride too. I loved every twist and turn there was throughout the story. There were a lot of places I didn't know would happen next and then some things I suspected and was still shocked when I found out. This author has a magical way about writing her stories that you get sucked into the mystical words that she creates and then you are sad when the book ends. I am super excited about the next book because I am so addicted to this story that I HAVE to know what Sadie will do next. This is a great read and I highly recommend it.
I was lucky enough to recieve an ARC of Scornful Sadie. I absolutely adored the White Aura series and was really excited to see how Sadie dealt with everything. Well this book definitely did not disappoint. Sadie has grown up into a bada** sorcerer, while trying to rid the world of supernatural evil. I cannot think of one thing about this book I would change. It is well written, intense at times and romantic at others. LOVED IT!!! I absolutely cannot wait for book 2. You do not have to read the White Aura series before you start this book but I still recommend you read cuz well as I said before I adored them
I received an advanced copy of this book from the author for an honest review, and was completely pulled into the story. Having read the White Aura series, it was a must for me to continue reading Sadie's story in her own series. Fans of Felicia Tatum, and the White Aura series in general, will not be disappointed. I am so glad that this character, though a somewhat minor role in the other series, has been given a new series of her own. I would highly recommend this book, and with the cliffhanger at the end, I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. Another wonderful book by a very talented author.
I always liked Sadie from TWA series, so when I heard she was getting her own series, I was curious. While there are plenty of similarities (and familiar faces) to the preceding series, Sadie's book has a fire and passion unique to her character. Sadie is hardened by her experiences, and ruthless in her justice. If you're used to the sweetness of Livvy, you might be in for a shock... but I love badass chicks, so for me it was the best kind of shock. I'm glad to hear Tatum is already working on the next book, because I definitely need to know what happens next (no spoilers, but Sadie is on the verge of something incredible).
I really loved getting to see how things went for Sadie after the White Aura series! She has been my favorite character since the beginning.
Her travels and the mission she is on are intense, full of action and drama, and she has become quite the badass! Even though she is gone for a long time from her family, and has some worries about going back, she does and is so glad that she did. She meets some new people, some friends, some not, but the connection she holds with those closest to her is incredibly strong. I think her strength and the things she worries most about make her such a likable character.
***I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the author.***
So unfortunately I never finished reading The White Aura series so some of that series comments from this story were a little lost on me. I didn't even realize until after I started that it was a spinoff series. Regardless, I actually liked this new series a lot. I LOVED Sadie's character. I loved Aiden. It was an exciting story and short, so I sped through it :)
The only complaint was that since it was short, it felt like everything was a little bit rushed. I would have liked to savor some of those events more.
Great new series for Sadie though, I'm excited to read more.
I got the honor to beta read this story and loved it! You are introduced to Sadie in The White Aura series, she isn't the main focus but she is a big part. If you haven't read that series I highly recommend it! The series doesn't need to be read before this book. Now about this book! Sadie becomes such a bada**! There is a lot of butt kicking and some intimate moments. She is on a mission to rid the mortal world of all the bad supernatural beings with the help of a couple new friends. Great writing and awesome storyline will keep you hooked. So excited for the next book!
Seriously the best one yet! Sadie is a strong passionate woman that is hell bent on protecting those that she love. She will do anything to make sure they are safe and that includes sacrificing herself. We remember Sadie from The White Aura series and how she helped her family take down a powerful sorcerer, she never recovered from that and will make sure that will not happen again. *Received an ARC for an honest review*
I absolutely fell in love with this book from page 1! Just like the White Aura series, I was dragged into Sadie's story. I really liked the conflict that was set up in the book. And Aiden! OMG! I love that character! (I won't say anything else, in order to not spoil anything). You just need to go grab this book and read it! I can't wait to read the next one and see where Sadie's story takes us next!
Sadie has been running from her "old" life for 5 years and her brother's wedding brings her back to the life she uses to live. She is currently taking care of herself and has cut off most emotional ties. Now that she is back with family she's having to deal with her emotions and all the people she loves (and hurt by leaving).
I enjoyed Sadie's sassy attitude and can't wait to see how she deals with the current drama in her life in the second book!
I love all of Felicia's books so far so I was super excited to receive an ARC of Scornful Sadie! Like all of her other books that I have read, I absolutely loved it! It is well written and you can't put it down. I love that Sadie is a strong female lead, she doesn't need anyone to take care of her, and she takes care of business! I cannot wait for book 2 to see what happens next!
Whoa, that was starting to really get good and now I have to wait for the next book. :( It took me a few chapters for this book to really draw me in but when it did, I was hooked. I hope Sadie & Aiden are able to finally live in peace when this series plays out. You can't help but root for the couple everyone want to tear apart.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I love Ms Badazz! This was a great book with lots of excitement and intrigue. After running away from her family and starting her own crew, she gets drawn back to her family and BAMMMM. Felicia does great in introducing her characters and making you invested in the outcome. This was an awesome book and I am HOOKED!!!
Scornful Sadie is the first book I've read by Felicia Tatum. I went into this book not having any clue what it was about or how Felicia's writing style was. Oh my goodness!! By the 1st couple of pages I was drawn in and hooked! I finished the book within hours begging for more!! The ending had me dumbfounded. What a cliffhanger!
i was quite surprised how much i loved this book. Sadie is a bad-ass firecracker. Book was well written but i felt some parts needed more history to it. Loved the action, magic and passion. This author was new to me and made me want to check her other books out.
