UPDATED- written review
This is an emotionally charged book filled with what ifs, regrets, and temptation. It takes place one year after book 2, Closer and right away you begin to sense the somber feelings that main characters Gabrielle (Gabe) and Nicole (Nic) try to conceal. No amount of masking can cover up the love these two feel for one another but just can’t make it work as a couple. Mind Over Matter is not a cookie cutter sap filled love story with flowers and teddy bears. This couple has b
Monica **can't read fast enough**
In this final installment of the LOOSE ENDS series things finally come to a head and the destiny of Nicole and Gabriel's relationship is revealed. Things are never easy or simple between them and this final lead up is no different.

Nicole has decided to move on from her heartbreak with Gabriel by falling back into the comfort of friendship with Travis. Travis has been there for Nicole and has loved her even when that love wasn't returned. I have to admit that it was a bit hard for me to read abou

Pick an emotion, any emotion and I felt it reading this last chapter in what I so lovingly refer to as the roller-coaster that is Gabriel & Nicole!!

Gabriel and Nicole's story is one of growth and, friendship and everlasting love.

Their love was destined. It was meant to be. Their path was sealed the day Gabriel walking in on Nicole on his bed. But it was not a smooth path. It was rocky and tumultuous. It was riddled with

Soooo good!!!

Damn you, Kaia Bennett! Each of your Loose Ends books kept me up all night! Damn, you're good! You made me work for it this time. I was so raging hot mad at your characters, all of them, in Mind Over Matter but you're a magician. You made me work for it which meant you worked ten times harder than I did but you managed to turn this around for me and make me love your characters all over again. I "Stan" for you because you are that great! Mind Over Matter is the conclusion to the Loo

This is a story about second chances.
This is a story about true love.
This is a story about mistakes, omissions, and pride.
This is Gabriel's and Nicole's story.

After having your heart broken, again, how do you survive? When someone helps you forget, loving you, all of you, accepting that it will be difficult but it can be conquered, you try to love back.
Travis love Nicole, accepting everything and knowing she will somehow forget Gabriel. They start living together, taking a step further. They are

Nicole was hurt for the last time by Gabriel and she walked away and went on with her life. Now two years later and she is with a new guy, Travis, and is helping her sister plan her upcoming wedding. One problem, Ian and Jackie are Gabriel's best friends and he is also in the wedding. Nicole knows meeting him again is unavoidable. Jackie is her sister and she would do anything to make sure her wedding is special. Gabriel is now with his band touring and their music is now top of the charts. Most ...more

This was probably me least favorite installment, which is surprising to me because it has two of my favorite plot lines. A second chance at love and falling for your soul mate when you are in a less exciting relationship. But I ended up really disliking everything about this book.

Even though Nicole was supposed to be this more mature person she ended up being less mature than any of the other books. She made so many stupid mistakes and could not make a decision to save her life. It drove me abso

After what happened between Nicole and Gabriel leading to their break up, Nicole has moved on.

She is now an author and is moving in with Travis who is madly in love with her. She convinces herself and everyone else around her that she is happy with the changes in her life.

The first time she sees Gabriel again, old feelings resurface. From then on there are a lot of going back and forth. Nicole's pride won't let her admit to her true feelings, besides she doesn't want to hurt Travis. Gabriel do

Book 3 in the Loose End Series. I was given an ARC of this book for my honest review. I was not paid for my review.

This is the conclusion of Nicola and Gabriel's story. What can I say about the ending. I found the story torturous to read. How many mistakes could this couple make before they owned the fact that they loved each other and wanted to be together. I thought it was totally dishonest of Travis and Nicola to be in a relationship together when they both knew she was in love with Gabriel.

APB Perspective Reviews :

I really like this author , I love this storyline. This is book about true love but the lovers were afraid to do the love me forever thing. Gabriel did have the confidence , that he could give Nicole so in the last book they decided to be friends and continue on with their lives. Gabriel comes back knowing that he made a mistake , but Nichole has started a new life with Travis. I was happy for Gabriel's return , but I found myself being unhappy for what Travis went throu

The final book in the Loose Ends series and I think this book fits the theme perfectly. She left no loose ends! Bit of a lackluster ending to a GREAT series, but hey it was great to see her sister and Ian as well as Preston, how they had progressed.

All in all I thought that Nicole and Gabe were being very immature about the whole situation even as they, well she, tried to appear otherwise unscathed. The sex is STILL off the charts amazing! I just wished they would have reconciled earlier on and

So Good. Thanks for the ARC Kaia!

I love Gabe and Nic and this is the perfect end to their story. The writing was gripping. The steam factor was hot. The journey was heart wrenchingly beautiful.

Kaia's best far.

In the latest and last installment of the Loose Ends series we find Nicole and Gabriel living life amicably as friends.

Nicole is a newly published author. She's in a loving and respectable relationship with her former flame Travis. Coming into her life at a time broken and at her lowest. With much understanding and offering nothing but unconditional love Travis helped Nicole to put herself back together. But what kind of love does a shoulder, loyalty and physical attraction blossom into?

Full disclosure - I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Well I have to say that I feel like I have been dragged through a hedge backwards after finishing this book. There was so much emotion and pain that I had to read it in small bits. Nicole and Gabriel belong together but each has to deal with their respective demons first. In doing so, they hurt each other and others terribly. I sobbed at parts that were so good but also jam packed with sadness, emotion and the ever present th ...more

First and foremost, this author in particular, can write her arse off, like no other in this interracial genre. She never fails to have it together; better than together. She just has a touch with words that's note worthy. 5* for writing technique.

Okay ending to a GREAT series. The author wrapped everything up in an angst-filled little bow. I've always been into the secondary characters, so it was nice to see them again. See how they had progressed and

So many feels!

Get ready for one emotional roller coaster ride. Holy crap! Mad, sad, frustrated, and happy, but it all makes so much sense. I love how Kaia Bennett creates flawed characters who learn so much about themselves. I also like that she did not take the easy out regarding Travis, Gabe or even the heroine herself. All of their flaws are plain to see and she writes where you empathize with everyone- HOW FRUSTRATING! Believe me when I say this series is worth it.

Beautiful end to a beautiful series.

I shaved waited for a while to see if Nic and Gab, get it together!! I was on egg shells in a few spots but they finally pull if off! It's nice to know that they stopped beating around the bushes and go for it. Great book, wonderful series. Do yourself a favor and purchase it!!

This had to be my favorite book in the entire series. I was hooked on his book from page one, and rooted for Gabriel and Nicole the entire story. In order to be true to each other they had to find a way to be true to themselves. Nothing was perfect and nothing happened over night. The love and the story were real. Can't wait for her next book.
The final book in the Loose ends series. I like Gabriel and Nicole as a couple and I always enjoy this author's writing. I wanted to see how their story ended so of course I had to read this.

This was actually a nice, sexy, intense love story. But I didn't think think there was enough plot to sustain the story over three volumes.

Kaia has done it again. Awesome ending to a great series. I loved Gaberials and Nicole's story. This love story touched on reality. It reminds us that relationships have struggles. But, love conquers all. And great sex scenes.

Yay! I finally finished this series! This concludes Gabriel and Nic's on again, off again (more off again) relationship. And to be honest, I'm glad it's over. I know I'm hooked on a series when I'm sad when the series is over. That was not the case with this couple. I just wanted the story of them to be over.

At the conclusion of book 2, they were going their separate ways. So I knew this book would be about their separation and the long road to them getting back together. And i

Mind Over Matter

It's been a year after her and Gabriel breaking up and moving on. Nicole was moving in with Travis thinking she could move on, but can she really. Can she let a love so true just to walk away? Can she truly be happy with Travis and try to be only friends with Gabriel? Great read to a great series. I couldn't put down these three books till there wasn't anymore.

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This Chick

Mind Over Matter is the third and final novel in the Loose Ends series by Kaia Bennett. Mind Over Matter continues the story of Gabriel and Nicole, and it has to be read in order. I have loved this series from the beginning, and with the end of each book I couldn't wait to get more of these characters. So I knew going into this one that it was going to be bittersweet. While I have been wanting to see what happened, I just wasn't ready for it t

This book contained element of an erotic nature but there were also a Contemporary feel to it. It was no longer based on the physical side of Gabriel and Nicole's relationship like #1 Crush or Closer did. It was about an emotional love triangle of heartbreak, guilt, loyalty, forgiveness and second chances.

At the end of Closer Nicole had walked away from Gabriel. This started with her back in a relationship with Travis. The guy she dated when she and Gabriel separated for the first time. He was

When I read #1 Crush in December last year, I had absolutely no idea that the two books to follow it, Closer and Mind Over Matter, would turn out to be so much more than I expected. I feel like I just went through a long battle full of heartbreak, desperation, frustration, laughter, happiness, and tears. It was by no means an easy ride, but I'm so glad that I got to be a part of Gabriel and Nicole's journey. This was an amazing book - it was an amazing story with so much life in it that I don't ...more
