I fell in love with Ivy and Logan!! Typecast is sexy and the story just pulls you in deeper and deeper with every chapter you read and you can't put it down!! Makes me want to actually see the movie if it exists. Can't wait to read Drew's story next.

I’m glad to say that book kind of snowballed for me. I found the beginning to be a little rough in terms of writing style with both the narration and dialogue a little staccato in delivery. But the book really picked up and soon I couldn’t put it down. Ivy Vermont starts off a little bland but as the book progresses you see that she’s actually quite a complicated character. When you meet her family and start to see the building blocks of Ivy’s life then you realize how amazing she is a

I am a huge fan of Kim's books! She has now given us a Hollywood bad boy and a beautiful journalist that still hasn't found her inner strength.
Ivy has always dreamed of becoming an actress but her own insecurities and anxiety have held her from her dreams. She does do a dynamic job behind the scenes. She has fallen into her dream job. She will be working on an article for one of her all time favorite films...Hollywood Stardust.
Logan has lived his entire life in the public eye since starring in

Typecast . . . brought me into the world of Hollywood Stardust. A man out of place and time but needs to get back in to set it all to rights. Logan has to step in where he does not want to be. While Ivy wants badly to be in where she was not comfortable. In front of the camera.

With her interactions with Logan behind the scenes Ivy begin to realize that she is open and can freely express herself, but only with Logan. Teen crush aside. Movie idle aside. Sexual chemistry open the door.

This is a new to me author.
I found this to be a fun, well paced book. The author gave you just enough information to lead you to your own wrong conclusions. AAAGGGHHHH
I enjoyed the story line and characters very much and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

A romance to enjoy, even for the non-romance reader. What I like about the romance part is that the situations and actions of the characters felt real, not your standard-formula romance plot. I can understand the "trust" issues and the reactions to what feels like betrayal. Secondly, the addition of the screenplay for the story behind the story added a good dimension to the book. The writing is good, the characters are believable, and the plot kept me engaged. Well done.

Recommends it for: believers in love
Just when I think I have read the best book ever, I read Typecast. This story is for every little girl who covered the walls of her room with her favorite actor. The characters, as usual, are extremely well-written and I had to drag out my kleenex more than a couple of times. If you believe in love or want to believe, you'll want to read this book.

Typecast by Kim Carmichael
Logan and Ivy are wonderful, I love them both so much. Typecast feels so honest, like a retelling of actual events. I was singing "Stand By Me" the entire time. This is a quick, deep, wonderful read. I cannot wait for more.

Loved the camera stage fright and big movie star coaxing her through it. Interesting storyline. Wonder if I will read the sequel.

You may have heard and read bits and pieces here and there about the book: “Typecast”, because it was something we were all able to vote on, through Amazon and Kindle Scout, and the best part- this book is was one of the Winners!

"Typecast" reminded me the quintessential teen films of my past. "Sixteen Candles, and "The Breakfast Club". In this novel half of the cast of characters are stars of one of those types of films. A film that touched an entire generation of teens - and the cast themselves. The relationship of the movie's cast members is what the Romance orbits around. Kim Carmichael also frames the chapters with scenes "out of the script". Meaning there are references to whether the scene is taking place Interior ...more

Typecast is a sexy, enticing story that has a mysterious edge to it. The book's plot pulls you in chapter after chapter until you devoured the entire story and know the truth. It is definitely one of the best books I've read yet this year. It was absolutely magnificent.

Typecast is the first book in this new series about the stars of Hollywood Stardust, and it starts off with Logan and Ivy's romance. He is a Hollywood bad boy and she's a budding reporter covering the anniversary of his movie. I l

Hollywood drama! Behind the scenes of Hollywood's elite is an interesting place to be for sure! Kim Carmichael really mixes up her bag of tricks with "Typecast." I've read them all from her, the bad boys, the sci-fi, the crazy menage but I must say I really liked where she went with this new series. The characters are amazing, the story line had intrigue, drama, romance, humor, everything wrapped up into one.

Publicity around the sequel to the teen movie of its generation, Hollywood Stardust, was limited to Logan being arrested and the movie cancelled. 20 years later, on the original movie's anniversary, Logan does an interview with Ivy that will change things forever, for everyone. But some stories should never be told, kept secret, buried.

I was really enjoying this and then something changed, I've no idea what, nor can I say when or where i

I loved this book. I was on a bit of an emotional roller coaster while reading it. Everyone has dreamed of meeting their favorite actor/actress and them falling in love with you. Instead she works at Chargee.com as a fact checker and assistant of sorts. The leading man of her dreams comes in to be interviewed by her coworker Julia. Julia doesn't want ...more

I wanted to take a chance on the Hollywood Stardust series because the idea behind it got my attention. Four people who have struggled with the backlash that early stardom had brought to their young lives. Typecast is the story of Logan Alexander. Logan was caught in the cross hairs of a character he helped to create. His burst of stardom from from years ago has affected his career and his life enough that he left it all behind. Now with his starring role bought to the spotlight again he has to ...more

Typecast has everything you would expect from a romance story set in Hollywood. Drama. Secrets. Sex. Romance. Scandals. Bribery. Cover-ups.

What I loved: The fact that Ivy finally got to meet her childhood crush, Logan, and found out that he wasn’t exactly the bad boy that everyone thought he was. That Logan helped her get over her stage fright. Their chemistry. The truth regarding the scandal that tarnished Logan’s reputation.

What I didn’t love: Sometimes, I lost interest in the book. Sometimes
