This is the second book in The Three Goddesses series. Perez Cantana, the incorporeal spirit imprisoned in a pocket watch by three sister goddesses until he completes three missions, is back in action for mission number two. It can be read as a stand-alone. I did feel I would have understood the circumstances a little better had I read the first book, which I plan to do.

Sergeant Marisol Sanchez is a DEA Agent under cover as things go wrong on her mission and she is shipped to a new post. She is

When I started with The Rancher and the Renegade, I got the feeling like I have read it before, or I have read the second book, and this is the first or ... anyway, it was awfully familiar. And then I remembered - Angela Quarles's Must Love Time Travel series is pretty much the same, just the object that helps the travel is different and the reason for their travels are different.

So this is a story about Marisol, who is an undercover agent and turning one of her assignment she looses her friend

Love time travel stories. Mari is a cop that has nothing to live for, both of her parents are dead, her best friend is missing and she just has no will to go on.
But that is all about to change, she bought a pocket watch awhile ago and just put it in a box and forgot about it. But now it is humming and it talks. Perez is a prince that was cursed and he needs to find his way out. Mari could be the way.
He takes her back in time to save a rancher and kill the bad guy. But things don't always go the

After agreeing to read and review this book I learned it was the second in a series I can say however, I did not feel as though I was missing any thing by not having read the first in the series. I enjoyed reading The Rancher and the Renegade I love time travel stories and this one was no different for me all the exciting elements were there. After learning about Mari and the death of her friend Mari had hit rock bottom. Her life she felt was not worth living when everything changed and Mari fo ...more

The second installment in this time traveling series did not let me down and I can't wait to read the third! (Please don't make me wait long Ms. D'Lynne!) This time I was taken back to 1850's Texas where the mouth watering rancher is fighting for his land with a blood thirsty gang that will stop at nothing to get him gone. Thrown in the middle is the sassy mouthed Mari who was pulled from her time just when she was hitting rock bottom. I turned the pages to see what she would do next AND to keep ...more

This is my second book by Jackson D'Lynne, and I can honestly say I enjoyed this book way more than the first one.

The heroine, Mari, is an undercover DEA agent who is at the end of her rope, ready to put a bullet through her brain. Luckily, the magic pocket watch from the first book makes a return and saves her by whisking her away to dusty, dry, desperado damaged Laredo, Texas in 1856!

Mari meets up with Ty Barrett but doesn't, at first, realize that she'd gone back in time... until the sexy Gyp

This is the first I have read from Jackson D`Lynne and even though I missed Book 1 this one was really good. Perez was hillarious in this book the poor, cursed gypsy Prince guiding Marisol as best as he can. The scenes between him and Marisol were funny like brother and sister bickering. My heart ached for Marisol and the heartache she has been going through all these years. Here is a strong woman who even though fights off criminals every day is ju
