Highly recommend
Loved this book. It was everything I love and enjoy reading. If you like fast paced, paranormal books, with characters that are relatable and real, with the best story line. I highly, recommend this book to you. It's full of emotion, dealing with paranormal, but also real life situations. Teenagers graduating headed into the next chapter of life. New love blooming, against against the norm. I look forward to the rest of this series. ...more

I received this book via GoodReads Giveaways.
I liked the plot of this book. I wouldn't say it was startlingly original, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. It was a little like a mash-up of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Vampire Diaries (both of which I am a big fan). Celeste Wilder is called on her 18th birthday to protect the world from evil creatures. Also, she meets 2 vampire brothers who are "good", there is a love triangle for about 5 seconds, and she then she falls desperately in love wit ...more

Solid YA Paranormal Book
Wilder begins by introducing the reader to Celeste Wilder, a high school senior going through the last couple weeks of school when her world completely changes. We learn that Celeste's family is linked to the supernatural world (don't want to reveal how and spoil it), and she begins to encounter certain supernatural beings. Namely, the Constantin brothers. :)

I'll start by saying I don't typically read vampire books. I may not have picked this up if I realized that's what it was - but I'm glad I did. I actually found myself enjoying it.
Yes, there were many many similarities to certain other vampire franchises, but they still added to the story.
Celeste comes from an ancient family of guardians, set to protect the human race from all forms of evil, only she doesn't know it yet. Her father, who should have been there to explain it and train her, is lo ...more

I really enjoyed this book. Having read the Novella Serching for Wilder before this gave me a good insight into Nico's frame of mind as one of the many main characters.
The story flowed well and had a good pace which was easy to read and follow with very little effort. The characters were well written and the change of POV throughout allowed for the different angles and experiences during the action scenes.

Blown away! I absolutely LOVED this book! Reading paranormal/supernatural is my cup of tea! Let me just say this book did NOT disappoint AT ALL! This just might be my new favorite YA Paranormal series. So, so good! If you loved the show/book series Vampire Diaries, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, or even True Blood, I highly recommend you pick this book up. Some elements in this book even reminded me of The Mortal Instruments a bit. All I can say is I highly suggest you read this one! I don't understa

Well Wilder was a good read. Not too much outstanding but good. Celeste Wilder was very young when her father died In an "accident" while doing his investigation job. Her life is no more the samw with her mom working most of her time as nurse and the only good time pass for her was her best friend since childhood Brian and his family dinners where she is treated no less than a family. Wilder: The Guardian Series by G.K. De Rosa
I was given this book to review by the author.
De Rosa's first installment in her Guardian series is an interesting take on Vampire and Vampire Hunter stories. The only reason I have not given this a higher rating was because I found the beginning to be a bit slow and really did not get into it until about half-way through the novel.

College girl, Celeste doesn’t know it yet, but she is from a long line of guardians, defenders of the world from all things supernatural, mostly vampires. If you love Buffy the Vampire Slayer you will definitely love Wilder. Wilder is a tale of a young girl Celeste—your average American teen ready to take that next step into college life—or at least that’s what she believes herself to be, until she begins having terrifying dreams filled with monsters, visions of her late father, and two mysterious brothers (Roman and Nico Constantin) move to town. The best YA novel I've read in a long time...
I just finished reading Wilder: The Guardian Series by G.K. DeRosa. This book reminded me a lot of the Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith. The story has two handsome brothers that have fates destined to intertwine with the female heroine, Celeste. As far as her writing style, G.K. DeRosa reminded me of Stephanie Meyer. The story was easy to follow, and the read was really quick. About halfway through the book, I didn’t want to put it down. I love the twis ...more

Wilder was quite the read. As a YA, I thought it was clean, suspense-filled, sweet on passion, and aces for a competent female lead. It started with just enough punch to keep me reading. Pacing was fair to good throughout. Character variation was good, also. The lead males, Roman and Nico, were oh so perfect. I loved them! Although I was left with questions, I can say that I was still pleased with the outcome.

This was the first book that I've read by G.K. DeRosa, and I was pleasantly surprised. It didn't have a slow start, but I wasn't sure how intrigued I would end up being, and it turned out to be a good read. It has a lot of the classics, human girl loves supernatural creature, love triangle, bad guy trying to hurt girl (and guys), but puts a nice spin on it.

Wilder follows Celeste, a teenage girl who lives in the pretty average suburb of Oak Bluffs. All seems normal for Celeste, being on the verge of graduating and moving on to the next chapter of her life, until the appearance of the mysterious and handsome Constantine brothers, Nico and Roman. Everything Celeste thought she knew about her life is about to be challenged when she is confronted with the truth behind her father’s death and what it means to be his daughter. With a heavy responsibility

Celeste Wilder captured my heart from the first page!
G.K. DeRosa writes with an overwhelming knowledge of what makes a great book come to life - emotion and the natural flowing dialogue doesn't hurt.
From the first sentence, I found myself lost in the emotion. My heart ached for Celeste as she skidded through her life after her dad died.
The nightmares that plagued her dreams were filled with detail, so much, I felt my heart race along with hers as she ran for her life and felt her uncertainty whe ...more

Celeste Wilder is a likable, well-rounded girl thrown into an impossible situation. She has an important responsibility thrust upon her along with the sudden knowledge of a world she always assumed was imaginary. She finds love, but it is not without its consequences. She has hard choices to make and handles everything thrown her way brilliantly.

There are a lot of things that happened in this book and to me personally, it is kinda predictable.
If you are looking for a romance, action pack book, give this one a try.

This is a Young Adult Paranormal Vampire book, with a complimentary tip of the hat to Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the TV series, not the film as it states in the book!). Celeste has nearly finished high school, and has her life planned out. Two brothers show up in town and her life takes on a dramatic twist.
The writing style is smooth, the pace is steady and the storyline builds to the satisfying conclusion. The only problem I had was that sometimes, with no warning, the perspective would change ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book. For fans of the fantasy genre, you may already be a bit familiar with the premise behind many of the characters' relationship paradigms used here, but I was glad to see the author was still able to put a new twist to the situations as the book progresses. If you are a fan of fantasy books, enjoy reading about vampires, and are curious to learn about 'the Guardians' as a new supernatural race of sorts, I'd highly recommend checking out this book.

I love G.K. DeRosa’s writing so much! I binged her Hitched series, and this one will be no different! Her characters are so likable, and the story keeps me hooked. I can’t turn the pages fast enough! I can’t wait to see more of Nico and Roman and Celeste. I actually read her Magic Bound trilogy first, but it is a spin-off of this series, so I’m glad I’m coming back to the start! I love the friendships and romance.

Not bad

G.K. De Rosa has been an avid reader from a very young age. In fact, before she could even read, she tried fooling everyone into thinking that she could. At the precocious age of two, while living in Italy, she had memorized an entire children’s book in Italian and expertly turned the pages at the exact right moments of the story. As she grew up, she always enjoyed literature, no doubt having been
