"…Harrington's best by far, a story about the internal place where the currents of fear and desire lap against the shores of danger." --Michael Connelly, author of The Lincoln Lawyer

Until "The Rat Machine" came along, this was Kent Harrington's most ambitious work, and I thought it was his best too. As a Harrington fan, I was very impressed by "Red Jungle." Here we have another sexually obsessed anti-hero seemingly bent on self-destruction and moving inexorably ahead in full knowledge of what awaits. But "Red Jungle" builds on this foundation. The Guatemalan settings provide a vivid backdrop for the political/economic themes and the exciting adventure story, with the usual ...more
