The Nightcrawler returns

Book 3 in John Reinhard Dixon is as riveting and suspenseful as the first two books in the series. Sabrina Brooks, who we know to be the super vigilante crime stopper lies in a coma in hospital. The authorities still don't know the identity of the Nightcrawler but suspect Sabrina. So, who is the Nightcrawler who continues to take down members of the Russian Mafiya and other terrorist organisations? Sabrina's boyfriend Hoyt Wexford who is aware of her alter-ego is flummoxed by the appearance of this alternate Nightcrawler. His job is made more difficult when he is assigned to the Nightcrawler squad, tasked with tracking down the vigilante.
The action comes thick and fast as the various terror groups appear to join forces and threaten New York City with a potential doomsday chemical weapon.
The author as usual creates a fascinating panoply of characters, and a realistically terrifying plot which certainly kept me on the edge of my seat as the story helter-skelters towards a terrific ending which I certainly didn't see coming. A definite 5 star read.

I’ve been reading the Nightcrawler series since the first book. I adore Sabrina Brooks, an independent woman with a mission. She’s clever, tough, and intelligent. In the third segment of the series Sabrina is in the hospital, in a coma. The doctors can’t figure it out and a special top notch medical team hired by Brooks Chemical Company are brought in. Hoyt is distraught as he waits at her bedside daily, hoping it will be the day she wakes up. On the outside world the villains are plotting evil and the police are searching for the Nightcrawler. All the while a dead body keeps appearing foiling their plans.

Set in New York City with a Gotham City feel to it the story swirls full circle in a revealing, intense climax that begs the readers to pay attention. Every element is a clue and each page is as exciting as the next. Just when I thought I was starting to put the pieces together there was another clue that made me question my previous thoughts.
Dizon’s brand of mystery and intrigue is filled with political subplots and penetrating action. A huge reveal and surprise await the reader in the final pages of the last segment in the Nightcrawler series. My question - is this really the end?

For lovers of political thrillers, superheros and mystery!

Nightcrawler 111 The Plague, by John Dizon, is well written, action packed and full of suspense. While it is a sequel to his earlier Nightcrawler novels, one does not need to have read these first, though I can well recommend them as being equally thrilling and full of suspense.

I enjoy John’s novels as unlike many other novels, his novels captivate the reader from the first page and from there on one just wants to keep reading until all is revealed, and this time there is a twist. John obviously puts a lot of research into his novels showing an extensive knowledge in many areas. An Ebola epidemic, Moslem terrorists, criminal gang warfare and hard- nosed cops might have a decade or two ago been considered far- fetched, but in this day and age this novel speaks of the underbelly of 21st century society. Having a vigilante when anarchy prevails offers hope, but Sabrina —the Nightcrawler, is in a coma. Who is this dark figure who has stepped up to the role and what will become of Sabrina, and the bad guys?

I can well recommend this 5 star novel which will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.

Amazing novel of intrigue and deadly viruses that reads like it was ripped from the headlines of today's news. This is the third in this series of novels. Sabrina Brooks is in a coma in the hospital after a deadly encounter with terrorists. Her boyfriend, detective Hoyt Wexford is trying to stop an Ebola threat from being played out on the streets of New York City. The author has weaved a tale that takes readers on a thrill ride that won't want to step away from. The story is so believable it is hard to imagine it is fiction and the author did a remarkable job bringing the characters to life. John Dizon did an excellent job combining detective work with the very real threat of a man made Ebola threat, as we all think about what the possibilities are of this same kind of thing happening in real life. If you haven't picked up a John Dizon book, you are missing out on an author who knows how to weave a tale. I have read all three of the Nightcrawler novels and I highly recommend all of them. You don't have to read the first two to know the story line, but you will be glad you picked up all three because they take readers on a suspense filled ride like no other.

John Dizon has written a thrilling fast paced crime story, complete with terrorists, end-of-world plot, and a story of a crime-stopping super hero. The Plague is a the third book in a series. I asked him, yeah, really, he's available on social media, what book I should read. Although this one was a fun read, a major criteria for me, his suggestion was a good one, because I have to back and read the others. You'll want to read them too. Realistic, and if I were a terrorist, chock-full of real threats to New York City. Good thing the cops are hardnosed and good at what they do, Finding the bad guys. It's all in there and you'll zip through in no time.
The only complaint I have is that my Kindle had trouble adjusting the format, so it took a little time for me to adjust to the screen, which is why I still buy paperbacks.

Another winner for John Dizon! Having read all three books in the trilogy, I can state without reservation that the Nightcrawler trilogy is filled with non-stop action and suspense. Sabrina Brooks and Hoyt Wexford are back. Sabrina is fighting for a life in a hospital while Hoyt is trying to find the principals behind a man made Ebola virus. If this plague is let loose in New York... Like all his books, this story is well-written, crisp and succinct.
