I have adored Remy throughout the Nadia series. He was rough around the edges, but you could tell he was a good caring man at heart. Finally getting his backstory was quite revealing. No wonder he didn't make personal connections easily. Ava turned out to be very much like him, a tough loner. The two of them were obviously still in love despite six years of secrets and anger separating them though neither wanted to admit it. They teach a tenuous truce in order to discover the truth about what happened six years ago. Unfortunately, the truth may turn out to be worse than the lies they have always believed.
I loved this book and can't wait to read Ian's story. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a preview for what looks to be a new Nadia story.
