This was a nice little novella that caught us up with the couples and started to lay the way of Jarred and Leigh moving closer to becoming a couple. I can't wait until they actually do become a couple and leave their ex's behind.

This is a sort of fill-in novella between books 3 (Mastering Lexi) and 4 (Breaking the Chain). Although, as the author states (at the end of Mastering Lexi), reading this book in not particularly necessary, I found it extremely helpful in explaining a few things that remained a little up-in-air.
This novella also gives some leading glimpses into the background with Dom Andrew and his ex-submissive, Kate (known to Andrew as Kathy), and more in depth information about Dom Jared and his on-again, off-again, girlfriend/submissive, Marissa, and Angel’s best friend, Leigh and her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Michael (not to be confused with Dom Mike – hence the different names used) – it also bridges the gap in reference to how Dom Jared and Leigh’s story begins.
There are still editing issues, which normally irk me when reading, but I have come to overlook them because I am really enjoying this series and have fallen in love with all of the Doms (and Domme) of Stronghold and their respective submissives.

I enjoy every one of Golden Angel's books, her world building is very good.
This novella let's you see into the relationships built in prior books while setting up a couple of interesting and intriguing ideals of what future books might hold in store.

This was another amazing addition to the stronghold series! I loved the point of views from all of our favorite couples. The sex and romance sweep you away, and all I want to know is what happens next!

Great - as always!
The vignettes and bits and pieces of Stronghold are fun reads and take you right back into the stories.
If you haven't read the fantastically written and VERY hot series yet, I suggest you get yourself to the Buy section - you will NOT be disappointed!

I love this series and Golden Angel’s fabulous writing style the this world she created as well as the characters in it. I also love the dynamics amongst the characters, who all belong to the same BDSM club. In “Pieces of Stronghold” we learn more about the characters and their relationships. Kate, Andrew’s ex is back in town, we see a beginning to the start of Jared & Leigh’s but then Marissa comes back in the picture, like Jared says she is like herpes. LOL! Also love Olivia’s nicknames for her. I laughed out loud during the dance scene, with Patrick & Jared. There is also a great scene with Jessica and her men. This great novella contains a lot of story, it is entertaining and enjoyable a must read for fans of the Stronghold Dom series. If you haven’t started the series yet, what are you waiting for the first book “The Sassy Submissive” kindle copy is free. Golden Angel, thank you for another great story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Rose Lane is a terrific narrator and voice performer. She brings the characters to life, gives the heart and personality. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen!

Golden Angel is top of the genre for BDSM erotica. Her characters are regular people, not all billionaires, and they include a mix of experienced and inexperienced folks. They're not all broken trauma victims and they're not all doormats. Hooray for sex-positive writing and realistic characters with a range of likes and dislikes, steamy scenes but actual story as well, and a coherent world for them to inhabit.
I'm enjoying this series of interconnected characters. At least so far, the series has resisted being completely formulaic and has allowed the characters to develop over time even when they are the side characters to a story.
This collection is a little disjointed--it's basically a chapter or two about several of the different couples that have been introduced in the first three books of the series. I wouldn't have bought this one separately, but the audio is bundled with Books 4 and 5 over at audible, which made it seem worth it). Now that scribd is no longer worthwhile, I'm having to rack down my romance fix at audible, so the availability of a few box sets like this has been great.
I don't love the female narrator that was picked for this set. She seemed to stumble a few times trying to figure out how to portray these characters. I hope she improves across the next couple of books.

Worthwhile Read
If you're reading the Stronghold Dom series, this novella is a really good interlude. It further defines and describes many of the characters in the series, introduces Kate (aka Kathy) Andrew's ex-girlfriend, and is a very helpful lead in to the next book in the series, Breaking the Chains, Jared and Leigh's story.
The only reason for the 4 stars (instead of 5) was that there were too many points in the story when I needed to look back (whether a page or so or up to several paragraphs) to figure out either which character was talking or what question or action they were responding to. I find those kinds of interruptions irritating as they take away from the flow of an otherwise good story.

A must read for series fans
Exactly what the title sounds like: small glimpses into various couples of Stronghold (current, ex and future) with a large part focusing on Jared and Leigh. While I think newbies to the series could enjoy this as a standalone—I could see it making a good intro to the series and this author’s writing style—you’ll get the most enjoyment if you’ve read the earlier books. And you should plan on reading Breaking the Chain.
As usual with this author, there were great characters plus plenty of heat and humor (I was gasping for breath I was laughing so hard at part of the New Year’s Eve party!). And that ending had me rejoicing that I already had Breaking the Chain so I could continue immediately with Jared and Leigh’s story. 5 stars

Tying up a few loose ends
his is a second novella in the Stronghold series. It’s ties up, haha did you catch that pun, some loose ends and introduces the next book in the series. I can’t recommend this series enough! The characters and their dynamics will entice you to read more about them! Golden Angel writes stories that are more than just erotic sex scenes. She crafts her scenes so that you feel like you are drawn in. This might be a novella but there is a lot of story packed in here! It has a lot of emotional highs and lows. Of course, the BDSM scenes are scorching hot! I recommend this series!

This book can also be found in "Nights At Stronghold" box set. Golden Angel has given us exactly what the title of this novella implies, pieces of stronghold. The majority of the story is the building friendship between Jared and Leigh. We're privy to see our circle of friends show their personalities, loyalty, emotions in ways that titillate and surprise. This story just flows like you're part of whatever is going on with personal friends. All the emotional angst and drama is there as well. No friend is left out of the gossip mill of Stronghold and no reader is left untouched.

I loved the full range of POVs throughout this. Revisiting with some old friends, remembering how much I love this series. It's been a while since I last picked up a Stronghold book (bad, bad reader) and it was so nice to just sit down and fall back into a world that feels so much like home.
The author's descriptions make it easy to envision Stronghold, which is something I love about her writing. And as ever, I adore Mistress Olivia, because she is just fabulous.
Definitely one to read as there is sex, drama, love, and that sense of family that sucks you into the heart of the book.

Unbelievably hot and funny!
Starting with The Venus School (Venus Rising Boxset) and continuing with all the Stronghold books you’ll get to meet all the Stronghold friends and their separate love stories. They are all delightful, romantic, terribly funny and hot, hot, hot! A thorough insight to the different aspects of the BDSM lifestyle, based on trust and caring for each other. I just had to read them all, one after the other, couldn’t put them down and had a super wonderful time doing it. I can’t tell you which one I prefer, so I put this review out on all of them.

Mostly focused on Jared and Leigh, this story also rings together other story threads from earlier Stronghold stories. I've read all of the earlier ones, plus the Venus School stories, so found this easy to follow, but I don't think it would be hard to enjoy as a standalone.
As usual, Golden Angel explores the BDSM community, but the substance of this book is pretty much vanilla, but no less enjoyable for that. Leigh is uncertain how far her interest in the community goes, but she is certain that she really, really likes Jared.

I was afraid this 'inbetween' book was going to be like On His Knees and not hold my attention but I was wrong. This book gave some tidbits of what was going on in each couples life. It was a fun and short read.

Reading this in order would be a good idea. I didnt do this and started at book 3 but I am still able to enjoy them so far. I will have to back track to the others when I get to the last one. I love being able to read about all these friends and how their relationships turn out. Each book has its own couples stories but we get to see some of the other characters show up in them. I cant wait to keep reading.

Prelude and return visits
This was a good mix of visits from previous story characters and a prelude for Leigh and Jared. They're the focus of the next book. This also had a prelude for Kate and Andrew who are probably in the book after that. It had heat in established relationships, and simmering attraction between Leigh and Jared. That are both trying to break away from bad exes. It's a good set up for their story.

Surprisingly really good
Short but sweet and surprisingly very good. It was really nice to catch up with all the characters. I don’t normally read novella’s like this in a series but when I started to read Book 4 I felt like I had missed a lot, so I went back and read this. I’m really glad I did because it explained a lot, especially the re-appearance of Kate/Kathy. Definitely a must read for people who likes this series!

The best so far
I really liked this book, it's the best from this author that I've read so far. It's a sort of interlude in the Stronghold series. We get updates on characters we've already met, introductions to a couple of new ones and a glimpse into future possibilities, and best of all, no glaring proofreading errors.

Stronghold Doms series Novella. This is a great addition to the series. It has many POV with the characters from the previous books. It sets up the friendship between Leigh and Jared, who are both newly out of long term relationships. I really enjoyed reading it! Leigh and Jared are both so sweet, I can not wait to read the rest of their story.

This is a great little novella. It catches the reader up on the three previous couples, introduces Kate (Andrew's ex girlfriend) and it sets up the possible combinations of Mike and Ellie and Jake and Sharon. However its main purpose is to set the background for Leigh and Jared, two people emerging from long relationships who are starting to form a friendship of their own. I really enjoyed this quick read, plenty of kinky sex and a lot of questions raised for future books.
Loving this series by Golden Angel, her writing really draws you and wants to keep you reading.

This book gave me a point of view I’ve hoped for in the other books. There’s usually something mentioned in the previous stronghold books about one Dom whisking away their sub for a spanking or something similar and I’ve always wanted a peek into those scenes! This book is just that! Plus, Jared and Leigh? What’s not to love?! Can’t wait to read the next one.

I enjoyed the multiple story arcs. It was a fun twist to bounce between multiple stories. It kept you wanting more each time it switched. This was a great insight into some past relationships and what made the quirks and fears in some of the stronghold characters. Plenty of sexy fun but also a lot of relationship intrigue.

I love how this one is told from a few different couples perspective. It gives you more insight into a few of the people that haven't had their stories told yet. It's also sweet, steamy and kinda frustrating (in a good way)!

This book gives a shows all the different couples while the focus is on the not quite there but almost relationship between Jared and Leigh.
I loved reading a bit about every couple and their own and unique lifestyle. It showed the many aspects and how different each couple deals with it.

I love books like Pieces of Stronghold. In a series like Stronghold Doms, it is nice to catch up or know what is going on with the couples from previous books. Plus you can't go wrong with the price of .99. Enjoy!

And not for the kinky sex but she's so good with characters that you just want to see how it's going to go and these are contemporary which is not my favorite but I'm willing to read this series very much

This book is all little short stories of everyone in Stronghold. It’s hot and sweet and made me even laugh at loud. If you love the Stronghold series you have to read this to finish it all up and see everyone’s point of view on there life! 5/5

I wish there were more of these little bridging novellas. All the little background relationships and actions are brought forward between books. Loved reading about Kate stepping in for Leigh and Jared and Patrick’s mad dance skills.💜
