Atlantis Quest is book two of the Atlantis Rising series by Gloria Craw and I’m glad I came across these books. This book picks up shortly after book one wrapped up and quickly pulled me back into Alison’s story again. I admit, I had to go back to book one to refresh my memory of what had happened in the first book but once I did that and then dove into this book, everything started coming back to me.

Now that Alison knows a bit about who she is and where she comes from, she is more open

I wasn't reading much after I initially started Atlantis Quest, and I couldn't remember what happened, for sure, in the first and second chapters, so on Sunday, I started again from the beginning and read it straight through over the course of the day with breaks in between.

Atlantis Quest brings quite a few new characters, many of which I loved. Theron, in particular, was amazing. He understands Alison in a way that the other dewing she met in book 1 don't. He's über talented and even though I

*Thoughts* Atlantis Quest, by Gloria Craw, is the second installment in the Atlantis Rising series. Until recently, 18-year old Alison McKaye, aka Jillian Laurel, could honestly say that she never so much as thought about killing another person. Hidden away for most of her life in the human world, a

I didn't read book 1 and I was given this book by Netgalley in return for an honest review.

I loved this book, it was so easy to read, I read it in one sitting. The story flowed nicely and I was able to determine what happened in the first book by references made in this book. The first book sounds really good too.

This book is fast paced, with action, intensity and hormones. what isn't there to like!

“Atlantis Quest” is a great continuation of an exciting YA paranormal series. Alison has vanquished Sebastian, and her life is returning to normal- or as close as she can get. However, the dewing have more to ask of her. Nikki, her teenage/high school enemy from the first book (who turned her over to the evil Sebastian), is missing. Thanks to being raised by humans, Alison’s thought patterns render her invisible to the other dewing- to them, she is just like any other human. However, as a though ...more

Note: This ARC was provided by Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

Alison went through her fair share of training in the first book and continues trying to hone her fighting skills and her otherworldly abilities in this sequel. She'll need them since she's basically left to her own devices for most of the time here, no thanks to Ian's parents, who I feel were using Alison more than they were admitting to. My opinion of them s

My Thoughts:

The story of Atlantis has always fascinated me. When I read Atlantis Quest, I was thrust in to a new and fascinating world where the "Dewing" existed, or the children of Atlantis. I have traveled this dangerous journey full of suspense, the unveiling of mysterious information, romance, and new responsibilities, right alongside the main character, Alison.

In Atlantis Quest, the sequel picks right up where Atlantis Rising left off. Make sure you read this series in sequential order. I

Once again I am impressed with Gloria Craw! We continue to follow Alison in her quest to learn more about being a dewing yet trying to get the most of her time left with her family before she has to leave so they won’t discover her secret once she stops aging.

We get to continue loving Ian and, for me at least, hoping for a soul match pairing. Unfortunately, Alison is so negative about her ability to find a match that she may let a good thing get away.
Theron, Alison’s cousin, makes his first ap

This is the second book in the Atlantis Rising series by Gloria Crew. In this one we get more of Alison and Ian.

Alison's life is trying to go back to normal, or as close to normal as it can get after vanquishing Sebastian. But before she gets too settled back in, the dewing have another favor to ask of her.

It seems that Nikki, her high school enemy has all the sudden gone missing. With Alison having been raised by humans, her thought pattern renders her invisible to the other dewing. Alison is

This story has some of the best characters that I have read in a long time. Each character is so well developed and described that I feel as though I am in the book with them or can see them.

This is the second story in the Atlantis Rising storyline. I enjoyed the first story, but I loved this story even more. I think it is because I now had a better understanding of the dewing and I love the introduction of Phoebe and Theron. I also love that we see the ghost Mom as more than an abstract or voi

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read and review Atlantis Quest by Gloria Craw! Alison has now learned about her heritage from her biological mother and also about her abilities and now she's expected to rescue her enemy from a kidnapping. She travels to a ski resort and spies on the Truss family to find Nikki and any news about her kidnapping. Alison meets and stays with a distant relative, Theron. He tells ...more

Read this one right after reading Atlantis Rising. Once again Alison is needed to save the clans. This time on her own pretty much. Spencer and Katherine had a different feel in this book than the first. You didn't like them very well in this one. Ian is not around as often as in the first, Theron is the main male in this one although not romantically. I liked his backstory and hope to see more of him. For still being a beginner with her joining power she was left on her own quite often and arou ...more

Atlantis Quest is the second book in the Atlantis Rising book series. I found that this book quickly picks up from where the first book left off. I did not have to go back and reread the first book because this book pulls you right back into the story. This book series is a little different than most series I have read recently and I found that to be refreshing. I recommend this book if you are looking for a series that will pull you in and having you trying to figure out what happens next in th ...more

This series is magical, we have amazing characters like Allison, Ian, Lillian, Theron, Luke and Phoebe. When Alison becomes the clan chief she makes decisions that change her life. In each book you find a changing event. Alison and Ian have a sweet romance, but would've loved it more if there was more into them. It is a series that could continue with all secondary characters, and hope it does.

Narrated by Alison, Craw continues her series.
The story could be improved with adding more of a science fiction edge, like
referencing: Eugenics or Nietzsche for example.

I had started reading this book a few weeks ago but I had to put it down because I needed to read the first so that I knew what had happened and why. Sometimes authors will summarize what has happened in the series. This is something I find very helpful also because it can take an average of 12 months for the next book in a series to be released and I’ve usually have read 100’s of book since it’s sometimes hard to remember all the details and I sometimes find that I have to speed read an earlier ...more

The same unique story, with more humor and one hell of an ending.

Atlantis Rising definitely left me wanting to know what would happen next, and I felt a connection with Alison weeks after I reached the end. When the opportunity to read and review the sequel came along, I jumped on it, and I'm glad for the chance to continue experiencing this story.

Alison grew so much in this book, even more than she did in the first. Not only has she embraced being outside her protective bubble, she's learned mo

So with this book I am seeing Allison more as a heroine. She is stronger, less waffly and more decisive. She does try to hurt my Ian but he doesn’t let her miss negativity guss deter him. You go boo..Our characters pick up where one left off. There is some peace in allison and Ian’s world for a little bit. They settle into school and family and Allison learns more to fight and about herself and who she is. Ian is there for her as always and he is just as sweet and charming.

Suddenly the world is

If I thought the first one to this was exceptional then I really did not know nothing yet. I have now gone into reading youth every so often especially when the story line intrigues me. We pick up where Atlantis Rising ended, a few weeks after the dust up with batshit crazy Sebastian. As far as the clans know, he’s dead. A new clan leader must be appointed. The problem is that no one knows anything about the candidates. Also, Nikki, enemy of Alison, is missing. Ian’s parents want Alison to use her gift of thoughtmaking to find her.

And that, my friends, is where everything gets interesting! Alison has to assume a fake identity and befriend Phoebe, the enemy’s daughter, find out

I really enjoyed Atlantis Rising and gave it four stars. I was looking forward to catching up with Alison, Ian and co, and seeing where Gloria Craw would take her characters this time. Not only do we meet up with old favourites, but we are introduced to new ones too. As well as going on an adventure, with excitement and suspense woven in, but we also see Allison grow into herself, as she both finds out and gets told about who she is.

Two characters I loved, that I'm sure will be reader favourite

Received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

ATLANTIS QUEST by Gloria Craw is an excellent follow-up to ATLANTIS RISING. The story picks up shortly after the events of book one and quickly draws the reader back into Alison’s world again. We’re given more backstory about the politics of the Dewing clans, as well as more about Ali’s family. There’s a new threat in town and Ali is asked to step up to the plate to help save someone who betrayed her, as well as her entire race.

I grew up in the desert southwest, inspired everyday by the wide skies and rich colors around me. I attended the University of Utah where I got a degree in anthropology. These days, I live in the burbs just outside of Seattle, Washington. I'm married and have four daughters. When I'm not running them to volleyball or swimming, I'm reading, writing or fangirling over some TV show.
