The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain – grabe, sobrang na-enjoy ko talaga 'tong classic na 'to!
Na-realize ko, it's not just about him being naughty—kundi about finding who you are and what really matters in life.
Pero what really struck me sa book is how Mark Twain captured yung tension between innocence at maturity. Si Tom, minsan parang clueless sa mga consequence ng actions niya, pero as the story progresses, nakita ko rin yung growth niya—parang tayo rin, di ba? From carefree days to facing the real world, parang tinuturuan tayo ng libro na part ng life ang mistakes at learnings. Napaisip din ako about society’s expectations. Pansin niyo ba, parang si Tom, meron siyang innate desire to rebel, pero hindi siya masama, gusto lang niyang hanapin yung sarili niya beyond the rules na pinipilit ng mundo sa kanya.
At yung friendship ni Tom at Huck, grabe! It's a reminder na kahit sa pinaka-wild na adventures, having a true friend by your side makes everything bearable.
All in all, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is more than just a fun read—it’s about freedom, childhood, at yung journey ng bawat isa sa atin papunta sa pagkilala sa sarili.
