The book gives a comprehensive overview of the key issues being faced by the television industry. While being data driven and analytical at the one end, Nalin does not miss the wood for the trees. Comes out with constructive suggestions on way forward. It came as surprise to me that the current Indian television industry has parallels to the American one, but only that of one hundred years back. Lots of rarely known anecdotes. A tough one to sit through but Certainly the finest book on Indian media. Although a few more insights on the last chapter "future is mobile" will be more helpful. But certainly a good read for those interested in Indian television, it's cultural impact and Indian governance when it comes to media.
