Allow me to start this review by gushing over the cover. The Qui treaty novellas have really hit the mark on all counts as far as I am concerned. With two notable exceptions:

1.They’re only available as Kindle editions and the ancient reptilian/Gollum part of my brain demands that I acquire a physical copy to pet lovingly and whisper creepy “it’s miiine” to on a regular basis. (Time to come clean: I'm a proud member of Book Hoarders Anonymous.)

2. The covers haven’t really been all that great or
Finally rescued from captivity and freed from the brutality handed down from the K'lahn, Zeus Windsor is suffering from a major case of PTSD. Traumatized from his time with the enemy, Zeus can't function. Untrusting of anything not human, his road to recovery -- if there is such a thing for Zeus -- is going to be almost as much torture as he received from the K'lahn. Fortunately for him, his new master is much more understanding of his predicament.

In order for Zeus to regain any sort of normalcy

I received a free advance review copy from Kayla in exchange for your honest review.

Is it just me or was this 1 slightly darker?? Don't get me wrong each installment in the series has slight dark aspects, but I found 'Submit to Treaty' darker. There is a warning at the very begining of the book, so please read before you enter.

Even with the added darkness I was entranced with Zues' story getting back from the darkness caused by his torturers. How Meseri unkowingly knows how to bring him back fr

Meseri is just amazingly stunning, fierce and completely duty/honor bound to her Qui Empress. The Commander takes her orders and carries them out 10-fold. The regard in which she deals with what task is at had is utter professional and precise. I am in awe of the way she carries herself and in her command.

Zeus is not a god, like his name-sake suggests, but a very broken and damaged soldier who HATES the lizards, ANY LIZARDS! After torture, punishment, pain, loss, humiliation, extreme degradatio

I find myself totally absorbed into these books and wanting more and more to keep participating in the lives of the people involved. The characters continue to keep my interest because they have such emotional depth to them which brings out their personalities. I love the fact that while you know the human and the alien will submit to the other in one way or another it is never an easy transition, giving us a look at how individuals find their way to understanding each other. The language contin ...more

OMG!!! This is a must read. The cover really captures your imagination and as I read the fist word, I was hooked. Zeus is such an intriguing character. So strong, so alpha, so very male, but as you read on, the pain and desperation this man has felt is heartbreaking. He is such a lost and damaged soul. Zeus is weakened by the trauma he endured, but yet at the same time, that trauma makes him an elite solider. When he is unable to run away from his desperation, he is unable to face his past. He h ...more

Wow, well she has done it again. Another fantastic story in the Qui universe. Zeus is trapped in his mind, he's been tortured and his mind is confused and trapped. In a way he's suffering from severe PTSD. His rescue by Meseri throws him back into his past as he's rescued whilst on the run from the K'lahn.
Although he's on board with one of his old teammates, his hatred runs deep and because of things he experienced he's constantly battling

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Submit by Treaty is the fourth book in the series and really starts to flesh out the behind the scenes plot that has been hinted at in the other 3 books. Zeus our hero is captured by Meseri and her K'lahn troops. He has been tortured and cannot remember what happened. Meseri helps him by subjecting him to a safe and much more relaxed form of the torture that he received. It really bothers her to subject him to this and she wou ...more

What an excellent book. This is a paranormal about aliens and earth forming a treaty. Humans are rescued by the Qui and are being sent back to earth. Several of them fall in love with the aliens that saved them. Zeuss has been tortured and believes his team is all dead. Can he trust the Qui and make it back to earth alive. This is an excellent series and I recommend it to be read in order

I received an ARC for an honest review.

This episode was mind blowing. The strong characters interactions with each other are intense, sometimes sad, and the struggles they go through to work out what has been done to them or the ones they care about are amazing.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

As I’ve mentioned before, this is not a series I would have normally picked up for myself; only through a reading review event did I get the opportunity to review a book of hers and I have been a fan ever since.

She is the only author within this genre that I enjoy. I attempted another author of this same genre and all I can say is after starting it and pushing myself to read further, I finally had to put the book down and walk away, shaking

I really like this series. I love all the characters human and Qui. Jaden's situation still bothers me. I really like him. Sonil and Jaden are in a difficult situation though. The other relationships are more balanced it seems. What happens to Jaden was not cool. The Qui is not winning any points with the already traumatized humans. The way the Qui treats Jaden is causing instability in the Qui & human relationships. I hope the Qui realizes that their human lovers make them stronger. The stories ...more
