There come times in a reader's life, when a certain type of story just becomes a little too old and used. Not hated, certainly not, but missing something to turn that spark to fire, you know?

And with this book, such a fact couldn't be more true.

See, this is a story based on revenge. Brody Flynn wants Kate Douglass's father to pay for what happened to his parents. So he takes over the Douglass family company, with the intent to sell it out and completely destroy it. Fate, though, brings Kate as a

So so good! An awesome revenge story that kept me turning page after page. Wonderfully written and the characters of Brody and Kate work beautifully together. It's a quick light read that I highly recommend to everyone.
Excellent story that really captivated me in emotionally. Jackie Braun did a fabulous job of drawing me in to the plight of both Brody and Kate. I was completely invested in their love and their healing. REVENGE BEST SERVED HOT was my first book by Ms. Braun. It won't be my last. 4.5 stars
I read this novel as part of the Men of the Zodiac box set but I will be trying to review each novel individually.

The premise of the series is that each man has, for one reason or another, got a tattoo from a mysterious tattoo artist of his astrological sign. No matter that most men don't know their star sign and would probably struggle to know what image represents their sign even if they did! At least this novel addressed the point head on with Kate flat out saying she didn't think Brody was t

Revenge Best Served- is it really is something that its cracked up to be, that is the question that Brody Flynn has waited years to find out. He has waited years to serve up his brand of revenge against Douglass Shipping for their role they played in his parents’ deaths. Now the time has come to take action. The company, Douglass shipping is in trouble and Brody takes the company over in an aggressive fashion. This is part of

Who doesn't love a story about revenge? Seriously, they are usually entertaining in so many ways, because you have so many layers that go into a revenge plot. Revenge Best Served Hot is no different. So, we get a chance to meet Brody Flynn and Kate Douglass. Brody has a vendetta out for Kate's father. Now Kate all she wants to do is work and hopefully get the company back into the family name again. Sounds so simple. However, nothing is ever simple when trying to go for

Brody Flynn waited years to get his revenge on Douglass Shipping for his parents' accidental deaths. He’s ready to tear it all down, but then he meets Kate Douglass and all his plans gets derailed. Yep, then romance happens.

The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between

The Good : I’d read an earlier entry in the series and it didn’t work for me, so I was a bit trepidatious about reading this one. I was pleasantly surprised. There was excellent chemistry and dialogue between Brody and Kate. I liked
I received a copy of this story through NetGalley from Entangled Publishing (thank you!) for an honest review. I've read one other book in this series and both share the theme of revenge. From what I can tell (and know from this book and the other), they are standalone stories and written by different authors. This particular story was really great and told in alternating points of view. I read it one sitting as found myself anxiously turning each page to discover the story behind Brody's family ...more

I loved this book, so much! Kate is probably one of my most favorite female lead characters. She is smart, independent, attractive, determined, strong, honest to a fault, but down to earth normal. She cut to the chase and didn't let Brody get one up on her. Brody was an interesting character. He was a strong silent type with revenge as his vulnerability. Their double meaning flirtations brought smiles to my face as I read. They were incredibly cute together, as well as hot. They were a refreshin ...more

Brody has waited years to seek revenge on the shipping company for the negligence of his parent's death. Taking over the shipping company is part of the plan, but he did not except Kate, the daughter of the former CEO, to be an obstacle in the revenge.

Loved the chemistry between these two strong willed people. They both stood their ground. Both with painful pasts and the need to learn to trust again.

This book will keep you turning the pages until the end, and then wishing for more. " Revenge

Revenge Best Served Hot was a very good read, I was drawn in from the first page and it held my interest until the end.

A great read with likable and entertaining characters.
Loved seeing Brody fall in love with Kate, she was honest and hardworking and nothing like he had imagined she was. They were perfect for each other.

I highly recommend this sweet and romantic read.

Thank you Entangled Indulgence via NetGalley for the advance copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

I really like this story line. I like that Kate's father changed his ways enough to do what was best for his daughter in the end. I also like the fact that even though he got the revenge he wanted for his parents death Brody didn't feel the satisfaction he thought he would. The fact that he was going to use the money from selling the company to build a trauma center is fantastic.

In a position now to destroy it, his hostile takeover goes off without a hitch except one - the daughter of the owner. This was a really easy, quick read. I liked the story. Kate is an executive at her Father's shipping company who is basically ignored and patronized while her Father is at the helm of the company. Brody is a corporate executive who acquires Kate's family business in a hostile takeover. Kate sees the takeover as her opportunity to prove herself as a business woman since her Father is no longer running the show. Brody thinks keeping Kate close is a good idea in case her Father has any plans of rea ...more

It always excites me to read a new-to-me author. You’ll never really know what to expect. I started the book thinking of a very typical rich-guy falls inlove with a girl (heiress) story. But Jackie Braun surprised me with Revenge Best Served Hot .

Strong females leads are something I enjoy in a book, and I love Kate Douglass. Victim of the daughter of the owner stereotype, she does everything to prove her worth. Kate is loyal and selfless and is concerned with keeping the company intact, and mayb

When Brodie Flynn was a young boy, the reckless truck driving policies of the Douglass Shipping company caused the deaths of both of Brodie’s parents. He has spent years planning his covert revenge and it has finally come to fruition – a hostile takeover of the majority of Douglas Shipping shares and the systematic dismantling of all its assets. What Brodie didn’t count on was the wicked business acumen of Katie Douglas, daughter to the former CEO. Despite her stellar background in business, Kat ...more

Revenge Best Served Hot

This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review by Net Galley.

Brody Flynn lost his parents years ago and he feels the man that he thinks is responsible for their accidental deaths has never admitted his involvement. It has taken years but he will have his revenge. He manages to stage a take over of his failing company. All does not go according to plans. The CEO's daughter Kate comes to him afterwards and begs for a job. This poses an interesting dilemna for h

Oh my goodness I loved this book from beginning to end. Brody wants nothing more than revenge on Douglas Shipping. His parents were killed by a semi driver that fell asleep due to the policies of the company. Even though he took the settlement, he was young and had to raise his two younger sisters, he lives for nothing more than to take everything away from Jonathan Douglas. Maybe then he will be able to move on with his life.

But, he did not count on Kate Douglas, Jonathan's daughter. He thought

First Impression: Superb writing. The character of Brody Flynn is sexy intense.

This was such a fantastic read! Brody Flynn is every bit a man in control of his wants, and yet, he finds himself more than a little intrigued by the contradictions in Kate Douglass. In his quest for revenge against her father, he never stopped to consider she was anything but his enemy's daughter, but there's more to her than that, and despite his f

Betrayal, anger and revenge take center stage in this high octane, emotion fueled story. Here’s another entertaining story from the Men Of Zodiac series by Jackie Braun. There are no bells and whistles in “Revenge Best Served Hot”, but we get tons of emotions, courage, grit and the complicated relationships we live with.

Brody Flynn is finally wetting out the revenge on the company that was responsible for the death of his parents with a hostile take over and he has big dreams once he sells off the company in pieces. But his dreams never saw Kate Douglass and he’s thrown out for a l

I have been reading The Men of Zodiac series since the first book, even though I didn’t realize it was a series. Some I have enjoyed more than others, but Revenge Best Served Hot was a very nice read.

This book was like a nice breathe of fresh air. I have been in a book slump for quite a while and this book took care of that for me.

The one thing that really stood out to me throughout the book was

Oh, I loved this one.

Kate and Brody were great characters, and even better when they were together.

Kate was constantly underestimated by everyone she worked with, and even her father constantly treated her like she was a child. I hated that guy and his stupid views. Kate was smart, funny and incredibly brilliant at what she did, if her father ever gave her a chance. Which is why the first reason I loved Brody was the moment he gave her a chance at the company.

Brody was so set in getting revenge

Brody Flynn has worked hard most of his adult life to finally see this moment. Douglass Shipping handing over reins to him in a hostile takeover. He is finally going to get his revenge.

What did I think? 4 Stars

Would I recommend it?
Yes, I would recommend this book, once I sat down and started reading I didn't want to put it down. I really enjoyed the characters backgrounds and I think that the characters were well developed, however, their romance needed more work.

I do feel like the pace should have been set a little faster, and the chemistry between the two main characters didn't impress me. There we

This is the sixth book in the Men of the Zodiac Series and it lives up to the heat level of the five previous novels.

Brody Flynn thought his taste for revenge would be satisfied as he launches a hostile take over of Douglass Shipping, the company he believes is responsible for the death of his parents. Kate Douglass just wants a chance to use her degree for more than just fetching coffee. After a passionate plea from Kate, Brody gives her a chance to prove she's not in Daddy's pocket. A chance h
