When 21 shots from a semi-automatic pistol rang out across the picturesque Alpine woodland high above Lake Annecy, there was nobody nearby to raise the alarm.

In a car, in a secluded lay-by off a quiet single-lane track, were the bloodied bodies of British computer engineer, Saad al-Hilli, his wife, Iqbal, and her mother, Suhaila. Nearby lay the corpse of French cyclist, S

I'm completely besotted with true crime, so cases that I have never heard of are usually of great interest and excitement to me. This was not to be however. The writing and the presentation of this book however was something else. For one thing, I have never seen so many spelling mistakes, grammer mistakes or general problems with the ...more

As a fan of true crime I decided to give this a go not knowing much about the case other than what was portrayed in the media back in 2012.

Very journalistic in style and an easy read given the subject matter. I also thought it was brave of the author to come up with his own conclusion to this still unsolved mass murder.

This book was a bore. Only a handful of times I've wanted to give up reading a book, and for a while, I was certain I was going to do the same with this one, but due to the number of days I spent reading it, I was dedicated. I did not enjoy it at all. Sure the start of it was good, but by the tenth chapter I was crawling, begging for the pages to turn faster than they were. It was truly a nightmare, something I did not onc

Good Read

Well-written journalist approach. Kept me up for two evenings wth a wide background to all scenarios and theories - perplexing and enigmatic.
