First read this as a teenager and wanted to see if it was as good as I remembered. It wasn't quite, but still a fun nostalgia read. Bit like a British Goosebumps story but in the style of Alan Garner. The ending wasn't as scary as I remembered, but some pretty spooky sequences early on. Would probably make a good animated movie.
