Because I saw complaints in a couple other reviews, I'm editing to preface this with, not a romance anthology. Some of the stories are romantic, but by no means all of them. Don't pick this up expecting a fluffy dose of hearts and happily-ever-afters.

"Corruption" by Kim Fielding is the story that brought this collection to my attention -- Fielding is, I believe, the only author in here whom I've read previously, and that was a contemporary non-fantasy, very different in tone. This was a rather d

CORRUPTION by Kim Fielding 4.5 stars - A wonderful start to this anthology! I am in no way a writer, so when I read stories by people like Kim Fielding I am truly awed at how she can create such a vivid world, such depth of character, and such complex emotions, in a short story no less!

PURGATORY by M.C. Rayne Not Rated - This wasn't bad, and I did finish it (although skimmed through most of the middle), but I didn't want to rate it because I think the problem is with me more than with the story.

Of Heaven and Hell is my favourite anthology from Wayward Ink Publishing so far. Angels and Demons is a great theme and it's interesting to see how all the authors interpreted it differently.
All the stories were enjoyable, but my faves included: Corruption, Purgatory Pink, and A Wolf in the Fold

Disclaimer: My own story is featured in this anthology (writing as Asta Idonea)

4* and 5* Stories

A superb collection of relatively long short stories featuring either a demon or an angel, and in some cases both. As with all anthologies there is a mix of authors and writing styles. Several are beautifully written, but each story was a pleasure to read. All the tales feature a romance-based plot and each ends happily in my opinion. Some are humorous and made me chuckle, some have a heartbreaking storyline and brought tears to my eyes. I loved how each author built up the worl

Reviewed for The Novel Approach.

It’s very rare for me to like every single story in an anthology, but that has happened in Of Heaven and Hell. I was a bit wary, to be honest, going into it because Wayward Ink is a fairly new-to-me press, and anthologies are so difficult, even with presses I’m familiar with. But, the premise behind it intrigued me. I’m so glad I gave it a chance because every story is unique and offers a different perspective on the themes of Heaven and Hell.

Part of me wants to

This was a very pleasant anthology, containing 11 different stories all of them revolving around demons and angels, with couple of very successful interpretations on the topic. There were hot/sad/funny stories – at least one for every taste. I'd give an overall rating of 3.5.

My personal favorite with 5 stars is CORRUPTION by Kim Fielding. The story was dark and really hot, with all emotions well conveyed and truly making an impact on the reader.

With a rating of 4.5 follows DRAWING DEAD by S.Zan

Original Review at https://eddylefey.wordpress.com/2015/...

The original includes a review of each story (except Guardian by Eddy LeFey)

Overall rating 4.5 stars

Included in this wonderful anthology are stories that will make you laugh, make you cry, even make you think. All are well written, some extremely so. There are a handful of grammar/spelling/typo mistakes, but nothing that would really take the reader out of the stories.

Some of the stories deal with power/sexual situations that I was a lit

Kim Fielding lives in California and travels as often as she can manage. A professor by day, at night she rushes into a phone booth to change into her author costume (which involves comfy clothes instead of Spandex and is, sadly, lacking a cape). Her superpowers include the ability to write nearly anywhere, often while simultaneously doling out assistance to her family. Her favorite word to descri ...more
