I was drawn to this book through the title "Five Go Glamping" and thought it might have been similar to Bruno Vincent's adult Enid Blyton stories. In a way, the book did pay homage to Enid Blyton with having the Four friends and their dog. We have the four friends - Fiona, Steph, Sinead and Kirk and their dog Brian Harvey. This part made me giggle as my partner's name is Bryan Harvey. So whenever I saw the dog's name mentioned, it made me connect more with the story. Fiona has found herself in a ...more

From the cover of this book i wasnt too sure what to expect. I liked the cover but on the other hand I thought i was about to read a story about Glastonbury rock festivals, and wasnt too sure it would be my cup of tea. But i was pleasently surprised and thoroughly enjoyed this debut from Liz Tipping.
Meet Fiona Delaney, who has a 5 year plan and sticks to her routine day in and day out. Fiona has been in the same job for 15 years and has been saving every penny she earns to get a house with her b

I received an ARC of this book through NetGalley and Carina UK. Thank you!

I have mentioned before that when I read a chick lit, I don't expect it to be a masterpiece, but the writing in this book really bothered me. The plot was just ok...and the constant "she took this photo to put it on Instagram" and "she updated her status on Facebook to really happy" felt unnecessary and forced. I know what the author was trying to say (we're too in tune with our digital lives to focus on what's happening a

I received this book as an ARC through Carina UK. Via NetGalley and in return will give a honest review.
This was a cute summer read. I love all the characters in the book. The author made sure you felt all their personalities. I see where this book was trying to go, but it just felt lacking. Some things felt out of place for me. I do love the ending of this book!! And well I adore Brian Harvey <3

Five Go Glamping is Liz Tipping’s debut novel and if this is just the start of Liz’s writing career then I am extremely excited for more! Fun-filled, witty and uplifting, Five Go Glamping is a quick read but a memorable one. It features a great combination of friendship, romance and adventure and the story builds up vividly to the extent I felt like I was there myself, watching the madness unfold.

Fiona is your typical ‘chick-lit’ heroine –

I feel I should start explaining why I wanted to read this book. The blurb looked interesting, like a lighthearted chick-lit with a slightly different slant with the glamping angle, and this book already had a bunch of 5-star reviews from other ARC reviewers when it came to my attention. I feel I should say that I don’t sign up to review, especially for blog tours, unless I think I will like a book. It wouldn’t be fair on anyone if I took on

What a fun read this was!! From the funky cover to the weird and wonderful world of festivals and glamping, this kept me smiling from start to finish!

Fiona is the kind of girl who has every moment of every minute planned so when she's forced to deviate from her 5 year plan after hiccups in her work and personal life, it feels very alien to her but with the promise of a free weekend glamping with her friends in Dorset s

This is the first book I have read for ages that made me laugh out loud. It held my attention from the very first page and I became quickly invested in Fiona and her quest to live her life to her five year plan, which includes working most Saturdays at her dead end job so that she can buy a place with her boyfriend Connor. When she goes glamping in a yurt with her three friends, Sinead, Steph and Kirk (and Kirk's dog called Brian Harvey who is one of my favourite characters in a book ever!) thin ...more

I loved this book- the book starts off in Birmingham, which is my home town. It's always nice to picture familiar places.

It covers a glamping trip with a group of friends who are all at a stage in their life where they either want to be settling down or moving forward in glittering careers.

The scene is set when the car breaks down just outside the festival site and a gorgeous man helps them out. Will this glamping trip turn out to be a break they enjoy or a torture resembling girl guide trips? T

I've never been to a festival and I've never been glamping but I feel I have tipped my toe (a bit like Fiona) in the water now! This book had me smiling throughout its pages and my head was shouting, wake up and follow your heart Fiona! This is escapism through the lives of a mixed bunch of friends going on a short much needed break. It has laughs in abundance with a few OMG factors thrown in as well. A great feel good read.

Although it was a quick read, it started out somewhat slow. The storyline in the first few chapters was mediocre at best. But if you can make it to the sixth or seventh chapter and beyond, you may end up enjoying the book. The two older gentleman who go to the pub on the regular are by far the best characters in the book. Frank and George are their names. You too will undoubtedly love them as well by the end of the book.

Beautiful from start to finish and actually, this book helped me put a lot in perspective at a time in my life when I needed the gentle guidance and laughter to get through. Liz Tipping creates a wonderful world, full of texture and emotion and I thoroughly recommend this book. Without a doubt.

"Five Go Glamping" is Liz Tipping's debut novel, and what a lovely, sweet and charming debut it is! It is full of humour, brilliant one - liners and funny, embarrassing situations, so actually it is just what the doctor ordered for the end of this summer. I also absolutely adore the cover of this book, the colours are so lush and strong and only looking at this yurt is making me laugh, as I still remember the antics of the characters.

The book was quick, really, and I mean the way it was written

There leaves much to be desired in the editing of this first book from this new author. The story line is okay..and the characters are pretty much developed..but the wording or complete omission of words in the sentence structure was exasperating to me.

I loved Enid Blyton's The Famous Five series when I was younger and, as such, I instantly loved the title for Five Go Glamping.

In choosing to read Five Go Glamping, I was expecting a light-hearted, easy-to-read book and that is exactly what I got!

Fiona is sensible and responsible. She lives her life with a determination to meet her 'five year plan' and is virtually driving herself crazy with her need to follow that plan. This is despite working in a job she hates, whilst being in a long-term rel

Hilariously funny, deliciously feel-good and absolutely irresistible, Five Go Glamping is the fantastic debut novel from a terrific new writer of romantic comedy – Liz Tipping!

Sensible, responsible and practical are three adjectives that fit Fiona Delaney like a glove. She’s been in the same job for 15 years, saves every penny she earns and has got a five year plan that she sticks to like glue. Fiona has always reckoned that the path to happiness lies in sticking to her goals and in not letting

Last week I spotted the fabulous sparkly book cover of Five Go Glamping, the debut by Liz Tipping. The synopsis sounded very interesting so I requested it via NetGalley and I must say I was blown away by this funny and romantic story of four best friends and one very cute puppy glamping it up in a "wild" countryside location.

Fiona, the main character, needs a break from her hectic life, her obsession for planing and her rather boring job. Fiona's boyfriend Connor is hardly there for her (apparen

Review: a really cute story with some characters you'll love to love and some you'll love to hate. This was a fairly quick read, an ebook to carry with you and pick up when you need cheering up! I really liked The main character Fiona. At first I wasn't sure whether I would warm to her because she seemd a little weak but she really grew as the story went on and I ended up having a lot of respect for her. I liked the relationship that she had with her friendship group and that she realised that s ...more

Five Go Glampimg was a great light hearted read, which came at the perfect time for me as I've had some real in depth books of late.

The story features Fiona, a lady with a plan -a five year plan that's now in its sixth year to be exact and one that involves her having a fabulous job (yes she's been doing the same thing for years), having a gorgeous place to live rather than her little flat and living with Connor - the boyfriend who is wrapped up in his own world.

When Fiona's friends suggest the

Fiona is a planner, she loves having a 5 year plan with her boyfriend Connor, she spends all her time saving, and planning to save etc... So a few days relaxing in the countryside doesn't fully appeal to her sense of structure.

This book was pretty straightforward chic lit I didn’t hate it but not something I would read again. The Five go Glamping is about 4 friends and a dog who end up taking a free vacation to a local festival and the struggle our main character has with what to do with her life.

I was intrigued initially to this novel by the title. I’m a novice camper and any idea of ‘glamping’ up camping is a bonus for me, but this book is more that just a tale of posh camping. It is a tale of believing in the here and now and enjoying the moment and also to go ‘off plan’ at times as you never know what fun could be had when you are spontaneous.

I loved all the characters Liz Tipping had created. Fiona was a little neurotic about her five year plan and I could feel a little sympathy for

I was very excited to get stuck into this book. I'd had it on pre-order for a couple of months and had read the beginning a long time ago. What was very nice was reading over the Bank Holiday weekend - very fitting since that's when the book is set.

The story follows Fiona and her three friends (and dog), who go glamping at a 'Find Yourself' festival over the Bank Holiday weekend. They are all far more used to town life and camping in a muddy field (albeit in a luxury yurt) throws them out of the
