I'm a lover of all things romance - novels, poetry, flowers and chocolate (Snickers and chocolate covered peanuts are my favorite). I also love visiting romantic destinations - the sunny beaches of the Caribbean and romantic European cities including London and Paris. My idea of heaven - a comfy lawn chair on the beach in the shade of a palm tree, with a sizzling romance novel and a pina colada. Romance rocks - every time!
The book was good but to short. Serena and Roman have intense desire for each other but I missed where the love grew. I wanted a lot more after the office scene where it will they won't they over and over while they discover things they love about the other. Those were the parts that I missed in the book. The epilogue was good and probably got it its forth star. I will continue reading this series but I hope they link the series because I hate when authors write series and only link then by a common denominator rather than actually knowing one another.
I read this story in one sitting. A great escape for a lazy Sunday afternoon, and a great build up to a fantastic romance. If you believe in love at first sight or modern day romance, you will love this book.
Fantastic, feel good love story. Just enough Hot & steamy, emotional turmoil. An easy read, with characters that are easy to get to know. Hot & hunky, Roman vs Sexy, feisty Serena.
Bravo to the author on being able to relate some depth behind each character. Not always easy in short stories or novella's. Well done in creating this little gem.
There are quite a few issue's brought to the top within this tale & the characters handle themselves quite nicely. I like it when the younger female (Serena), that captures the slightly older dominant male (Roman) affections, is just as strong in character & not an airhead.
It's also nice to not always read about whether the billionaire is being chased for the ultimate $$. Having the main charcters getting together, not for money or even a revenge thing, but for love & possibly love at first sight, very romantic.
Looking forward to the next Billionaire Bad boys story, working my way through 1-8, bring it on.
Serena just graduated from college and looking to 3 months in Europe with her best friends. But daddy had other ideas. He had pampered her too much & now he wanted her get a taste of real life. So he cancelled her trip and secured an internship for 6 months at Steele Enterprises, cut off her allowance & said she had to live within her salary. She felt it was punishment and plotted a way to get fired the first day. But Roman Steele, CEO, had other plans.
Not too bad, but read it in about 2 hours. I wish the structure for the characters was better built, and mor of the love growing. Also wish there was more story after they told each other they were in love. Wasn't my favorite of her books (maid in the usa was my favorite so far!)
very good story of love at first sight in the corporate world. the book ended very fast though which I was sad about. I would've liked to have read about the wedding & what he thought of seeing Serena walking down the aisle to him. looking forward to reading the next in the series.
I love a good romance and this one delivered. Put together one spoilt brat and one yummy hunk and watch the fireworks begin. My only issues was it was a rather short story.
Tamed by the Billionaire (The Bad Boy Billionaires #1) was a good read by Judy Angelo. Serena is about to begin her three-month tour of Europe with her college mates and can't wait for them to go. She never believed that she would find herself trapped in a six-month internship with the overbearing business tycoon, Roman Steele. This was an arrangement that was orchestrated by her father. Serena is determined to prove to her father that she won't bow down to any mans demands. But she never thought that she may have met her match in Roman. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.
What a wonderful story! Comedy, romance so heartfelt. A gal finishes University and starts life back home in Canada, meets the man of her dreams and becomes a woman. You will laugh at how Theresa snaps at her. So abrupt and funny! I like the details, timing is perfect and very well written. I’m going to read the next book in the series now MAID IN THE U.S.A. Thank you Judy Angelo, an excellent book! 5 Stars.
Serena just graduated with her Bachelor's of Art degree. She has planned to go to Europe with her 2 best friends for the next 3 months. But when Serena goes home her father puts his foot down and tells her she is not going to Europe, she is going to work.
How does Serena feel about her fathers demands? How will she respond to her new boss? New job? Will Serena change from the spoiled little girl to the woman she is expected to become?
They meet, Insta-lust, she gets a job working for him, they bake a cake together, they have sex in the office, she runs off because she doesn’t understand his reaction, and then they get married. There is nothing else to this book. No anion, no real storyline. Just a very young spoiled brat and a guy 15 years older than her. Operas egg to be quite immature. I will not be reading further books from the series.

Couldn’t connect with the characters at all. Nice premise and was a quick read but I actually skimmed some of it because the characters were flat for me. Good read for anyone looking for a quick romance with a guaranteed HEA.
Freebie. Started off luke warm about the book but that office scene.... sorry not even isolation during this pandemic could make me finish it, had to give it away.
Serena Van Buren, is the privileged daughter of a wealthy businessman, and Serena can't wait to begin her three-month tour of Europe with her college mates. Fate has other plans in store! Instead of dancing with handsome Italians and dining with charming Frenchmen Serena finds herself trapped in a six-month internship with overbearing business tycoon, Roman Steele - an arrangement orchestrated by her own father. Serena will just show Roman that she doesn't yield to the demands of any man. She's a Van Buren, after all, known to wither a man with one look. But Roman Steele is like no man she's ever met before. Suave, sexy and stunningly handsome, there's something about him that she can't resist. It looks like Serena Van Buren has finally met her match.
This is a cute electrical book. Full of sparks and charges of every kind you can imagine! Serena is finding her way in the business world, but she is also finding her way in love department also. Serena is cute, but despite her 'spoiled' status, i found myself rooting for her. Gave it a 5 star.
Serena Van Buren ,is only daughter of wealthy businessman, just graduated from her degree in art history when her father demands that her must has her internship start immediately with his business friend. Serena is spoiled all of her life and she knows that she doesn't want to start her internship. until she finds him .Roman Steele is successful businessman , he's tall dark and handsome and their chemistry is sparking everywhere.
Serena is cute :). I love her. at the beginning of this book she is spoiled girl but she gradually changed and I love that. and Roman ,well he makes this novel fun (in the good way). he's very strict outside but kind inside boss type. and when he first sees our heroine ,he lost all his calm..
and I'm like .." what's happening " when they first kiss He never fails to amuse me :P
I don't even know why I love this novel so much but yeah I love this
This book was kind of all over the place for me. The heroine was a spoiled rich girl that we really didn't get too in depth with, making it hard to care for/relate to her. The billionaire was almost glossed over, so that we don't learn too much about him. The whole book seemed very rushed to me, and at the end I was left saying "That's it?". I think I picked this one up for free or $.99, but I wouldn't spend the money again on it, if I did actually pay for it. I'm hoping the other books in the series end up better than this one.
It was just ok for me... very short... should have been free... I know it was only .99, but for God sakes... I've read world class novels that only cost .99... This book I read in about an hour... sheesh...
The story line started out great, but moved too fast.. not enough detail... not enough meaty sections to strike up my emotions... I liked it... but definitely did not love it and won't be reading anymore from this author unless the stories get a little more interesting... with more bulk to them!!!
A cute novella, I finished it in one sitting. I liked both the main characters especially Serena. She knew what she wanted, confident and not shy to get it. She fitted my expectation of a rich girl who grew up with all the privileges and as an heiress for multi-million company. Roman was okay. I was irritated with him every time he rejected Serena’s advances, thinking it was wrong or that she didn’t want him. How dense could he be?! But anyway, all well that ended well. The resolution was kinda abrupt but happy ending, nonetheless, without the usual cheesiness.
A sweet office romance. Serena is a rather spoiled innocent new adult who acts more like a high school girl. Protected and given everything she has ever wanted, her father suddenly decides she needs to take responsibility for her life. She pouts but gets to work.
Roman is the rather young (30 year old) CEO who takes on the job of mentoring Serena for her father. A set up sure to cause sparks.
A great story for a lazy day. Janine Santana did a wonderful job narrating.
I recieved a free Author's Direct copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.
Serena plans are hindered when her father makes her work under Roman Steele instead of her world trip. She is given allowances and has to work under the most arrogant jerk she ever encountered, she tries to rebel but Roman knows just right how to handle her.In between their interaction sparks fly and Serena is filled with desire instead if rage, can they both ignite their passion to flame or drowned in their insecurities?
The problem with this book is that, its too short, It doesn't give off that pull of characters, There's no dept to the characters. If the Author only did more of characterization and descriptions this would be a very good book.
There's no wow factor. sorry but it still a good book.
This book was real short and I thought there needed to be more tension between the H and h. Also I thought Serena should have had a harder time adjusting to working and such as she had been so pampered. There just wasn't a lot of depth.
