“After I sold my first company, the same night I met you, I doubted myself. I wasn’t sure which way to turn. I drove to Arizona and looked out at the Grand Canyon, waiting for answers. A place like that really makes you realize how little control you have. But it also puts things in perspective.”

WHAT!?!?!? That ending had to be one of the best I have ever read. It was so intense and RAW... I could feel the anger and betrayal these two feel emanating from the pages onto my skin. Even after all the bad, I am still smiling like a fool even though I finished this last night. I honestly cried so much by the end that I had trouble reading through it... but I managed! I loved how Jessica didn't bombard me with information in th

‘They hurt themselves to hurt each other.’

Obsession, the last book in the Explicitly Yours series, starts exactly where Provocation, book 3, ends. It’s deeper and more emotional, and watching both characters fight and unravel at the same time because of their love-hate for each other, makes for an intensely anticipated conclusion.

Lola ‘Melody’ Winters, 29 Years Old.
Beau Olivier, 37 Years Old.

I can’t review this specific novel properly without spoiling the first three in the series.

Haiz I honestly expected a lot more but this book is bound to be short since the beginning. I wish this is longer!!

Lola taken her revenge on Beau and is now on the run. While Beau wants her back and is dying to find her. We follows both of them as they face up with their feelings once each other is gone. Not a whole lot happen in this one. But once they find each other, they throw their feelings on in the open and well that was a nice closure

Turn out Lola is (view spoiler)

This book was amazing! I can't say much as I'd probably spoil something. However, I can say that Beau definitely sees the error of his ways, and as I stated in my review for the previous book, Lola is a savage. Honestly, she made him feel what it was like to have your heart ripped out.

Loved every moment of this, she truly became the master at his game.

Thank you for this dysfunctional, damaged, loving, heart wrenching story Ms Jessica Hawkins. I'd probably take a look at her other works. This was

This book (Books 1-4) was very well-written with nice plot development and characterization. You need to read carefully to appreciate all the gems that the author has littered upon the path. Lola and Beau are both complex characters; there is no simple love/hate for them. You'd love this book if you appreciate the subtlety and nuances of the many facets of character development.

That being said, I don't enjoy reading this book. I often find myself bored with the many descriptions of unimportant

This book was my favourite of the series. What let it down was the talking in circles when they finally met, and I was expecting more fireworks and passion at the end, which never happened. Too much chat, not enough sex! Lol!

This was a decent series and was very well written. Some things bugged me, but overall I enjoyed it.

True freedom would never come with revenge. -Lola.
I gotta be honest, I didn't care for the direction this story went and I'm bummed even more with how it ended. This was my legit reaction when I got to the end of the audio:

I was hoping that I would see a shift in Beau's priorities and attitude sooner on in this book, but unfortunately, he didn't have his epiphany until like 80%...a little too late for my liking. Also, a majority of the book was spent with him chasing/searching for Lola, so they

Beau did not see the revenge coming but when it happened he was angry and wanted to find Lola. He wanted to destroy her? Lola played the final card which not only hurt Beau but herself as well. While Lola has disappeared, Beau is intent on finding her. He goes through all the motions of being angry, looking for revenge and ultimately looking at himself and realising the part he played in this game. How shallow of a man he became because of his money. He realises that

I can’t believe story is over!! I NEED an epilogue!! I was still full of emotions and then there was nothing to read on anymore! OMG! I LOVE the way this book just gripped me in from the first one. It was amazing!!!
Pretty Woman meets Indecent Proposal indeed!!

I was never a fan of love triangles, and I never end up rooting for the other guy, but, BUT— BEAU! Ugh, I do love him. I love him the most when he’s going crazy and so vulnerable and loses his shit, Lola tested him up to his eyeballs. 😝

What a cliffhanger (little joke there). Loved loved loved it. Always exciting starting a new book and new author and I am now changing my TBR list to add the rest of her books in there.

Left me in such a good mood all day. Wonderful

As we moved into the last book in the series I really started to question how things were going to turn out. Although this isn’t a typical romance book it did end with its own version of a happily ever after.
I would highly recommend this book if you’re looking for something a little bit different.

The ending for this series was a bit slower than the 3 books that came before it. The plot seemed to drag a lot more compared to the first 3 books.

I could read about Beau for the rest of my life

Lola lost me along the way. This concludes a story of a man who sees what he wants loses it, gets a second chance and almost blows it again. But he gets it. Gets that he really does want this woman for more than he thought. Lola doesn't understand that he did what he did from rejection. She did what she did from a vindictive, spiteful hurt that she put on Beau, when she was a willing participant. She's just lucky he really does love her.

Beau Olivier had the perfect plan to enact revenge on Lola Winters.
She refused him one important night all those years ago.
Despite completing his plan, it didn’t go as effortlessly as he had wanted.
She fell in love. But so did he.

Constantly haunted by Lola, Beau is left behind in shambles back in LA. Meanwhile, Lola has disappeared from the city. He’s furious with losing the game, and determined to track down Lola. Yet there seems to be another underlying motivation for him to find her.

Dear David Dylan,
I love you but... Beau. 'nuff said.

"She deserved a man who would fight for her. Lay down his life for her. Who would earn her love, no matter what it took, because he couldn't survive another day without it. A man who could give her the things money couldn't buy."

This book... ugh!!! This one tugged at my heartstrings. It was a completely different pace than the previous books. I feel like the characters were 'balls to wall' for so long that they had to slow down. It was in those

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads~~

The last in a series which finally gets us where (I think) we wanted to be all along! It has been a rocky road, but I am glad I stayed till the end.
You would definitely need to have read the full story to understand this finale.

At the end of the last book, Lola has made her escape, gained her revenge and in theory all is good. Beau however is finally working out what is important and there may be hope. The complications

I consider myself harder to please than most when it comes to books. It definitely takes more than a cock that's thick as an arm or a gorgeous billionaire to make me happy and keep me engaged in a story. This series was so good, I could not put it down!

Book 4 was exceptional for me in that it stayed true to the characters and their emotions. There was no rolling over and taking it. There was no, he loves me, so everything can be peachy now. No sudden departures in lifelong behaviors or beliefs

If sugar sweet highly unlikely endings are your thing, this is the book for you.

So again, I hate that this book is so stupidly short. But even that glaringly obnoxious flaw isn't as irritating as abrupt left turns and complete departures from a characters pattern of behavior. The second Lola got a "happy" surprise I just skimmed it until the end. I mean, 2 stars for the writing but I had to deduct 1 for the length, 1 for the butchering of the previously complex characters, and the last is for th

Thought the final book would be better

There was a lot of buildup, but climax was lackluster. I found the dialogue and interaction at the end of the book to be awkward and not well written, like it was rushed for publishing. The series is still worth a read, but lower your expectations.

Lola seems like she a smart women until she buys a lotus. Like really? And the ending was just meh.
Nothing Like A Great Book
It let the characters down. Beau wasn't as hurt by Lola's departure to begin with, as he should've been, and Lola morphed into a completely different irritating idiot in the last two chapters. Her over dramatic reasons for 'whatever', were dumb. Standing on a cliff edge? Didn't give this book the 'edge' it should have had; on the contrary it too was dumb. Was Lola going to throw herself off; was Beau going to throw himself off; were they going to both jump off the edge together?? I found myself ...more
