3.5 Stars. The character development was true and heartfelt and prose was mature.

The witch could have been described in a better way, it seemed like the husband was too fixated on his wife, both before and after her death. Could have been a better read had it been in parts. But it was gripping, no doubt. I couldn't put it down until I reached the end.

I've read this book before but I guess I missed rating it and reread it by accident. not a horrible story. Henry and his wife, who after loosing a child a year ago, go on a road trip. they get lost find a house thats in the middle of nowhere and meet an older lady. she tells them of an orchard they should go visit. things go wrong after that visit. I wish the ending was a bit stronger or this book could have been 4 stars.

Terrifying

At times I had to put this down and clear my mind of what I was reading. It has been a long time since I've read anything like this. Such a good read. Enjoy
