Wrecked is the third and final book in the Axle Alley Vipers series by Sherilee Gray. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by the author.

Wrecked Sherilee Gray:

This book focuses on the third of the three women who own and work at West Restoration. Piper West is the youngest of the three and because of this, constantly feels like everyone is over protective of her, especially her big brother Deke. Now that both Alex and Rusty have moved out, Piper is living alone in the cottage next door to the garage. But she doesn’t mind. She kind of enjoys the privacy. But her brother is having none of it. So he asks his best friend and now employee who is managing his newest business, West Security, Cole Black, to move in to the empty apartment above the garage, right next to the cottage where Piper lives.

female mechanic:

Cole Black came back to Miami after having to leave the police force up in New York. His police career ended when he had a terrible accident, causing the death of his then partner and best friend. Cole spends his time blaming himself for the accident and barely makes it through each day with the weight he carries. His friend, Deke West, hired him to manage his new security business and see if he can turn it around. He loved this job. But what is he supposed to do when Deke asks him to move into his empty garage apartment and keep an eye on his sister? The same sister that Cole has lusted after for as long as he can remember. But ever since his accident, not only is he scarred on the inside, he is on the outside as well. Piper deserves a whole man. A man who can emotionally provide for her, love her. He is no longer capable of those things.

“The one woman he couldn’t allow himself to have, and the only woman he wanted.”

Piper has had a thing for Cole since she was just a kid. But he never seemed to notice her that way. She thought that he just thought of her like a kid sister. But then the kiss happened. The kiss that told her he wanted her as much as she wanted him. Now, the question is, where do things go from here.

 :

My gosh can Sherilee Gray write steam! And these two do generate plenty of it! When Cole and Piper finally get together, they have plenty of time to make up for. But still, Cole is afraid of what Rusty’s brother, Deke would say if he knew what was going on. Not to mention the fact that he feels like he doesn’t deserve her.

 :

This is really a wonderful story of finally getting the chance to connect with the person you have always secretly loved. But, as Cole is working through his mental road blocks that won’t allow himself to be happy, there is also a danger lurking. I loved this final book. As always, we get little glimpses into how our previous two couples are doing. And I am in love with the epilogue. What a beautiful way to wrap everything up. I am so glad to have been introduced to this author. And I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Alex, Rusty, and Piper, the Axel Alley Vipers, and the men who love them. I hope you’ll enjoy meeting them as well.

Cole is a dirty talker and I love it :-p Piper is a mechanic with something to prove and Cole a former cop who has felt much loss in his life. He's been in love with Piper for a long time but held back. After some reluctant sparks catch, they burn up together and it's pretty spectacular. Cute read with depth. And a whole lot of sexy.

5 - "I'm not ready to lose this... not yet." Stars!

The Axle Alley Vipers series is definitely one I am glad that I stuck with. I won’t lie I wasn’t sure me and the authors writing were a fit after the first book. But I was wrong and each following book in the series has been better than its predecessor.

You are given a sense of the deep and underlying attraction between Cole and Piper in the previous book in this series, but Cole Black is a man with serious demons, and although the scars on his body give visible recognition to the fact that he is a guy dealing with the aftermath of a serious accident.

She would never get used to the haunted look behind those arctic blue eyes.

What you don’t see, and I think what makes this book so good, are the internal scars, and the massive impact they are having on a man who is used to being in control, and how he perceives the loss of that control has irrevocably changed his life. The author took Cole’s survivors guilt and resulting PTSD and incorporated it into a really great romantic read.

Piper West is the curvy, sassy younger West sibling, having been molly-coddled by her older sister and brother for most of her life, she is eager to prove to them both that she is the responsible and grown up woman that is capable of taking over the reins of her own life. Cole is the man that she has had feelings for, for years, her brother’s closest friend played an integral part of her teenage dreams and fantasies.

There was not a trace of the boy she’d fallen for when she was just a teenager.

But the man she fell for is lost under a blanket of guilt, feelings or unworthiness and a general emotional shut-down. And what follows as the book progresses is the gradual breaking down of those walls with temptation, sass and just plain old flirtation, and I adored every second of it.

"I’m not your fucking brother."

What was a surprise was just how deliciously dirty Cole was, once Piper got him a bit riled up, and I have to say Sherilee Gray added some absolutely stellar sexy-times between this couple. But the feels, ahh the feels, this is a book that puts you through the emotional wringer for its couple, but it was so, so worth every minute of it.

"I’ve waited so long for you… I need you."
"You have me"

This book can be read as a standalone, but the series as a whole has turned out to be an unexpected winner for me. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Piper is finally living on her own and she’s more than ready to prove to everyone that she’s perfectly capable of living on her own even if her overbearing brother appoints her long-time crush as her new babysitter and that she may have to keep a secret or two.

Cole owes Piper’s brother big time. After the accident that lost him job as a policeman and left him scarred, Deke was the one to give him a new direction so looking after his hot baby sister is the least he can do.

If only Piper would stop waving her hot little body and beautiful smile in front of his scarred face, everything will be fine.

God, I just loved these characters. Piper is sassy and fierce and when she decides that Cole is what she wants, she makes damn sure she’ll get him. She’s sweet and maybe a little naïve but it never became irritating and she’s got a healthy dose of saucy minx. Cole has his hands full trying to ignore Piper in her tiny shorts and seeing him fumble over his hormones and being led around by his dick was just delicious. When his control finally snapped and his filthy mouth finally came out to play, the chemistry was on fire! He stubbornly held onto his feelings of guilt after the accident and wouldn’t allow anyone to get close but Piper was sweet and patient and pretty soon the cracks in Cole’s armour started to show.

Wrecked was a super entertaining book. It had everything from insanely hot sexual tension, angst, sweetness, action and some really heart-felt tenderness. Absolutely recommended if you’re looking for a bit of escapism and a scarred alpha trying to find his way again.

AXLE ALLEY VIPERS
Crashed (Book 1) Review HERE
Revved (Book 2)
Wrecked (Book 3)

Wrecked is the third and final book of Sherilee Gray's Axle Alley Vipers series. Each book can be read as a standalone book since each focuses on a different couple. Wrecked focuses on the third and youngest woman from West Restoration.

Piper West is FINALLY on her own and she is looking forward to not having someone constantly watching over her. With both Alex and Rusty out of the house, Piper is living alone is the cottage close to their garage and looking forward to living alone. But her big brother, Deke, is not happy about her living alone and sends his best friend, Cole, to live in the apartment above the garage to keep an eye on her. Piper has had a crush on Cole for as long as she can remember, but he has never seen her as more than his best friend's little sister.

Cole Black recently moved back to Miami after having to leave the NYPD. He is still struggling with the car accident that ended his career, leaving him permanently scarred and injured and killed his partner. His best friend (and Piper's big brother) makes Cole the manager of his new security firm, West Security, hoping to help him get back on his feet and move on with his life. But Cole still feels that since his partner left behind a wife and son, he doesn't deserve to be happy in his life, especially with Piper, the girl he has loved for YEARS. So what is he supposed to do when his best friend asks him to move close to Piper and keep an eye on her? It is torture for Cole to be this close to her and not allowing himself to have her. He believes that Piper deserves a whole man that can give her the world, and Cole doesn't believe he is that man anymore.

But when ONE kiss shows them that they both want more, will Piper be able to break through Cole's internal scars and show him that he deserves to be happy and whole.

After an accident takes the life of his partner Cole Black is left with a serious case of survivor's guilt and riddled with insurmountable regret. Even though the accident wasn't his fault Cole still feels responsible, and is struggling to make peace with all of it. The accident not only stole the life of his friend, but it also left him with injuries that have taken him out of the line of duty. So with nothing left for him in the city, he moves home to Miami to work for his friend Deacon at his security firm. He is more than appreciative for the job offer, and so, when Deacon asks him for a little favor, he feels obligated to help him out. Not realizing that this little favor could actually benefit him too...

Piper West is more than ready to be free from her overbearing brother and friends, and is quite excited about the opportunity to be able to finally live on her own in her cottage. She wants to prove to all of them that she no longer needs looking after, and is more than capable of handling things on her own. Their constant monitoring has left her feeling smothered and in great need of a breath of fresh air. But she soon realizes that her plan to be free maybe a little harder than she anticipated, because her big brother isn't quite ready to cut the apron strings, and has hired a friend to secretly keep tabs on her. And this friend just so happens to be the man she has crushed on for years...

To say that I was thrilled for the opportunity to return to this series, is a complete understatement, I have been dying to read Piper's story for some time now!! With each new installment to this series Ms. Gray has managed to not only provide me with one amazing literary escape, but also reaffirm my belief that she is truly a gifted storyteller. If you have not read this series yet, I must tell you that you are missing out on some truly amazing reading, and the opportunity to meet some uniquely crafted characters that are sure to leave an indelible impression on your heart.

Definitely one of of the best series that I have had the pleasure of reading this year!! Highly recommend you make a visit to the Axle Alley Vipers series, it is sure satisfy all your reading cravings...and then some!!

A fantastic friends to lovers romance full to the brim with love, laughter, angst, pain, longing, and heartfelt emotions.

Cole has shut himself off to all those closest to him in the aftermath of a tragedy. Blaming himself for the death of his partner, he believes he deserves to suffer and disregards all the plans he had made for his future. His biggest goal had been to return to his hometown and win the hand of the girl he has always loved, but he accepts that that will never be, as he feels he isn't good enough or worthy enough of her anymore.

Pipe West has always been in love with her big brothers bestie, Cole. They had an easy going relationship until she came of age and realized her feelings ran deep. But he had a job and a life far away so she has been pining in silence. When he returns, he is a shell of his former self, and she is determined to help him in any way she can.

Characterization was superb in this book and I felt all of Cole's devastation and grief and all of Pipe's soul-deep longing for the one guy who has always seemed out of her reach. This was an angst-filled read that also had it's fair share of sweet and sexy times.

I did feel like the inner monologue was very repetitive at times (especially Cole's) and I did skim over parts that I felt were redundant. Sometimes, the plot got lost in all the sex, and the stalker plot line was a bit weak and cliche. This is the main reason why this is a 4-star, not 5-star read.

It was well written, and I loved the family-n-friends dynamic, and I'm intrigued about the other couples and will definitely pick up their books at some point.

All in all, this was a really great read, and one I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Wrecked was such a good read!

Loved Cole & Piper, both characters were entertaining, likable and very relatable.
It was heartbreaking watching Cole struggle with the emotional and body scars after the trauma he'd been through. He was convinced Piper deserved more than what he could offer. If only he could see the beautiful and loving man Piper and we could see... sigh

description

I loved Piper, she was passionate, funny, cute, and had the biggest heart! She would put her own desires and dreams aside to make sure the people she loved were happy.
Another thing I loved about Piper was her love for Cole, he's always been the "one" for her.
Over time Piper was able to show Cole that together they could get through anything, and that he too deserved happiness.
They made me swoon and cheer for them, loved their banter and passion. And their chemistry? OFF THE CHARTS! **fans self**

This was a beautiful and well written romance, with memorable and lovable characters. I've been a huge fan of the Axle Alley Vipers series and while each book can be read as a standalone I highly recommend them all.
This is one series I will be reading again.

Looking forward to reading more from this talented author in the near future.

The final book in the Axel Alley Vipers series was a nice and easy read. Piper West has been in love with her brothers best friend, Cole Black, since forever. But ever since he returned home scarred and closed off she can't get through to him. Cole lost his partner in a high speed chase and was dealing with survivor guilt. He found himself to be unworthy of anything and everything, including love or a chance at Piper.

Lots of love/hate happening with Cole being all alpha-male and Piper trying her best to move on. As usual, there were plenty of sexy times and drama on the road to a HEA.

Didn’t like this as much as the first two. It got tedious for me waiting for them to get together. Cole isn’t as alpha as I hoped.. he was kinda dumb dumb not to notice that Piper was into him (and he’s supposed to be a former cop)

wrecked after

I need to start off by saying that this may possibly be my favorite book cover in the Axle Alley Vipers series. I've loved all three of them, but Wrecked by Sherilee Gray just makes me have the feels. This book was highly anticipated for me. It is one of those that you wait and wait for, just hoping you'll get the ARC. For me, thank goodness, that happened.

What did I love about this book? Oh, well, just everything! Let me start going down the list. Female mechanics. Yeah, girls proving they can do what guys can do, and just as well. The car world is male dominated, and females tend to be show pieces. I'm glad to say the book plot here goes against that, even if the girls are still gorgeous! The plot in this one! You get a second chance romance, plus a bit of friends to lovers. The chemistry here is off the charts! Well thought out and planned characters. You understand exactly why they feel how they feel, without it plowing you over.

Piper and Cole; Goodness. Where do I even begin? As I stated before, you have definite chemistry. You have chemistry where one of them is fighting for them, and the other is trying to run from them. To be quite frank, I still can't pick a favorite girl out of all three in the series, but Piper might just be it. I loved her. I didn't really love her obsession with pink, but it fit her. Cole runs a close second for my favorite hero. This man has a past, not only with Piper but in general. You get a great understanding for exactly why he does what he does. I'd call him book boyfriend material for sure.

Technical information wise, this is the third book in the Axle Alley Viper series. It most certainly can be read as a standalone, however I would fully recommend reading all three books in the series. It is told from an alternating third person point-of-view, with no cliffy and it does have an HEA.

Sherilee Gray has completely stolen my heart with this series and I'm sad to see the end of it. I'm positively sure this won't be my last book by her!

I just love picking up romance novels that have cops in them. They are usually written as being protective, loving, kind, fierce, and all of these are exactly how this author has portrayed the main character in this new release.

Oh my gosh! This story had me from the beginning. It was emotional and extremely moving. Cole is a damaged man but his love shines through for his sweet girl - the girl he's loved since he was 17. The thing is - he doesn't believe he's worthy of love.

The author did a magnificent job getting into the mind of Cole. This story is intense with a bit of suspense and crime. Depth of emotion and hot steamy scenes where you can just feel the passion and connection between these two are throughout. You just know they will work things out.

This is a wonderful entertaining story that captivated me from the get go. Beautifully written with a lovely HEA that will leave a smile.

Boy I love this series, the characters are amazingly flawed to the point of either wanting to knock their heads together or completely mother them.

Piper the youngest of the Axel Vipers is like a curvaceous, golden sunbeam bringing light into people's lives. Struggling with body image issues and the comparisons to the other vipers , Piper really doesn't see how beautiful she is inside and out. She constantly feels she has to prove herself to those around her. I don't know why she felt it necessary to keep her feelings locked away other than she didn't want to appear 'weak' to her loved ones :(

Cole has loved Piper for most of his life, although his status as her brothers best friend has prevented him from making his feelings known. However, Cole has a plan, make something of himself than declare his feelings to Piper and make her his for the rest of their lives. SWOON.

Unfortunately, life has other ideas. Cole ends his high-profile police career in a tragic accident. Leaving him consumed by regret and guilt. He no longer feels worthy of Piper. Having had all his hopes and dreams ripped from him leaving him quite literally wrecked. Watching Cole's struggle to come to terms with the way his life has changed was heart wrenching.

Piper and Cole are absolutely perfect for each other, providing the love and support they both need in order to flourish as individuals and as a couple. I hated watching their struggle to actually have a relationship. Their intense chemistry they have doesn't hurt either ;)

Thank you Sherilee for providing such a wonderful extended epilogue for all of the couples featured in the series ♥♥♥

I cannot wait to see what you produce next.

This book truly tugged at my heart. Cole Black is a former cop who was injured on duty. This left him scarred and feeling overly self-conscious of himself. One the sexy bachelor that trolled the scene with women, living the life, he is rather reclusive now, having grown a full beard just to cover his facial scars. He has been in love forever with his best friend’s sister, Piper West, and had planned to act on these feelings…right before his accident left him disfigured. Figuring that his chance with her is gone, he is enlisted by his friend to watch over Piper. This puts the two smack dab in each other’s lives, for better or for worse!

I loved the give and take between these two characters. You never would have guessed that Piper was as into Cole as he was into her. Sherilee Gray was a master with words, keeping the reader entertained, and continuously doing things that brought these two closer together, even though they literally have grown up with each other. The two want each other badly, but really had to break down walls between them, and honestly around them in their own personal lives, before they could explore more than friendship boundaries. Their chemistry? SMOKING HOT. These two were on fire and Ms. Gray weaves a tale that I, as a reader, wanted to be a part of. I wanted to be Piper! I wanted to take as much as Cole wanted to give! Protective, sexy, alpha man, who wouldn’t want him?! Great read!

No one likes a martyr.

Cole needed to as Deke put it "get over himself".
When a hero or heroine does the whole push and pull, I'm not good enough, you deserve better routine, it messes up the book for me. It takes away from what could be a beautiful solid relationship between the main characters.

Too much time was spent with Cole being pig headed. The relationship between them as adults was all sex. We didn't get to read about them on dates too much and even when it was put in there it was too short.

There wasn't really much background on either of them. I would have liked to know more about them when they were both young and in love with each other. Those things give us a better glimpse of the M.Cs. Felt like I missed out on something.

The little bit of added drama in there wasn't needed especially with all the back and forth that was already there.

Cole is such an alpha, "then he growled. A deep sound that vibrated through his chest. “I’m not your effing brother.” I loved Piper she was loving and carefree and I loved her playfulness with Cole, "damn, the man got to her. Every. Time. She gave his butt a pat and winked. “Hold that thought till later, big guy. I need to take the salad out.” I liked this book.

Rounding out the Axle Alley Vipers series, this third story, Wrecked, zeroes in on the youngest of the West siblings with Piper’s story. She’s starting to get annoyed with the overprotectiveness exhibited by her older sister Rusty and brother Deacon, to the point of feeling that they really don’t believe in her abilities as a mechanic, or that she can manage living on her own. It’s not helped by Deacon’s insistence on their childhood friend Cole, a scarred ex-cop who lost any semblance of his easygoing personality in an accident that claimed his career, moving in next door to ‘keep an eye on her’. The problem is that Piper’s had her eye on Cole for years, and unbeknownst to her it’s been a mutual attraction. But with the loss of his job on the police force and his physical disfigurement, Cole no longer believes he has anything to offer Piper. With him in close proximity, can she find the man he used to be under the scars, and more importantly, will Cole finally be willing to let her into his heart?

This series, for me, has been a great example of why you should be willing to give an author a second chance to make a good impression. Truth be told, the first story in the series Crashed, was an okay read, but parts of Deacon’s character annoyed me so I gave it 3 stars. But I was still intrigued with the concept of the series, and picked up the second story, Revved, and really enjoyed that one! So when the opportunity to review the third and last story in the series came up, I was quite happy to pick it up as well.

The story is fairly predictable, with a ‘sibling’s best friend’ trope and the familiar concept of ‘your brother would kill me if he knew the fantasies I have about you’. Fortunately it’s not excessive, and more importantly, the difficulties Cole is having adjusting to his new life, post accident (in which his partner was killed and he blamed himself) take center stage. He’s physically scarred, but mentally even more so. Just when he had finally decided that the crush he had on Piper was worth pursuing, the accident made him believe that he was unworthy of love and affection, survivor’s guilt pulling him under time and time again. When Deacon asks him to keep an eye on Piper by moving in next door (to her sister’s now vacant flat, since she’s moved out to be with her man), he can’t say no – nor would he be able to stop the pull to her. In his eyes, she’s the perfect catch – smart, funny, talented, curvy and beautiful.

Piper’s got her own insecurities, her physique being one of them as she’s not the tall, willowy model type that she believes Cole is attracted to. Not to mention that since he’s returned home he’s been cold and untouchable. But at Deacon and Alex’s wedding, when she and Cole are in the wedding party, she sees the sparks in his eyes for her and realizes that he in fact returns that attraction, no matter whether his actions and words don’t show it. When they finally are alone together, they can’t deny their attraction any longer and agree that a sex only fling would be something they could both live with. Cole is able to justify sleeping with Piper if he doesn’t think it will become something more (even though his deepest desire is really to have a relationship with her, a desire he won’t admit out loud). As it turns out Cole is an expert dirty talker, and whoa, the sexy scenes in this story are super hot! They definitely have chemistry together.

I liked seeing Piper go after what she wants, both in terms of getting Cole into her bed, and in her desire to prove to her siblings that she’s got talent and skill that they are ignoring by giving her routine mechanic duties. She spends some time in the story restoring an old car on her own time, to prove to them that she deserves to be treated equally (and it isn’t that they don’t respect her, they just keep viewing her as their little sister). We see some of the sweetness in her character too, with her willingness to help out with some free repairs for women in need, as well as her desire to help Cole cope with his injuries, if he’ll just open up to her.

There is a little bit of a suspense plot thrown in, as someone wants Piper’s property and resorts to some stalkerish tendencies to try to persuade her to sell. That part of the story was a bit weak for me, but it made for some action scenes in the second half, and the chance for Cole to finally accept that to protect Piper, he’s going to have to convince her that he’s willing to be more than just a sex partner. Overall, this was an entertaining and sexy romance, and a great way to round out the series. 4 stars.

“God, I shouldn’t be here, Pipe.”
“Yes, you should,” she whispered back.
He cupped the side of her face, rough palm against her cheek, fingers sliding into her hair. “I tried to stay away.” He pressed in close, and she felt the thick, unforgiving length of his erection straining against her belly. “But I couldn’t.”
He leaned down and rested his forehead against hers. “What have you done to me, sweet girl?”
She slid her hands around his waist, fisting the soft fabric of his t-shirt, holding him to her, afraid he’d change his mind and go. “I’m glad you’re here. I’m glad you came.”
“You know how this has to be?” His rough, low voice skated across her skin, making her shiver.
“Yes.”
“You’re okay with that?”
He was asking if she was okay with this just being about sex. If she could be satisfied with that alone. If she was okay with him coming to her when he needed that release.
If she wanted him as well.
There was no physical way she could turn him away. She wanted this, wanted whatever he could give her.
She slid her hands up over his shoulders, pulling him down so she could press her mouth against his. She sucked his lower lip, moaning when her nipples grazed his hard chest. “Yes.”

Wrecked is the third book in the Axel Alley Vipers series by Sherliee Gray. It can be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading Crashed(book one), and Revved(book two) to understand the characters that are in this novel. Piper along with her sister, Rusty, and best friend, Alex, own and operate a custom car renovation garage. Both Rusty and Alex have found their men, this story features Piper!

Piper has been in love with her brother's best friend, Cole, since she was a teen. She thought she was over him when he left after high school. Now he's back-managing her brother's security firm. Everything she thought she knew just went out the window. She's never been over him. How can she make him understand he's always been the one?

Cole is back in town after a car accident has left him scarred and mourning the loss of his friend. He knows it is going to be tough seeing Piper again. He's been drawn to her, but she's his best friend's sister, so that means she's off limits. He's had to keep his feelings quiet. But after seeing her, he can't get her out of his head. They start a no-strings affair on the sly. They will each get the other out of their system and move on. But what happens when neither has any intention of moving on and some insecurities surface? How can they call it quits, when they both feel they can't live without the other?

Wow what a rollercoaster ride this book and whole series has been! I loved Piper and her generous nature. She fixes. If something is broke and she can help, she will. She knows Cole is torn up in his head after his car accident and she is determined to help him break free of the hold it has on him. Cole is definitely a mess! I can see why he feels this way. The baggage is totally believable and I really felt so bad for what he has endured. Piper is every thing to him and he just needed to work through his crap on his own time frame. People can help, but you have to put in the work to get through it yourself! I was glad he had some ah-ha moments and knew the author was going to write in a HEA for Cole and Piper. Yay! Wrecked is a very fitting ending to this series! Each girl is strong, likeable, and a force to be reckoned with! I would not hesitate to have them as my friends. I was initially drawn to the series because I too, work in what is typically a man's occupation. Sherilee Gray did a great job of showing their vulnerabilities along with their grittiness! I admired the girls tenacity and was happy to see them succeed in business and in love! I highly recommend the complete Axle Alley Viper series as it was genuinely an all-around captivating read!

Piper West owns a car restoration shop with her sister and her best friend. She also has an overprotective older brother. He decides to have his best friend, Cole Black move into the apartment right by her house to keep an eye on her. Even though Piper and Cole have known each other most of their lives, they are unaware of each other's feeling towards one another. Cole is emotionally and physically scarred from an accident in the past that cost his partner his life, so he doesn't find himself worthy of Piper.

I've been looking forward to this one since I read the previous one with Rusty and Reid, and I was not disappointed. I loved seeing little peeks into the lives of the characters from earlier stories too. I still need to buy the first one, since I missed that one! I loved Piper. She's the baby of the family and no one lets her forget it. She is doing all of the office work at the shop and is frustrated because her sister and best friend don't seem to trust her for anything more; so she decides to start a side project and prove to them that she can handle it. She has loved Cole since she was seventeen but he never made a move. She notices he is different since he quit his cop job, and he's been pushing her even farther away. Once he moves next door she decides to tease him every chance she gets until she can get him to give in. Cole has loved Piper for just as long but he doesn't feel as if he is good enough for her and she's also his best friend's youngest sister. I really enjoyed this one and how it fit into this series.

Cole has been in love with his best friend's little sister for years. He has also kept his distance and tried to keep her from caring about him. Cole has been through a serious trauma which caused him to have both emotional and physical scars. He is now working for his best friend, and is supposed to be keeping watch on Piper, the object of his desire.

Piper has been in love with Cole since she was a teenager, but he always made it clear that her feelings were not reciprocated. Now he is back in her life and she is going to try to make sure he understands that she cares about him and sees her as the independent adult she is.

This is one of those books where I liked both main characters a lot, but wanted to scream at both of them several times. Cole, especially. The guy has been through a lot, but when it comes to seeing himself clearly as well as the way others view him he is blind. Piper is sweet, caring, and easy to like. I definitely wanted her to have some confidence in herself and keep going after her own happiness. I loved watching her come into her own and fight for the job she loved and the man she loved. The chemistry between Cole and Piper was very hot. This was a quick enjoyable read even though I regularly wanted to scream "get your heads out of your asses and just love each other!".

<3 An awesome read!! I loved it. It's well written, interesting, romantic, emotional and intriguing story. I liked all the characters and writing style is also very good. I'll be recommending this book to all my friends.

Piper has been in love with Cole since she was seventeen years old. But to her dismay her big brother's best friend only thought of him as an annoyance. After trying to get his attention for so long she finally gave up. It is clear that they will never be together. Especially now, Cole has changed after his accident. He is more closed off than ever. And Piper is sure that he only barely tolerates her while she is still very much in love...

Cole has been attracted to his best friend's little sister for a long time and he feels guilty about it. Then he feels guilty about a lot of things, like how he caused his partner's death. He isn't willing to accept that it was an accident and that they were doing their jobs as cops. He can never let himself be happy again. Then he sees Piper and things start to change. It has been becoming more and more difficult for him to resist her. She is so beautiful and when they're forced together by the circumstances it is clear that they both are unable to control their desires and their love for each other...

It's sizzling hot novel, a must read for romance lovers.

Oh, I loved this one.

This is the third book in the series, and much like the previous ones, this was a great read.

This time we have Piper and Cole’s story. We saw then in the previous books, of course, and now we get their entire story.

So, they’ve both been attracted to each other for years, but for different miscommunications the other never knew… until now. The one who mostly fights the attraction is Cole, since he feels ‘less than’ in his eyes. Of course Piper doesn’t see him like that, and that creates trouble for these two. I really felt for Cole and his story, and even when I didn’t agree with his vision, I could understand where he was coming from. Guilt is so powerful, you can tell the person many times not to feel it, but they are the ones who have to see it.

I loved Piper’s treatment of Cole. She never once saw him as not worthy, quite the contrary, she always saw him as the perfect for her. No matter what. Loved these two and their journey with ups and downs, and the ending was just too damn perfect.

Great addition to the series, and I’ll be sure to read more of this author. :-)

My best friends sister type romance with a thriller component. This romance was sweet, sad (at times), funny and steamy. Piper has a support system in her family and friends that is enviable. She is a strong female who can take care of herself, but is also unsure and uncertain about herself when it comes to certain topics. Cole is dealing with a tough situation and doesn't trust or believe in himself. This story throws them together and we get to experience the ups, downs, fun and not so fun of their journey to be together. This is a fast read that I enjoyed greatly. It was the first time I had read anything by SG, but I plan on reading the other stories in this series and seeing if she has any other works available! I mean seriously though how cool a name is Axle Alley Vipers for a series? love it.

I loved this book, as I did the other 2 in this series. The West sisters have it all going on. Poor Piper, what that girl went through in this book. She's my favorite sister, so I'm a little partial. Cole, is a hottie but good Lord what a pain in the rear he was for Piper and between Cole and Piper's brother, the girl couldn't win. Cole couldn't get out of his own way with Piper. Poor guy. Piper is more than a handful, and damned determined to live by herself and take care of herself, even when things got creepy and get creepy they did. I think Sherilee writes a great story, the West sisters and their respective men are evidence of that. I loved the whole series. I'd recommend ready all three, even though this one is my favorite. There's some serious steam, great dialogue and a whole lot of love in these pages. Read it.

A scared hero and a lovely heroine. Piper finally has the place to herself and now she can finally try to figure out what she wants. Her over protective siblings (especially her older brother) have different idea. Enter our hero who tries to keep his distance (while overcoming self doubt) but just can't. There is great chemistry between the lead characters and the author excellently crafts situations that keep the reader engaged. Bottom line this final installment of the Axle Alley Vipers is well worth the read.

Wrecked by Sherilee Gray is Book 3 of the Axle Alley Vipers Series. OMG what a read! You will laugh, cry, get frustrated and angry at the characters, as well as fall in love with their story. I couldn’t put the book down until I was done...it was just that awesome! Such a well-executed delivery of the storyline and a writing style that you can’t help but enjoy. Ms. Gray has done an outstanding job of giving us the goodies with this undertaking. Thank you for such an incredible adventure.

This review of Wrecked by Sherilee Gray will never be able to express how much I loved this book. Gray is a new to me author, so I have not read the first two books in the Axle Alley Vipers series. Characters from the first two books are included in Wrecked , therefore it might help to read them first so the characters aren’t strangers. However, Wrecked can be read as a standalone without any major confusion.

I love books with strong female characters. Piper West is definitely one of those, She, her sister, and her best friend all own a car restoration business. This is not typical for females, so I automatically fell in love. Piper has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Cole Black, for a long time. What little sister hasn’t been in love with their brother’s best friend? Piper and Cole have a great back story that adds so much to this story. Cole was injured on the job and considers himself damaged. He doesn’t think he is worthy of Piper. Piper doesn’t care about his physical changes, she only cares about the man she grew up and fell in love with. When Cole is asked to keep an eye on Piper by her brother, he has no choice but to be around her and feelings begin to grow for them both.

I absolutely love this story line. I can relate to both of the main characters because I am a little sister and a car accident survivor that felt “damaged” for far too long, Gray did an amazing job with Wrecked and I can’t wait to read the first two books in this series.

Boy loves girl. Girl loves boy. Should be smooth sailing, right? Then why does everything feel so wrecked?

Piper, younger sister to Deacon and Rusty, best friend of Alex (Deacon's wife; see book one) and co-owner of West Restoration with Alex and Rusty (girlfriend of Reid; see book two) has been in love with Cole for years.

Cole, 5 years older than her and Deacon's best friend, has adhered to the man code though and not acted on their mutual attraction, going so far as to give Piper the impression she's just the little sister in his eyes. Oh, that is so far from the truth. Cole had a plan. He was a cop and once things fell into place according to his plan, he's going back home and getting his girl. No one will stop him...no one except himself.

Poor guilt ridden Cole. While on duty, he and his partner of five years, Adam, mutually agree to continue chasing a dealer. Yet, when they crash, resulting in Adam's death and scarring and other permanent injuries for Cole, he puts the brakes on his dream future, deciding he's not good enough for Piper and he doesn't deserve happiness because he killed Adam. *Survivor's guilt is a heck of a thing.* It doesn't help his guilt that Adam left behind a wife, Kate, and a young son, Davey. Two people that Cole had grown close to during he and Adam's partnership.

When Cole returns home and becomes the manager of West Security, Deacon's business, those who know him best can tell he's a changed man. The Cole they all know and love is gone and it doesn't seem like they can get him back. But little glimpses do peek through at times, usually when Piper is involved.

Piper is feeling like her partners doubt her restoration abilities, dealing with a real estate pain in the butt that wants her cottage, and determined to have Cole or let him go forever. She's always there with a helping hand for others, whether they're friends, family, or complete strangers. She truly is a sweetheart and Cole craves her, but doesn't feel he deserves her. It's obvious to us readers he also needs her.

When some one on one time leads to sexy times, Cole flat out says he wants her, but it can only be physical...he can't get emotionally involved, even though we, and he, know he already is. Piper, disappointed yet wanting whatever she can get from him, agrees. We all know where this is going to lead, right? *She's living the old Winger song "Headed for a Heartbreak. Yes, I'm showing my age with that reference, but it's a fantastic song and it fits here. Don't judge me. LOL**

Of course, they're both feeling the emotional connection while enjoying the heck out of the physical. They're steamy together and may just catch your Kindle on fire. But between hiding their relationship from those closest to them, Piper's insecurities regarding her abilities at the shop, and Cole's demons riding him anytime he gets a glimpse of happiness, it's going to be a bumpy journey. The slightest thing may send Cole out of alignment because of his guilt. *Are you noticing the car references I keep throwing in? I can't help it. She works on cars, his issues stem from a car accident...the review just begs for these type of references.*

So while Cole is living in the past, refusing to see he's wasting the second chance he was given, Piper is dealing with current troubles...two men that won't take no for an answer (for two completely different reasons), while watching the man she loves, the man she'd give anything for, struggle with his issues and continually keep her at a heartbreaking emotional distance.

Will Piper take charge of her professional life and demand she be treated equally? Will her newfound stalker catch her off guard? Will Cole realize he's going to lose the greatest thing to ever happen to him if he doesn't fully let her in? Or will he continue to tarnish Adam's memory by throwing away his chance at happiness, his life? Will Deacon accept that Cole and Piper belong together? Heck, first things first, will Cole accept that he and Piper belong together?

One-click now and find out. This is a good book with interesting characters and a solid premise. While it is the third and last of the series, I didn't feel at all lost without reading the previous two. I may at some point go back and read them though just to have the full picture in my head, but I don't feel it's a necessity to enjoy this story.
