Though written for younger readers, this book still fascinated me with the information it provided. My ten-year-old sister is reading it now after catching glimpses over my shoulder. It is about war, so there is deaths, bombings, and tragedy mentioned, but it is not dwelt on. Unless a child is very tenderhearted, it should be fine for them to read.

The stories of several individual animals who worked to save lives of those in battle was really fascinating! I enjoyed the whole short book.

This book is really good for children and even older ages to read about the history of animals in the past that joined the war.

It's a nice story and some of the stories I know already are about the bear who carries out heavy ammo and lived his life in the British zoo to take care of him

Great book! Although there are only 64 pages in this book, I learned a lot & was touched by the dedication of our animal friends.

On amazing fact I learned was that in Ancient Egypt sometimes lions were trained & used to attack enemy soldiers.

Great, short, easy read.
