What an unbelievably beautiful and deeply touching story of discovering that opening your heart and your life to others is most definitely worth the risk. We think we know what’s best for us and immerse ourselves completely in our dreams. Even though that’s not a bad thing, it can leave us short sighted in the end. Wonderful surprises and unimaginable gifts can be waiting for us if we will only widen our gaze and take hold of them instead of letting them slip through our fingers. Opening our ...more

This is the first book I have read by Elena and it most definitely will NOT be the last! Elena pulled at my heartstrings in this beautiful story.

*Possible spoilers*

The story starts with meeting the lovely Daisy, a flower shop owner. Daisy has many things to worry about with owning the Daisy Chain store she bought from her father. The biggest thing being the buyout offer from BWI, the suits taking over her community to build a high rise condo building.

Ben Wallace is trying to make his mark in

***** "Love Me, Love Me Not" by Elena Aitken.

"Love Me, Love Me Not," is one of several novels which are a part of the Remington series by Melissa Foster. After her five books in the series, there are an additional nine novellas written by different authors. This is one of those novellas.

Elena Aitken has written a wonderful and heartwarming novel about love at (almost) first sight; the value and importance of family; the meaning and importance of neighbors and fellow shop owners which make up a

I couldn't get enough of this story! From the very first page I was involved and wanted to just sit and read. I felt so bad for Daisy trying to be pushed out of her store, the one thing her Dad worked so hard to achieve for her and the one thing that Daisy really loved in life.
Ben is all business and just wants to build yet another high rise set of condos. What he doesn't understand is all of the people he is hurting in the process. When Ben and Daisy meet, sparks fly and they find each other

I absolutely loved Elena's story of Ben and Daisy, two kind hearted and caring people caught in a circumstance that puts them on opposing sides.

Both of them lost their mother and have only a father for emotional support. While Ben's father pushes him to excel in business and close deals, Daisy's supports her in whatever she wants to do and lets her make her own decisions, even when they are hard.

When Ben meets Daisy he finds the part of his heart that's been missing all those years just doing

I received an advance copy from the author for my honest review. I gave this book 5 stars. This is a really sweet story. I love that the author gives us the main characters both point of views. Elena Aitken, the author, does this with her books and I highly recommend that you read her other books. For this story, Daisy, who owns the flower shop, is such a strong character. She meets Ben and it's love at first sight. Ben, the business man and the one behind the buyouts of the small businesses in ...more

Daisy is the owner of a flower shop and one of the last holdouts fighting the sale of her shop to a developer. Ben is the real estate developer who is buying up all of the stores in her community to make room for a large condo development. They meet unexpectedly while Daisy is making a delivery of flowers to his sister. They are attracted to each other and go out for coffee to get better acquainted, never realizing they are on opposite sides of a very important issue. Follow their story and see ...more

This is my first time reading this author and I really loved the story. She really put a lot of emotion into it and made you feel as if you were right there experiencing everything with them. I really loved the couple in this story, I think that this novella fits right in to the Remmingtons from what I've read of the others so far.

I received an advanced copy of this book by the author for an honest review. Elena Aitken has done it again! I loved this book. The story is well-written and the characters are believable. Without giving too much away, it reminded me a little of You've Got Mail in that a small mom & pop shop is about to be taken over by a big development company, but things all work out in the end. Daisy and Ben are perfect for each other.

Flowers play a huge role in Love Me, Love Me Not. It was really neat how the theme of flowers was woven into many aspects of the story - from the title of the book, Daisy's name, her store name, and even how the store plays such an important role in the story. Flowers are even woven into how Ben uses flowers and the messages with them to give his apology and propose his solution to Daisy. I loved how the two meet over a flower delivery to Ben's sister and how Ben and Daisy both know what they ...more

Daisy is trying to hang on to her flower shop as the businesses around her are being bought up by a corporation set on replacing them with modern condos. Ben is the one in charge of the project and he's trying to prove something to his father. They meet, not knowing who the other is and fall for each other right away. While the writing is wonderful, I can't say I fully believe in their love at first sight. I liked Daisy (ironic, isn't it...a florist named was her dad's business and he ...more

Daisy is trying to keep everything together concerning her flower shop. Local businesses are moving out of the area because a big corporation is buying them out in order to build a new high rise condominium. With all of this going on the last thing she needs is a man in her life, but when Ben walks in that all changes. He is sexy, fun, open and it melts her heart to see how much he loves his sister.
They soon realize that their connection is real, but has happened faster than either of them

I absolutely loved the story of Daisy and Ben. Daisy is the owner of the Daisy Chain, a failing flower shop, and Ben is the owner of BWI Developments. His company is buying all the businesses in the neighborhood, so he can build WindStar, a fifty story building, which will house high-end condos. When Ben and Daisy meet for the first time, she's delivering Donna, Ben's sister, her weekly flower arrangement, it's instant attraction. She introduces herself as Jennifer because she doesn't want to ...more

Once again, Elena Aiken has written a wonder novella. This is a delightful story about Daisy who owns a flower shop in an area where a big real estate company is buying up all the area around it for new condos. You are drawn immediately to both main characters Daisy and the man she meets, Ben, and their lives. They go out and have a mutual attraction to each other. The story goes on in a great way with both characters richly developed and the problems each have as they go through their ...more

This was such a great little read. In typical Elena fashion, she brought two opposing characters together in a solid, working union. Of course there is always a catalyst and in this case, it was a biggie. I loved how Ben's sister was so loved and so influential despite her own obstacles. I love how she really enforced that her character's traits remained honest, even partial honesty can create problems but it's easier to forgive! I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a warm ray of ...more

I received and ARC of this book from the author and I was super excited to read this for one because I have no not read anything form her that I did not love and also because this was a novella from her. She did not disappoint and I quickly fell in love with Daisy and Ben and was cheering them on from the beginning. The level of love Ben has for Daisy is apparent form the beginning and intensify through the story.. Great short read!!

A really great story! Ben meets Daisy when he doesn't think he will ever meet someone that isn't after his money. Daisy is fixing to lose her flower shop to a major development company. Will Daisy still have the same feelings for Ben when she finds out he's behind the boy outs? Will he build something memorable or just another building complex to house people?

Elena Aitken always delivers a can't-put-down story. Daisy and Ben meet by chance. (Or is that fate?) They are both lonely and realize what they found in each other. But is it enough? They both have their own goals, and those create conflict. Can their love survive their differences? An absolutely enjoyable read!

What a great story. Daisy is a hardworking stubborn owner of a small flower shop, struggling to stay afloat. From page one Elena catches your attention and keeps it through the last page. She makes you believe in love and first sight and no matter what you can survive. This is a definite read whether you are an Elena fan or not.
