I read this Free Preview of Locket Full of Secrets by Dana Burkey in exchange for an honest review.

When I first read the blurb I was drawn by the suspense genre & because of the name itself as I am fascinated by lockets so of course I was interested by a story with a locket as an attraction & I'm glad!

Claire as a protagonist was sincere & believable, despite the Five Chapters I could easily relate to the type of person she is written to be.

Olena as a prominent character was mysterious, despite her brief appearance I could easily tell she was someone I wanted to read more about.

I absolutely loved the writing style that Dana Burkey has, it is my absolute favorite, light & flowing with an easiness that is hard to be found by authors who search more for making a gripping story rather than giving life to it & making it real which is what Dana Burkey has done here -- Given her story Life!

I loved the Russian essence that was placed in as well as the flashbacks, they made the whole story feel alive & gave the right amount of insight into Claire & Olena's friendship. The bathroom scene very well written, at first like most I am sure, I feared it was Olena but was glad it wasn't her.

Overall Review ::: Naturally Written, Believable Characters with Personality, Easy-Flowing Suspense, Great Preview ... Definite Recommending & In Serious Need of Continuation of the Whole Book! Thank you, Dana Burkey & Good Luck! Hoping for Your Success.

First and foremost this books makes me want to read the entire book, Locket Full of Secrets!! This looks at the first 5 chapter made me even more excited to see what is going to happen next! I really liked that we got to see a glimpse into all, and really see how intense and crazy things get! I was not expecting what happened, even in the first few chapters that we got to see. I have about a million unanswered questions, but I know that I will get to find out more when I read the whole book. I also read the synopsis for the whole book, so I am excited to meet this Steven person and see how he no doubt helps Claire. I am not at all sure where the book is going to go from here, but I cannot wait to read it and find out!!!!!

Oh, and I got this book for free on smashwords! It's always awesome when a free book turns out to be awesome!

I got this preview free from the author(although she said it is also on smashwords).

I have to say this has me really looking forward to reading more. There was a lot of descriptions and back story being covered in a way that did not feel over done. I feel like I know both Claire and Olena pretty well now, although I feel like Olena has a LOT more to show the readers. This book will be great for high school readers and some YA readers who are okay with action and intense situations. When the book comes out I will absolutely be heading to Amazon to get a copy! Well done Dana Burkey on a book so different from your other series!

I was going to give this 4 stars, but I can't! I love Dana too much to give anything less than 5!!!!

The one reason I was going to go with 4 stars is becasue this was a little scary!! I mean, as the cover image shows there's some blood and stuff! So that was a little bit much for me, since I don't read books like that a lot. But it wasn't too bad. I think it's just a little too old for me right now. I might read the whole book that is is from when I am in high school!! For now I'm reading the cheer books again that Dana wrote since they are the best and I haven't read them since I was doing stuff here on Good Reads!!!!
