Love what's the books says (well, these are not the exact wording, just my interpretation) :

What I want to know about a possible hire:

1. What value to you add?

2. Why should I care?

If the cover letter tells me that in two paragraphs or less, I'll likely read your resume/CV.

And that's what helped me land the job as a paper writers editor.

Thank you R H Beatty for the awesome book!

Numerous assumptions left unsupported--mostly anecdotal.
