I was prepared to be enlightened, but sadly nothing new here that distinguishes this as a book addressing issues specifically to women. For example, in addressing the Power of Belief, it appeared to be a rehash of Think and Grow Rich. In another section, she asserts that if you are suppressing anger, "medical studies have shown the cells in your body become smaller." Really? And her advice: scream into a pillow. Take a deep breath. In the chapter on forgiveness, she minimizes the process most of us need to go through in order to release deep anger and grief, and then just admonishes the reader to "let it go." The section on creativity offers a few techniques to connect with your inner creative self. For a more constructive approach, including daily exercises, check out The Artist Way by Julia Cameron. If you want more information on the power of intuition, I refer you to Promptings by Kody Bateman, a much more detailed account of how intuition can guide action.
The book could have been significantly improved with more stories, or "social proof." Where are the examples from her clients that her techniques work? All in all it is pretty dry reading, with very little in the way of action steps to guide the reader to more success.

Erica's husband Jeff Combs was my success coach for a few years when I started in the sales industry in 2009 and I know how sharp both Jeff and Erica are when it comes to working with people and in sales.

Though Erica and Jeff work a lot in an industry I am not involved in (network marketing) the skills taught are useful in all aspects of the business world. Having started a traditional business myself this year I have been seeking tools of the trade that are specifically focused on female entrepreneurs. There are not that many. This is a field that is sorely missing by and large.

Erica's book touches on two things: women in power and what that looks like (not commonly practiced by women as our society doesn't nurture this concept for women as autonomous power) and how this individual power looks in the context of running your own show in the "world of free enterprise".

One of the biggest takeaways that Erica teaches is the importance of your energy exchange as a woman owner. As she states "the most important commodity in a business plan is YOU! Are you ready to see what the free market will bear in return for your energy? If your answer is yes it is time to release your perfection and move into production. It is time to stop buying into your circumstances and claim your power to create your experiences!" Keeping the ideas of yourself front and center is important in business as so many women are givers to the point of not keeping who they are in check. In addition Erica talks a lot about emotional autonomy and how in the world of being an entrepreneur you get paid for results not time so posture and being resilient are key.

Fantastic book, really. I recommend to all women who work a life of 100% commission for themselves. Not having a paycheck to float you along requires an entirely different mentality and energy exchange with life and this book will help give you tools to help in your success.

Okay - I know I am not a woman - but I read all of Jeffrey Combs' books - so naturally - I had to read his wife's books too. Erica and Jeffrey are very good at what they do. I found them because I decided to start a Network Marketing endevour. I admire the concept of Network Marketing - but unfortunately, it did not work out so well for me. Regardless of the fact, Erica Combs did a wonderful job of empowering people in this book.

Some examples I highlighted in the book:
1. You are exactly where you are supposed to be in life right now, transitioning to where you desire to be; a masterpiece in progress.
2. Say to yourself, " I fully accept myself exactly as I am and feel good about who I am becoming."

She goes on to talk about the difference between Words of Resistance and Words of Ease.

Definitely worth taking a look at. Enjoy.
