Great compact history of Central Florida. Book is already a bit outdated as it was published almost 20 years ago. But still very interesting and good read.

Superb, entertaining look at the history of Orlando and its neighboring cities, told with a historian's eyes for not just chronologies but anecdotes and tales of the people and environs. One of my favorite books recalling the birth and growth of my adopted hometown.
