My Review:
Just My City Boy reminded me of an old fashion classic movie in the way that the story read. I even imagined the it in black and white in the beginning; the story was melancholy until Lauren and Zack managed to come together as a couple, and then color started seeping through the cracks.
What I Loved: Lauren was incredibly outgoing, chatty and most of the time just a riot. I loved how she talked herself out of bad situations. Her confidence was refreshing as it's not a character trait o ...more

I just finished this great book from a new-to-me author. I definitely enjoyed this quickie read. There was enough drama to keep me turning the pages. My heart went out to the main characters and there was so many times that I felt sad for them and wished I could give them a hug! Other times I couldn't help but smile. Only fault I can bring forth is that they fell in love so quickly but this isn't the first book to have that and certainly won't be the last. I look forward to reading more from thi

Another goody from this author. This one's an clean NA romance novella. About 183 pages, which I feel is quite long for a novella, no arguement here though. It is a stand alone to my knowledge. This seemed like it was gonna be a cute romanctic romp at first then things started to get serious. Really, I don't know what I expected when the first scene is a stick up. When a book is this small I don't expect to become close to the characters but on this one I did. The symptoms of PTSD are explained

"Never be ashamed to ask for help. It's wonderful to be able to do things for yourself, but there will always come a time when you need a hand up. It's okay to ask. Then people know what to do to help you."
I did not plan on reading this yet. I was just suppose to check a few pages to get a feel of the story but those few pages were enough to pull you in. The way the story started was quite unique. Sweet and southern, and quick qitted Lauren is almost held up one night on her way home from work. a night she didn't really want to just head on home anyway. Zack is having issues, trying to find his way and having a really hard time acclimatizing to the run of the mill day. He decides to take the one way ticket to anywhere but here, and tries to rob sweet Lauren.
