Reread February 2019

These two are definitely one of my favorite couples. I really hope we get more of them in the future.

Reread June 2018

I just love these two.

Originally read October 2017

This is a short novella and the continuation of Gregori’s and Juan’s story. I love these two and I’m looking forward to more. But that damn Stan! I am so f’n tired of him. I wish someone would take him down a notch or two!

In the second spin-off from the ‘Sumeria’s Sons’ series that focuses on Magi/Lycan Gregori and his lover, the Lycan Juan, I was happy to see more of their lives together. I was not happy to see their romance threatened, as it has barely started (see ‘A New Beginning’). But how can I resist a story set in one of my very favorite worlds? Plus I figure it’s a good way to get me in the mood for the release of the next book in the main series a few days from now—‘Surrounded by Crimson’—not that I rea ...more

I liked another look into Gregori and Juan’s world. They have been a little off and unsure of themselves and their budding relationship so seeing them right themselves was great. I like Juan as a character. He is so laid back and the perfect partner for Gregori.
It’s also nice to see both the power of Corey and Gregori, especially Corey as you don’t see it a lot during the books, as Tristan’s power takes over.
Stan is annoying to me and I hope he gets his head out of his butt or someone p

Have to admit I'm a fan of Sumeria's Sons and that was the only reason I downloaded Sumeria's Magi. "A New Beginning" was a nice addition but not much more than a comment to some characters of the original series with the same sensual atmosphere. Gregori and Juan became more interesting but it was just too short to really show characters I can make a connection to. That is changing now because the balance between both MC is changing: Gergori shows that he's more than the soft person while Juan g ...more

Poor Gregori and Juan. We learned some of why Gregori doesn't allow many close to him but I hoped with Juan, he'd finally opened up. But Stan is being a real jackwagon about his past with Gregoiy which we get a closer look at what happened and how much the preceding event with Karen and then the sex with Stan hurt Gregori in the end.

But ever since that unwinding of a spell by Tristan, Stan has been acting like a fool which has made Juan give Gregori space thinking that's what he needed, but it h

This story gave me even more reasons to despise Stan. Although it's a half book, it reveals much new information relating to Gregori that may prove necessary to the overall story.

I loved Gregori and Juan together and can't wait for more of their future to be revealed.

I’m not gonna do the usual rundown since this is a short story and the blurb explains it well. This is another peek at Gregori and Juan and expands on their growth relationship. This one is after Dreams forgotten and yet another battle. I loved this. I love the insight in even more of Gregori and Juan since this tells both men’s views. I also like that it shows a little more of Stan and Gregori’s past relationship. I love the way this author sows such sensuality and strength in her characters a ...more

For a short story, this was excellent. Juan and Gregori again, this time it starts with Juan's point of view. Angst builds up between the two's budding relationship when an old flame moves in on Gregori. Good angst, tension, and action all around. Strong and powerful writing, and like the title says..there is fire between these two. Loved it!

Lexi has always been an avid reader and at a young age started reading (secretly) her mother’s romances (the ones she was told not to touch). She was the only teenager she knew of who would be grounded from reading. Later, with a pencil and a note book, she wrote her own stories and shared them with friends because she loved to see their reactions. A Texas transplant, Lexi now kicks her boots up i ...more
