Oh my glory! What another deliciously sweet treat Mina has cooked up for us - AGAIN! Taken by the Billionaire Werewolf by Mina Carter is the first release in her Paranormal Badboy Billionaire Werewolf Romance Series and it totally rocks. This is a short quick read with a happy for now ending and definitely packs quite the punch! The story is exciting, thrilling, romantic, sensual and arousing. The dialogue is well written and flows beautifully. The characters are captivating, engaging and sexy as sin. Ou-La-La!!! Mina has brilliantly combined these elements into an enchanting paranormal romance. Up until three weeks ago, beautiful Eva Tennant had never had a problem with stress, and panic attacks were something that only happened to other people. She had always been an independent and self sufficient woman who made her own way in the world of business. Maybe not big business but she certainly rocked the world of cupcakes, parties and weddings. And now because of one stupid decision by her younger brother, Davie, she could lose her home, her business, her savings - everything she's ever worked to have but worst of all, Davie could lose his life. Apparently her little brother had taken money and made a deal with some vampires. He lost their money and couldn't repay them, and it was left up to her to do something about it - today! The most enjoyable of Mina Carter's werewolf shorties to date. We're back in Veyr's (the lycan overlord) city, but this time he merely makes a cameo appearance; this is the story of one of his pack alphas and the human female he's been pining for since he was a teenager.
Eva Tennant's brother is in trouble with the vampires and has been marked for death. In order to save him, he will have to repay the money he owes them. Unfortunately he is broke and the only man who could possibly come up with the money is Alex Kingwood, CEO and son of one of her ex-stepfathers.
As it happens, Alex has never forgotten the luscious woman his father forbade him to pursuing, but now Alex is in charge. His wolf has been stalking his prey for years, and now it's time to pounce. The terms for his help: Eva. In his bed. For as long as he wants...

Mina has some special talent... she gives us an alpha, some sass, a wee bit of jealousy and even some snarkiness. All wrapped up in a sexy quick read.
Alex he came from money but he also knows how to make money. He is a great businessman and knows what to do with an good opportunity comes his way. Eva she knows what its like to live with money and more so what its like to not live with it. When you're one of three family members that actually have a job and money coming in. Well when her brother does something stupid, she will go to the only person that could help her. Eva is ready to give him everything if only he helps her.
"I dont want you house, your savings or your business"...
Just hot enough to have you fanning your face wishing you were Eva. (smile). If you have a series the best way to enjoy it.. is have old characters doing cameo's. Pretty awesome. I love Eva's bit of sass and Alex's strength. I hope to hear more of these two at some point. Loved it... recommend it and .... Enjoy

This is another HOT short story by Mina Carter. Eva’s brother can’t stay out of trouble. She finds out that he has gotten involved with some vampires and it is not good. Getting involved with vampires is never good, especially if you are human. The vampires told Eva that she needs to pay them or they will kill her brother and send her the parts. She has no choice but to go to Alex the sexy alpha werewolf for help. She has always crushed on Alex while growing up when her mother was married to the ex-alpha. Alex is surprised when Eva comes to him for help, he offers her a deal. He will handle the vampires and the only thing he wants in return is her. If you are looking for a hot short story, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

A hot, sexy werewolf short story. The heroine's mother used to be married to the hero's uncle. He was a bit older, but he was her crush as a teenager. He's a werewolf and she's human. He's a billionaire, she owns a successful business. Her brother has gotten into dangerous trouble with some vampires, and maybe he can help pay them off, so she asks for help. She thinks she'll get a large loan, enough to pay off her brother's debt to the vampires, but he has other ideas. What our heroine doesn't know is that the werewolf is interested in her.
It was a good story, and I especially liked seeing the Master of the City for a few moments, but I wish that we got to the point where they tell each other their true feelings for each other before we hit the cliffhanger. Now I have to bite my fingernails until a continuation is released.

Wowza.. Alex is one sexy as sin alpha male! He can make me his any day! Another very fast and scorching read from Mina Carter. I love the appearance from other characters from previous books. This can be read completely as a stand-alone.
I loved both Eva and Alex. She's a very headstrong and independent woman but needs Alex's help and agree's to becoming "his" in order for him to help save her brother. Which isn't really a hardship on her part. She did have feelings for him in the past and figured this would be a great outlet.
Alex comes off ass an ass but we do learn that he's also harbored feelings for Eva for all of these years and is using this as an opportunity to get her out of his system. Or so he thinks. Both are stubborn and really explosive together.
I can't wait for more!

I can not wait to see where this story goes. The story line captured my attention in the first paragraph and held it all the way through. I loved how she added the Master of the City back into this story. Mina always seems to know how to write characters that you want to see win out in the long run. Stereotypically Good
If you like Mina Cater's growly men, you'll like this story. It's a typical lycan-human romance with character's to proud to have an actual conversation about their feelings (emotional IQ's of a mouse) but that's what makes this genre fun to read. All-in-all if you want a quick fun sexy read this story foots the bill, you'll like it if you're looking for something sexy with only a hint of story.

This series started out so good! I love when Mina writes the aloof alpha who acts like he doesn't care but really does. But I see our girl in this series being strong, yet fragile... Another Hot Werewolf story from Mina Carter! She always delivers!
Short but wow is it packed with lots of sexy dialog and a sexy, alpha werewolf who is very noble...he checks all of my boxes! And a sassy, strong heroine that I really liked! With a HEA for now. I love this series!

Eva and Alex. A serial. I read the first 3 and they were OK but the 3rd was disappointing. Both Eva and Alex start out as strong characters. Alex and Eva knew each other from when they were younger. Her mother had an affair with his uncle. Eva was kept to the sidelines at the time, because they were human and Alex and his family are wolves high up in the hierarchy of wolves. Now Eva comes to Alex for help when her no-good younger brother gets in deep doo-doo with a gang of vampires. Alex plays it pretty cool like your usual alpha a-hole, but he actually cares more than even he knows, about Eva. There's politics and some decent world building that builds on the stuff from her last serial about the Master of the city. It's entertaining and all is cool for me til Eva's TSTL moment in the 3rd book. She makes up for it somewhat but I was disappointed. Maybe the intrigue would have been better if less page time had been spent in sex??? I must admit I skimmed most of the sex.... I did like that there wasn't a whole lot of 'moral high-hat' like some books where the h begs for mercy on behalf of the evil doers.

Great book. Right to the point. The h is a funny bbw that owns a cupcake shop. The H is a sexy as hell alpha of a werewolf clan. The book is funny and full of sexual tension.
There is only one sex scene at the end but it's hot and the tension leading up to it primes it up. 3/5. It's detailed but short.
Tho this is a very short book you still connect with the H/h and the story.

I absolutely loved Eva and Alex's passionate clash and man was it ever!
After years of not seeing each other Eva is forced to seek the help of her very rich ex stepbrother due to the not too smart dealings by her birth brother... She used to have a crush on him as a teenager, but when she gets a look at Alex Kingston now, she is completely blown away.

This was actually rather sweet! Not at all what I was expecting.
I totally could have read something double or triple the length and still really enjoyed it. I think I like this writing style and just the sweetness??? Haha very fun.

I wanted something short to read that wasn't mind-numbingly terrible, and this did the trick. Eva was nice. Alex was alright. I do want to know why smutty books really like the names Eva and Alex so much. This is the second romance novel in five months or something I read where that's their names. Oh well.
I'm kind of interested to see where this is going, but not too invested in it. In short, for me, it was just alright.

Taken by the Billionaire Werewolf (Kingwood Pack, #1) by Mina Carter is a 42 page Erotic Paranormal Romance. It is Amazing what a good writer can do with just 42 pages! I enjoyed it so much that I checked to see how much #2 & #3 are. Only .99 each! It says 'Turned' is 43 pages and 'Mated' is 70 pages. So all three books is under 3$ total. If the other 2 books are as well written as this one it will be well worth every penny spent and every minute spent reading it.
Yep, I am so getting the other 2 books as soon as I am done with this review.
Ms. Mina Carter did not waste a single word. You love Eva immediately and her character gets better with each and every word. No whinny, stick thin, naive virgin here! Thank God!!
Alex is hot and steamy, and you get to see his way of thinking right along side Eva's.
Sumptuously hot, steamy and SAUCY sexy!

I am admittedly not a huge fan of shorts. Most times the stories have holes the size of Texas and the authors expect the reader to take giant leaps of the imagination as if we were privy to the inside workings and motivations of the author's mind. Except for Mina Carter. Her stories may be short, but they are addictive and tell a story you can't and don't want to put down. It is refreshing to read of a bbw heroine who is not afraid or self conscious of the fact that she's got curves. As a formerly obese woman who is proudly curvy, I say "You go girl!" Not every curvy woman has image problems. Some of us happen to enjoy the curves what God gave us even if we're not a size 2.
Alex is a drool-worthy Alpha, strong and in charge, he knows what he wants but unlike most alphas we read about he actually considers sending her away instead of asserting his authority. The whole I'm the Alpha what I say goes gets so tiresome sometimes. Knowing Eva is his and they have a deal she has too much honor to back down from, he still considers not forcing her to follow through on her end. Can we say keeper?
I absolutely loved this short. Eva is confident and caring, Alex is hot and brooding. The only surprising turn in this short is that an Alpha such as Alex managed to stay away from Eva for so many years knowing how badly he wanted her. I can't wait for the next installment!

Eva has always known Alex was a werewolf. After all her mother was married to Alex's uncle before her mother messed that up. When Eva's troubled brother gets into business with a bunch of vampires, he gets in over his head and Eva has to bail him out. The problem is she doesn't have the money to do it. She is forced to go to the one person who can help her....Alex. They have not seen each other since her mother's divorce and both are shocked at seeing the other. Eva has grown into a woman with a successful cupcake business. Alex has grown into the rich alpha werewolf he was meant to be. When Eva asks for Alex's help, he agrees on one condition.....she submits to him for as long as he wants.
The book is a novella so a quick read. The reader is given a quick introduction into Eva and Alex's history. The story is a good read but does leave quite a few unanswered questions. When Alex leaves his apartment in a business suit and comes home in shredded clothes....what happened? Where did he go? What exactly is the deal with Eva's brother. I thought the story could have benefited from being a little longer with more back story on the brother's situation and more information on some of the other "happenings" in the book.

What When Where Who Wait Whaaaat So this is actually my first read by Mina Carter. It started good and the characters were definitely interesting. Veyr was kinda of awesome so I searched for his book and put it on my to read list on the spot. Things were just getting started when BAM this thing just ended. I understood the note about this being HFN and this is my first time coming across something like a HFN but I don't know .. it was way too short and just ended out of nowhere so I can't really say I enjoyed it because it ended right where things were getting interesting. I will check more books by this author but I'll definitely be avoiding the HFN ones .. I don't feel like I got anything out of this but to be fair I'm pretty sure I would have loved it if it was a full length book.

In Taken by the Billionaire Werewolf by Mina Carter, human Eva asks a favor of werewolf Alex Kingwood. Alex has secretly lusted after Eva for years so now that he is the head honcho of his pack, he is going to take the opportunity Eva presents and keep her with him. Alex is Eva's ex-cousin. I was slightly disappointed with this ;-). I was hoping Mina would have joined the step-brother bandwagon and made Alex her step-brother, lol but ex-cousin works too.
I want to say this is my favorite of the series but then I am sounding like a broken record because I say that about each new story in this series, lol. Each one just gets better and better...which is hard to say because I still think Master of the City is pretty awesome. Highly Recommend!
