I have mixed feelings about this one. It bothers me that Papa Bear often looks like a passive dolt. He has good moments too, but I wish they'd make him a more engaged father in the religious series. I liked how they talked about other activities being a lot less important than attending church...but evidently, keeping the Sabbath Day holy got forgotten altogether, because once they pay dues at church, they're right back to the other activities...as if Sunday were any other day.

The Berenstain Bears use to be a staple in my daughter's book collection. And now I am adding them to my collection for my grand children. But better still, there is a new series of Berenstain Bears. It is the Living Lights titles that I am showing here. Now that loveable family of bears can also show how they have grown into this supportive moral family. From 'Giving Thanks' to 'Christmas Tree', this is a pack that I want to use during the holiday season.
The first Berenstain Bear book was published in 1962 (a year before I was born) under the oversight of Dr. Seuss. Now that is a great mentor to have. Parents Stan and Jan started this series and now their son Michael has joined the team. Michael grew up watching his parents create their magazine cartoons and later the Berenstain Bears books.
Michael Berenstain is now working with his mother bringing this classic series to a new generation and with a new spin. When Berenstain found Christ, he also found his mission: to reveal the much-loved bear family’s faith in an original series. Zonderkidz has released the following titles in the series thus far, many of which are already becoming classics:

What a wonderful this story is and so true to many a family life. The Berenstain Bears have always been wonderful, but the Go to Sunday School story is a great one to share and explain to family how great going to church and Sunday School can be, even for a bear. :)

I highly recommend this story for families, especially those with kids ages 4-7. This and all the other Berenstain Bear books, especially the newest ones coming from Mike Berenstain, son to the creators Jan and Stan. How busy is your life? Can you find time for church and Sunday School as a family?

The words on some of the pages were such small print and the size of the font was not adjustable and very difficult to see to read. We loved the story!

Read this one to my cousin as well! She loved the illustrations! I can't wait until she's able to read them on her own! This one had me really excited because I'd never read this story before!
