I wish I'd uncovered this book years ago. It is filled with so many nuggets. We all encounter slumps. This book will teach you how to handle them. Great read! I'll probably read it, again.

If taken alone, I don't find this overly helpful. There are some good points in here but it doesn't have much depth to it. Maybe it's not supposed to.
True point:
1. take action - do something over sitting.
2. mini vacation - change of scenery can help you clear your head
3. what you listen to and read matters.
4. renewal is necessary

There is a lot of repetition in the book but if it helps you see that you are able to get out of any slump you are in, then maybe it is good for you to read.

Really loved this short read. I have the personality type that falls into slump easy and often. This book gives you clear things to look for that signal slump. Then gives you a step by step process of getting out and becoming better than you were before the slump hit. I really like the promoting of getting away for a couple of days and diving into good books and audios.

In the face of a slump its important to have a plan in place to pull ourselves out. This book explains in detail each rung of the ladder that will help us successfully climb out of our respective slumps! "Any serious commitment is challenging. This was an 'ok' read - One of the downfalls of the Life Leadership Essentials series is that the authors seem obligated to frequently quote and reference the founders of the company. Not necessary. We read the books - find authors from other areas. Help us find and discover other gems.

A good book. Not earth shattering, however it is a good, solid read. If I were to compare it to a meal, it would be a good helping of meat and potatoes.

"Slumps come for a very important reason: They are telling you that something needs to change."

1. Take massive action! Waiting is the worst case scenario - inaction makes a slump worse. it's easier to steer a moving car in the right direction than a stopped car. "Quit losing and get moving!"
2. Go on a 2 day vacation - get out of tour usual daily rut that has you feeling slumped. For this vacation, fill your mind with a non-stop stream of positive talks and don't forget to throw in some real fun and excitement.
3. When you come back, come back empowered, positive, and focused on your dreams/goals/calling. Continue listening to positive audios and reviewing your dreams on a daily basis to maintain the energy and focus.
4. Avoid all addictive/escapist behaviors! Porn, alcohol, drugs or electronic distractions like TV, Facebook, video games, news, YouTube, music, Netflix binges, online surfing/commenting, eating, etc
