Holy shit what a book!! I devoured this one!!!!
I hadn't read anything by Kate Roth before, I've heard great things so when I saw the opportunity to read and review Last Resort I jumped at the chance. And the results blew me away. Seriously, I read A BUNCH of books, but this book will be one that isn't easily forgotten.
Last Resort is well written with a story line I've not read before. Just imagine going to a "sex resort" and running into your celebrity crush?! That is exactly what happens to Danielle, she meets her celebrity crush Evan Weston(that name just screams pure sexy) and sparks fly between them. Danielle has a little issue with being able to have sex, she just freezes up and hasn't done the deed in six years.
At first Evan is only after sex, that is until he hears her story. Then it becomes him wanting to help her "situation" but he wants to make it worth her while. So while she's there, he treats her like gold. Danielle can't seem to get out of her own head to get anywhere and Evan knows exactly what she needs. So he takes his sweet time with her and gets her to open up some. And those results are EXPLOSIVE.
My favorite quote:
"You know you're too uptight when you can manage a charley horse in your pussy."
Last Resort is a quick read, I had it finished in just under 2 hours. I couldn't stop reading it, I absolutely loved everything about this book. I'm anxiously awaiting book 2 to get more sexiness that is Evan Weston....oh and Danielle too. :)

Kate Roth first won me over with her teacher/student romance in The Low Notes. Then I had some fun with an office romance in Natural Harmony. AND THEN. Then she brought Evan Weston into my life. Romance readers the world over will never be the same. A cocky, confident, dirty-talking Hollywood star, Evan is the lead in Last Resort, the first book in Roth’s Desire Resort series. Last Resort is sexy, playful, and even a little bit tender, and the story was one that’s not to be missed.
Where to start with this book? Kate Roth puts a new twist on a familiar storyline with this novel. I thought I knew what I could expect from this story when I read the blurb, but Kate takes you on an unexpected ride throughout these pages.
While Last Resort starts out as a fun and sexy romp, the reader gets a feel that there is more than meets the eye to Evan and Dani. It’s the hidden depth that really held onto me throughout the book. Of course, I enjoyed the entire story immensely, but Kate really grips the reader with that anticipation of what’s underneath.
Her characters are fun, a little quirky, and most of all, REAL. As Dani and Evan’s story evolves, Roth’s writing makes you feel like you are truly experiencing the story, rather than just reading about a series of events. You almost feel as if you’re a guest at Desire Resort (and seriously, how fun would THAT be?!?!?)
Now, as much as I profess my love for Evan, I’ve got to be honest, I didn’t warm up to him right away…I loved his swagger, but I was wary of him. I didn’t understand his motives entirely, and wasn’t sure where we were headed with him. But the journey to Evan-land is SERIOUSLY fun! And once I got there, I didn’t want to leave!
He’s hot, right? Wait til you read some of his dirty-talking ways. YUM. I’m glad I have two kindles, because I needed one to fan myself while reading the love scenes in this book! While poor Dani may have had issues in the bedroom before, once she and Evan get together, things are A-OK! The two of them are COMBUSTIBLE.
I do feel the need to warn you, however, you WILL need your copy of Best Laid Plans after you’re finished with this book. TRUST ME.
Kate Roth takes a fresh and original story, adds a splash of a lively secondary cast, tosses it in a shaker with some tropical paradise, and tops the whole thing off with an umbrella of sensual heat, and you’ve got the fabulous cocktail that is Last Resort. I’m so excited to see where Evan and Dani end up in Best Laid Plans! I know there’s a lot more to their adventure. Check back for my thoughts!

Wow wow wow...my lady parts are tingling after reading this new book by Kate Roth...I mean seriously, this is now my favorite book from her after The Low Notes, which also got 5 stars from me!
Danielle has not had sex in a looong time...cobwebs are forming in her nether regions and she feels like she is destined to never experience the big O ever with another human present. Enter a friend with a plan and she finds herself at a wilder version of an adults only beach resort...all the food, drink and sex you can eat for a week. What's a girl to do who has not been able to finish the deed and really doesn't know if she wants to? Latch onto an older couple to pal around with, drink a lot of tequila and avoid saying "Hi" or "Ok" to anyone.
So along comes Evan Weston...hot movie star who is spending his "last" week at the resort...and the kiss to end all kisses that makes Danielle seriously re-think her no sex plan.
I'm not going to tell you anymore...nope, this book is too delicious and fun...you have to read it and just enjoy the hedonistic pleasure for yourself.
Can you have sex without love or love without sex? You may or may not find out in this tasty little gem of a story but DAMN...fair warning...it ends on a cliffhanger...UGH...hate it when that happens and I'm so invested in a couple I don't get an HEA right away.
LOVED this book so much and didn't want it to end. Now my only question is where the hell can I find a place like this and where do I sign up??

Danielle hasn’t had much luck in the sex department in YEARS. After he last boyfriend dumped her she ended up drinking too much and booking a nonrefundable trip to an adult only resort. Regretting the trip as soon as she gets there, she decides to muddle through it and at least drink and soak up the sun and along the way she meets a sweet couple who takes her under their wing. A drunken kiss with a well-known celebrity changes everything. Evan remembers the girl he kissed when he was drunk, seeks her out and after finding out why Danielle is really at the resort, he wants to make sure he is the one to help her with her issues. This is Evan’s LAST visit to the resort and this is Danielle’s LAST resort, they have a wonderful adventurous stay but will it end or will it LAST? Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!

Evan Weston is the hottest playboy actor in Hollywood to date. He always has a different model on his arm. He was looking for one last woman at Desire Resort and then he wouldn't be back, he is changing his ways.
Evan and Danielle have a chance meeting in the hallway. Where will that take them when she knows leaves in a few days.

What would you do if, while on vacation at a SEX resort, you saw a famous hearthrob??
Well, that's EXACTLY what has happened to Danielle. She's decided it's time for a break and needs a relaxing vacation (well, maybe alcohol was involved in this decision) and just be away from the world. She needs a break from any and all pressures of sex, she's not exactly enthused to be at a couple's only sex resort - but it is in a tropical location and luxurious!
Evan is a very well-known actor, and is visiting the resort for his "last" time, but his reputation precedes him.
Could it be true that each person has their perfect counter-balance out there? Is it possible to find your other half at a Sex Resort?
I really enjoyed this book, I read it one sitting! The chemistry is great, the characters are like-able, and the STEAM is off the charts.
I need to know what happens!!!

5 Fabulous Stars!
How have I never heard of this series before? I was alerted to this amazing series when I read Mistletoe and Hollywood. Natasha Boyd said I should read it, well if she said so I guess I’ll try it. What a treat was in store for me.
Meet Danielle Ward, she hasn’t had sex in over six years, oh she’s been on dates, she just hasn’t been past third base. In fact her last boyfriend who tried hitting home plate, ended up finishing by himself, while she finished a level in Candy Crush, locked in the bathroom. Now that’s romance!!
So she has decided she’s going load up her credit card for one week and head done to Desire Resort. No one said that you make wise decisions when drinking with your best friend. Now that her brain is less intoxicated she has decided that this is the worse idea that she has ever had.
So what’s a girl to do, she drowns herself in some Margaritas and she shares her story with a couple she met there. While waiting for a round of drinks she overhears some girl saying that none other than Evan Weston is staying at their resort. Obviously she’s hearing things, so she shrugs it off until..
Stunned by the man in front of me, my feet locked on the ground. He lost the smile and that’s when I drank in the vision of him. His hair was the way I liked it, shorter on the sides and longer on top, making him look debonair but not stuffy. In the dim glow of the lamps that lit the walkway, I could see his hair had lightened in the sun and along his jaw there was a hint of stubble just begging to be touched. He took a step toward me and I felt my knees buckle and my eyes start to gloss over from not blinking.
Where is this resort and why am I not there? So now that she has seen that "the" Evan Weston is at the resort, she is kind of on cloud nine. Imagine her surprise when she shows up to the omelet station the next day and none other than Mr. Weston is standing behind her. Does it get better than this? Yes, yes it does, because not only has he shown up to have breakfast with her, he wants her. What!!! Of course, she takes off and leaves him by himself, because I’m thinking she’s in shock, there has to be no other reason! Surprise number two, she finds out he knows about her “situation” and has a situation of his own. You see Mr. Weston often visits this resorts, but has decided this is his last time there.
So now Evan wants her to be his last, and he wants to be the cure for her condition. So what do you do when a super star tells you he wants to help you with your problem? I don’t know what you would do, but I can tell you that I would be asking for a pen to sign the contract, but that’s me.
“So we should shake on it or something?” I asked.
Evan’s hand rose and slipped behind my neck, causing me to flinch. “A deal like this is better sealed with a kiss, don’t you think?” he said, pulling me to him easily.
Now she’s ready for this adventure. Not only will she finally be having sex, she’s having sex with a freaking super star. I would be twittering this thing, but she doesn’t, it doesn’t even faze her that he is a super star, for her he is just Evan.
My hands moved without my full permission and slid the sunglasses off his head, setting them on the waterlogged ledge of the infinity pool. My fingers moved through his hair and his eyes drilled into me. I pushed against him and planted a kiss on his lips, finally unashamed of our closeness, unfazed by the absurdity of the situation, and truly uninhibited for the first time in a long damn time. His arms clutched my body to his and I reveled in the weird, the normal, and every bit in between.
They have this “relationship” except at the end of the week, neither is ready for the other to go and can’t say goodbye. And just when you think everything will be ok, his past comes back to bite him in the ass. It seems if you’re a man whore, your conquests come back and they aren’t really nice about being a notch in your belt.
Danielle knew his past was lengthy but she didn’t know that it would be in her face, and she can’t deal with it. This isn’t what she signed up for, except Evan, well he just wants to be with her. Danielle Ward has not had sex for six years, she is practically virgin because her first time was so quickly and wrong. She has had dates and boyfriends but never sex. After a break up with his boyfriend, she decides go to a sexy resort in Mexico, with an only goal: have sex!
Evan Weston is a hot movie actor, he doesn't do relationship, only has random hook up, usually goes to the Divine Resort for escaping of the paparazzi and having sex with no string attached.
Danielle could be the last hook up in the resort for Evan, and he could be the first one for reall, for Danielle.
This is my second book of Kate Roth, I read Natural Harmony on January and I really enjoyed, so when Mrs Roth started her temptation with this book I didn't resist and asked for an arc... Jeez it totally worth it.
I was dragged in the Desire Resort & Spa in body and soul, but specially in body ;) I breathed the sexy atmosphere in the place, I was witness of the seduction between Danielle and Evan, share their desire for each other,
Both main characters are impressively interesting. I wanted to know the reasons why Daniella hasn't had sex in six years, how she resisted having sexy boyfriends but no sex you know? It's hard! Also I was dying for knowing Evan's secrets, because he has one and boy it's big!
The storyline is well written, erotic, balanced, and rhythmical, in spite of they're in a sex resort (almost a meat-market) they don't fall in the sex quickly, he cherish her, wants to know her for real and so does she.
So how many stars deserve Last Resort by Kate Roth? Let's see

It’s been so long since Danielle (Dani) has had sex that she may as well have reclaimed her V-card. After a less than stellar first time and a string of failed relationships that never ended in the deed, Dani has never been able to embrace her sexuality. Her most recent boyfriend Kyle dumps her, citing his number one reason as her inability to get over her sexual “issues”. Crying over one too many margaritas with her best friend Georgia, Dani gets on the Internet and makes a reservation at Desire Resort; a resort catering to the sexual wants/needs/fantasies of both singles and couples.
Checking in as a single is humiliating, but once she sees the couples and wayward hookups around her, she is resigned to staying in her room the entire week. After falling asleep in her room the afternoon she arrives, she wakes up after dinner service, but hunger has her checking out the resort’s amenities. Returning to her room after a late night snack in the bar, she happens upon a drunken stranger in the lobby who engages her in breathtaking kiss. Meet Evan Weston.
Evan Weston is a Hollywood A-lister and serial manwhore. He’s come to Desire Resort for his final visit…for the umpteenth time. He says he’s ready to get his act together and is ready to find “the one”, however his repeated visits to the resort prove otherwise. Unfortunately it’s Evan’s reputation at the resort that might be his undoing, threatening his budding relationship with Dani, before it even gets off the ground.
Evan senses early on that Dani isn’t like the other women that usually throw themselves at him. First hint could have been that she didn’t in fact throw herself at him. When he begins to pursue her, (it is his last time at the resort after all), they each enter into the relationship as the one-week fling it is meant to be. Fate, by way of memories of Evan’s departed mother, seem to intervene and there might just be more to their relationship than they had originally anticipated. At the end of the week though, Evan gives Dani a choice…stay with him for another week, or return home to a life without the excitement and satisfaction that is Evan Weston.
Last Resort is a quick, fun read and would be excellent reading poolside or on the beach (I say that in a mind over matter exercise while being snowed in in February!). Like Roth’s other works, the characters are fun and well crafted and the storyline moves quickly, keeping the reader engrossed. The heat between Evan and Dani is palpable and definitely steamy, yet the relationship that develops between the two is sweet. I’m a fan of reformed bad boys and Evan is no exception. This one does end on a cliffhanger so I’m happy the next book in the series, Best Laid Plans is available right away. Thank god because I can’t get enough of Evan Weston!

I've read all of Kate's books before this one came out. She had asked me about reviewing for it, but I said no. Me and erotica don't mix. I'm not mature enough.
Anyway, it's been a little while since this was published. I see teasers from time to time on Facebook, and I've remained curious. I already knew I'm a fan of Kate's writing, so the only thing holding me back from reading this was all the sex.
Again, I'm not mature enough for such things. I mostly read YA fantasy. I typically skip sex scenes in books!
But I couldn't get this book out of my head. I check on it every now and again, but would quickly close the page and go about my day. I've got a ton of other books to read, so I shouldn't be worries about this one.
Except I was.
Recently, I realized that I was nearing 200 reviews on Amazon. So I vowed to make this one number 200. This meant I would need to read some other erotic stories to see if I could do it.
I did. I'm cool like that. Also, I always hated how I was limiting myself. Especially after I discovered there is a difference between erotic stories and erotica romance stories.
I don't hate sex. I'm just not used to read about it.
So, I hit review 199 on Amazon and I finally bought this one. Took me a couple days to build up my nerve to read it. But once I started it, it was hard to put it down.
I forgot how simply wonderful Kate writes her characters. These are real people, and she does them fantastically. You cannot help but me pulled in to their world.
And I was.
There were times my eyes watered. Lots of times I laughed out loud. One time I had to shut my kindle and pace back and forth because of something horrifically mortifying that one of the characters said, and I was embarrassed for them!
This all being said, I loved this book. It was beyond my expectations. I've already gotten myself a copy of the sequel, and I cannot wait to start it.
Absolutely loved it! Beautifully written! It's been a little while since I could say this, but everyone needs to read this book immediately!

If I had to pick one book as my favorite read this summer, it would have to be Last Resort by Kate Roth! I am in love with this book. I sat by the pool and read it and was like a giddy schoolgirl the entire time. Smiling and giggling. I loved it.
So, Danielle hasn't had sex in like years... yes that says years. She has this weird type of phobia if you will, of the whole sex thing. After getting dumped and then getting drunk, Danielle book a vacation to the Desire Resorts (a sex haven if you will) to get over her fears with a stranger.
Danielle is not sure why she even booked the vacation. Once she gets there, she doesn't even want to go through with it. She has 2 choice, stay in her room or at least go out and get some sun. When Danielle ventures out of her room, she is in for a wild ride.
One night she runs into the Hollywood heartthrob, Evan Weston. Danielle can not believe it. Well, maybe she can cause Evan is known for being a player and a wild man. Danielle is just a plain Jane. Then the craziest thing happens. Evan just stumbles up and kissed her on her way back to her room. Then he just walks away.
The next morning, Danielle is not even sure if the kiss was real, until Evan strolls up and asks her to spend some time together. Danielle is not too excited with the fact Evan has asked her out. She knows why he is at the hotel and she doesn't think she can go through with having sex with him. Maybe she is not cut out for meaningless sex.
Evan sees more then just a quickie with Danielle. Something draws him to her. There is something there and he would like to see where this could go.
And just when Kate Roth ropes you in........... bam. It ends. So now I am here waiting patiently waiting for the second half of this book. Cause I love Evan and Danielle (I love them together and I love them separate). I love this book. I kinda love Kate, but not how she left me hanging....But I was told Best Laid Plans is out real soon.... so I still kinda love her.

So why am I yelling at the author? Well read this book and find out people!! LOL
This is about Dani who has broken up with her boyfriend after not being able to "seal the deal" with him after 9 months. She feels she is a frigid ice queen because she is unable to have sex. Has she has sex ? yes....but she just cant do it. Well after Kyle dumps her, she gets drunk and books a vacation to a hotel that specializes in one-night stand essentially. Well Kate FA-REAKS out when she arrives and decided to hide in her room and eat room service the whole week *Snickers* rather then deal with being approached. Well she is approached by a couple who end up being awesome friends to Dani. Thei couple is super sweet and also do a lot to help Dani with her one week fling...Evan...Evan Weston....you know...EVAN WESTON...pft whatever...you know you know who he is...super hottie from the movies and every girls celebrity free pass.....AHH YES that Evan Weston.
Evan gets sassed by Dani one night and he is totally after her. She isnt like the other girls which he sson finds out after his rude sexual comments to her at breakfast...epic face plant Evan!!! When Dani's friends tell him about her troubles, he decides he will be the one to help her through this rough patch....Well they both get alot more then tnhey bargined for....Are hearts involved? YES!! is Love in their tongues? YES!! Are they both FREAKING OUT? YES!! The end of the book Evan and Dani are at a very important moment.........wanna know? buy it and read it!!!

Danielle has issues with letting her desires out, she cannot get intimate with any of her previous boyfriends. She has come to Desire Resort to get away from her issues and to let go and have some fun. Enter Evan Weston, Hollywood hottie and playboy. Evan has the exact opposite issue as Danielle, he gives into desire too often. This is his last trip to the resort and he wants a change in his life. Can Evan break down Danielle's walls and help her let go? Can a fling turn into something more?
I really enjoyed this book. It is a fun quick read but there is a lot of story. You really get to know and love the characters. Danielle is sassy, funny, and intelligent. I really liked her character and the back and forth banter between her and Evan. She is someone that I would want to be friends with and those are the types of characters I love the best. Evan, oh Evan, he is definitely going on my favorite book boyfriends list. He's HOT, SWOONWORTHY, and has a dirty-take control mouth on him. The connection between the two is off the charts both in and out of the bedroom, beach, and spa ;) The sex scenes are well written, panty melting, and in abundance (seriously I'm pretty sure they literally had sex for one whole day). Who needs a beach when you have Evan Weston. I am rooting for this to be more than just a fling. Evan and Danielle fit too well together, but lead very different lives. Warning: there is a cliffhanger ( I kept trying to turn the page on my kindle at the end). I NEED to know where their story is going to go. I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE!!! I highly recommend this book/series and the authors other series.

What a fun read! At times funny, at times, sexy, this story keeps the reader entertained from the page to the last. The last page is a cliff-hanger but the second book is already released so no worries about having to wait to find out what happens. In fact, it isn't a big cliff-hanger.
Our heroine, Danielle hasn't had sex in 6 years, in fact she at times refers to her trip as her chance to lose her 2nd virginity. Danielle isn't technically a virgin but she's only had sex once. Literally only once. She just can't get to the point where she is comfortable enough to consummate the act with anyone. Not her high school boyfriend she slept with the one time, nor any guy she dated in college or her boyfriend of nine months. When said boyfriend breaks up with her because of this, she, after several margaritas, decides to head to a resort where couples can essentially hook-up. However, once she arrives, she realizes this isn't something she wants and plans to stay in her room most of the time and sneak down to the beach every so often. However, things don't go as planned.
She meets Evan Weston, famous movie star and he completely changes things for her. He is her fantasy and he makes many of her sexual fantasies come true.
I really liked this story and Evan doesn't come often as a sleazy douche canoe even though he comes to this resort every year. This year he has decided it is going to be his last and that Dani is the one he wants. Although, we don't get any of this story with Evan's POV, we still see some of how he feels through his facial expressions and some outside characters.
I highly recommend this book. The loving is hot and the chemistry between the two burns up the sheets!

Kate does sweet and sexy right!!
Danielle, oh sweet Danielle. She doesn't know how to get out of her head. She rarely goes out, has a job she hasn't missed a day of in 3 years, she lives with her wild best friend and has had a few boyfriends. But no matter what she does, she can not get out of her head and relax enough to have sex with them, good mind blowing off the charts sex. She's never orgasmed with anyone but herself and she needs help. Enter sexy movie star Evan Weston. Is he the man for the job? You betcha!! But it's just supposed to be for the week and then Danielle will go back to her life and start dating. He's just a stepping stone to her HEA Right?
I loved the sweetness of the book mixed with the very sexy scenes, that were detailed just enough. I really connected with Danielle. I feel like as women we do get locked up in our heads and it's a very hard place for us to come down from. We have to relax and let loose and sometimes you just can't. You also dream of finding a man willing to be the one to help you. Intimacy is a scary thing but it's necessary.
This was a quick read and I can't wait to read the next book and see what happens between these two

I feel like as women we do get locked up in our heads and it's a very hard place for us to come down from. We have to relax and let loose and sometimes you just can't. You also dream of finding a man willing to be the one to help you. Intimacy is a scary thing but it's necessary.
This was a quick read and I can't wait to read the next book and see what happens between these two

LAST RESORT was one of those books where the story pulled me in, unexpectedly, and had me loving the characters. Danielle and Evan may have had similar goals about why they were at the Mexican couples only resort, but the reasons that drove them there were very different. Danielle hadn't had sex in six years and her boyfriend had just broken up with her because she couldn't go all the way. Evan used sex as a way to run for a past that seemed to haunt him. But when they run into each other at the resort, the sparks fly and neither of them can ignore what's happening between them.
The storyline might be predictable, especially with the expiration date set on Dani and Evan's fling, but the author does a fantastic job of keeping it fresh and readers engaged. Danielle's sexual awakening at the hands of the very capable Evan is very hot and had me eagerly turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. Although this story continues on in BEST LAID PLANS (coming soon), this novella is definitely one to pick up if you want a quick weekend read or something to keep things hot while sitting pool side.

Danielle goes on a vacation to help heal a broken heart. To her surprise, she meets the most delicious male actor, Evan Weston. And boy does he help her get over her ex.
I found this story to be quite amusing and sexy... Much more than I thought it was going to be based on the cover.
Evan is sexy and hot and I absolutely loved him... Although at times I felt like there might be something going on behind the scenes, but maybe that's cause I don't trust book boyfriends to be what they say they are.
Danielle finds that going on vacation was more than getting over her ex. It was about finding herself. She was great learning about herself and the woman she had become after breaking down the wall she hid behind.
Overall a quick read, while I didn't find anything suspenseful, I did find myself flipping pages quickly to see what Danielle was going to do... and Evan too.
I can't wait to find out what her answer is..
And a cliffy here, but not a bite your nails, pull out your hair one. But you will need to pick up the next book to find out where things go.

Last Resort by Kate Roth is a story that will have you begging for more. No joke! I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy to review, and needless to say on my fight home from Park City I finished it. I do have to say that I thought if this dude beside me looks at my kindle he might blush!
This story is one of fear, anticipation, and finally letting go of what has been haunting Dani for six years. No sex! What happens when someone out of a "fairytale" crosses her path? You get one of the hottest yet sweetest stories yet!
I will have to say that my only disappointment is that I have to wait to see what happens! Honestly, if I could have gotten to Kate Roth from that plane I would have demanded more right then! With that being said, Last Resort is a great read that will leave you wanting more!

Every time I pick up Kate's book I get blown away. Each has it's own style and to couples are just fantastic. I love it.
This book is a must read don't want to put down. Get ready to pant, sigh and moan over these scenes. Evan is just sex on a stick and considerate to boot. Package deal ladies. I swear I caught myself on google a few times searching for a desire resort thinking maybe this is my way to find me an Evan. Lol
Danielle was so easy to relate with. How many of us go through that fear of maybe not being good when it comes to sex or wanting a certain connection. I found myself comparing some of my past experience with hers. I wish I could do what she did.
Loved this story and eager to know what is going to happen to this dynamic dou?

You have got to be shitting me? Alright Kate has a price on her head until I get book 2. No partying, drinks, or fun until she is out of the writing cave. To say this book was not HOT with a deeper meaning than just sex would be an understatement. Dani had her reasons for vacationing at Desire Resort and Spa but Evan is a mystery I so need to solve.
The romance and worship is what most "women" need and if it is not there then the arousal will not be there. Evan showed it in spades and broke through those walls but the million dollar question still stands unanswered, "Why did she say yes to his plan?"

Oh my...excuse my while I go fan myself. I'm in love!
The problem is I'm not sure who I love more! What can I say? Kate Roth blew me away with this one! Evan Weston is Hollywood's leading man but he's a little lost in his personal life. He's dreamy and sure of himself. Danielle has issues with intimacy but she'd spunky and fun. Both characters were so easy to love and watching their story unfold had me on the edge of my seat.
And talk about steamy! Last Resort is witty, funny, and oh so sexy! Can't wait for my next stay at Desire Resort!

This was a wonderful sexy read! I just loved Danielle and that mouth on her! Now Even, well Even will have you swooning and is destined to be your new book boyfriend. Wow, love it. I did not want this short book to end. Happy l can go straight into the next book. Really enjoyed the relationship between Dani & Evan. This book was really hot hot hot. This is the first book I've read from this author, will be reading more from her. Really enjoyed her writing........

A good start!!! Don't care for this style of ending, but being that there are two books, I figured it would be something of this nature. I liked how even though Evan was a ridiculously famous actor, it wasn't shoved in your face every second. Therefore, it was just as easy to forget he was famous like Dani did.

5 Fabulous Stars!
How have I never heard of this series before? I was alerted to this amazing series when I read Mistletoe and Hollywood. Natasha Boyd said I should read it, well if she said so I guess I’ll try it. What a treat was in store for me.
Meet Danielle Ward, she hasn’t had sex in over six years, oh she’s been on dates, she just hasn’t been past third base. In fact her last boyfriend who tried hitting home plate, ended up finishing by himself, while she finished a level in Candy Crush, locked in the bathroom. Now that’s romance!!
So she has decided she’s going load up her credit card for one week and head done to Desire Resort. No one said that you make wise decisions when drinking with your best friend. Now that her brain is less intoxicated she has decided that this is the worse idea that she has ever had.
So what’s a girl to do, she drowns herself in some Margaritas and she shares her story with a couple she met there. While waiting for a round of drinks she overhears some girl saying that none other than Evan Weston is staying at their resort. Obviously she’s hearing things, so she shrugs it off until..
Stunned by the man in front of me, my feet locked on the ground. He lost the smile and that’s when I drank in the vision of him. His hair was the way I liked it, shorter on the sides and longer on top, making him look debonair but not stuffy. In the dim glow of the lamps that lit the walkway, I could see his hair had lightened in the sun and along his jaw there was a hint of stubble just begging to be touched. He took a step toward me and I felt my knees buckle and my eyes start to gloss over from not blinking.
Where is this resort and why am I not there? So now that she has seen that "the" Evan Weston is at the resort, she is kind of on cloud nine. Imagine her surprise when she shows up to the omelet station the next day and none other than Mr. Weston is standing behind her. Does it get better than this? Yes, yes it does, because not only has he shown up to have breakfast with her, he wants her. What!!! Of course, she takes off and leaves him by himself, because I’m thinking she’s in shock, there has to be no other reason! Surprise number two, she finds out he knows about her “situation” and has a situation of his own. You see Mr. Weston often visits this resorts, but has decided this is his last time there.
So now Evan wants her to be his last, and he wants to be the cure for her condition. So what do you do when a super star tells you he wants to help you with your problem? I don’t know what you would do, but I can tell you that I would be asking for a pen to sign the contract, but that’s me.
“So we should shake on it or something?” I asked.
Evan’s hand rose and slipped behind my neck, causing me to flinch. “A deal like this is better sealed with a kiss, don’t you think?” he said, pulling me to him easily.
Now she’s ready for this adventure. Not only will she finally be having sex, she’s having sex with a freaking super star. I would be twittering this thing, but she doesn’t, it doesn’t even faze her that he is a super star, for her he is just Evan.
My hands moved without my full permission and slid the sunglasses off his head, setting them on the waterlogged ledge of the infinity pool. My fingers moved through his hair and his eyes drilled into me. I pushed against him and planted a kiss on his lips, finally unashamed of our closeness, unfazed by the absurdity of the situation, and truly uninhibited for the first time in a long damn time. His arms clutched my body to his and I reveled in the weird, the normal, and every bit in between.
They have this “relationship” except at the end of the week, neither is ready for the other to go and can’t say goodbye. And just when you think everything will be ok, his past comes back to bite him in the ass. Danielle Ward has not been lucky with her sex life. She gave up her V-card in high school to an impatient and horny teenager, which left her feeling underwhelmed, nervous and with increased anxiety about ever doing it again. Fast forward to the current, when she's just been dumped by her current boyfriend because he was sick and tired of waiting for her to be "ready" for sex, even after waiting just over nine months. Her best friend, Georgia, does the only thing she knows to do: gets her drunk on margaritas and urges her to book a Mexican dream vacation. The only problem is the resort, Desire, is known to be for singles looking to hook-up and married people to swing. Drunk-Danielle is on board with the plan. Go to Desire, hook-up, let loose and try to get comfortable with actually having sex.
The only problem is that sober-Danielle has anxiety just thinking about checking herself in once she arrives. The finally resolves to spending the whole week in her room. Until she decides to go to the bar. After three or four margaritas, she befriends an older couple and spills her secrets about the reason she's at Desire. She returns to her room to pass out, waking up at 2AM with a grumbling tummy. After a snack from the 24-hour snack bar, she walks back to her room, only to pass a stumbling drunkard. With a sassy comment, she catches his attention and he responds to her by pinning her against the wall and kissing her. Imagine Danielle's surprise when said drunkard ends up being mega movie star Evan Weston.
Long story short, a whirlwind of events leads to Danielle and Evan spending time together and he ends up being the one to try to "fix" Danielle's problem.
I don't want to list any spoilers but this book had me hooked from the beginning and I ravaged my way from start to finish. I've actually stayed at a resort in Cancun that reminded me of Desire. Anyway, this book is fun, fantasy and friggin sexy and it's all rolled up nicely and written well. The steam level of this book is off the charts and had me panting while I read it, wanting more and more. I definitely wasn't disappointed and highly recommend it if you.re looking a fun book to read!
