One Christmas Wish takes us back to Walker Mountain Ranch for Julia Noble and Isaac Nash’s story.

I actually met this couple in the book that released after this novella More Than a Feeling, and the hints at their story left me all-sorts of intrigued, so it was great to get to read of how they came together, especially after you learn early on in this novella that theirs is a love story twelve years in the making.

He’d smiled more since seeing Julia again than he had in twelve years.

Isaac is one of Julia’making.

Julia Noble is not searching for a man. She just accepted a job offer as a reporter in Dallas and she doesn't care for all the eligible bachelors her mother introduce her to. She doesn't want to be a burden for any man. It's not a lack of confidence, but she doesn't think a man could love her enough to accept her special needs. In a wheelchair after an accident at fifteen and too many surgeries, Julia had to adapted to her new life and is now ready for a new path. For months, she'

A powerful and wonderful story about two people who missed their chance with one another as teens, but are given a second chance when they meet again at a wedding of his best friend and her brother. Their lives have changed dramatically since their teen years, and moving past the events that made them into the people they are today isn’t easy, but what is evident is the fondness, affection, and love they’ve carried for

I haven't previously read anything from this author but this was a great way to get a taste of what I could expect from her. This story was short, sweet and even a little sad at times. It's a brothers best friend/second chance romance so really, what's not to love?

Julia is a strong heroine despite the hurdles she's had to jump since her accident 12 years ago. Isaac is a sexy ex-Navy Seal with his own demons to deal with now that he's trying to move onto a new phase in his life. Toget

This was such a sweet second chance romance centered around the holidays. Julia Noble has been in a wheelchair for years, but despite that she is perfectly capable of taking care of herself and she is out to break away from her overprotective family. Julia is in no way looking to reconnect with an old crush.

Isaac Nash is torn between keeping Julia’s secret of escaping her overprotective family and keeping a promise to a friend of finding out what his sister is up to. And this is wher

Julia and Isaac were sweet together. I thought he whole thing moved a touch too fast, and there wasn’t really any resolution on why he didn’t try contacting her for so long, but I enjoyed it. I also like the way her disability was written.

(This is the first book in this series that I've read so everything below is based solely on this story. If there are any additional bits of information in the others then it won't be reflected here. I think that this story can stand on its own as it feels complete to me, but I can't say that for sure :) )

I know I shouldn't, but I'm going to start with things that didn't work and move things that did, so make sure you read to the very end! I want everyone to know that there is so muc

Julia was my favorite character from the previous book and I love that she gets her own story. Julia is wheelchair bound but is determined to take charge of her own life away, from her overprotective but well-meaning family. She's accepted that love and marriage are not in the cards for her, but when the man she's been in love with all her life returns just before the start of her new life, will she give up the chance to follow her dreams or will she give up a chance for happiness? Or can she ha ...more

One Christmas Wish is a holiday novella and the third release in the Sara Richardson-penned Heart of the Rockies series. Julia Noble was a very memorable supporting character in the second novel, Something Like Love, and she continues to bring her formidable spirit in her own story. She may be stuck in a wheelchair but she doesn't want to rem

Aww this such a cute contemporary romance. Julia has always been judged by her perceived limitations. An accident many years ago means that she doesn't have the freedom she'd like. BUT Julia is determined to demonstrate her capability to her overprotective family, particularly to her brother and mum.

Julia's big plan is to survive her brother's wedding, avoid his best-friend and her former crush, Issac, and then make her escape into a new life with greater freedom. However, once he sees her agai

One Christmas Wish was the perfect way to get me into the Christmas spirit.

I loved Julia's character in Something Like Love, and I was so excited for her novella.

It starts with Julia attending Ben and Paige's engagement party and this is where she rekindles her relationship with Isaac. She has known Isaac for her whole life until her accident. He left town and now twelve years later, time has only been good to him.

Isaac is shocked to see how much Julia has matured. He couldn't care less she i

If you are looking for a holiday romance romance to get you into the holiday spirit I suggest this novella to start off this season with a bang.

We met Julia in the previous book and she was such a character that I am so glad she finally gets her HEA. Julia and Isaac were friends for a long time but after he made a mistake and Julia gets into an accident she joins the navy. Now 12 years later he is back and wants to make everything right and finally be the woman he has always loved.

After reading Something Like Love the first thing I thought was I am dying to find out who Julia ends up with. Wish granted. One Christmas Wish gave a much deeper look into Julie beyond her smart, funny and snarky dialogue. Julia wants to escape from her over protective family. She's never been able to live her life and forced to follow her family wherever they take her after an accident that left her paralyzed. She has a new job lined up and she's going to sneak off after her brother's wedding. ...more

I received this book from Netgally and the publisher in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. This is the second book that I have read of Sarah Richardson's and so far this is my favorite book. Sarah does a great job of developing the characters and making them very realistic. She was able to also do a great job of setting the scene as well. I really felt that I knew the characters back story and understood their actions.

In addition, what really connected me to this book over the other one w

This story made me really emotional. Julia could have easily been bitter about all that she had to face within her young life. Yet she handled the obstacles put before her with strength and optimism. In fact she dealt with it better than those around her. Her courage is what I believe help Isaac to face his own issues. Her gentle spirit and kind heart made her resilience all the more incredible and is what was most inspiring about this novel. I have read exactly two stories by Sara Richardson. S ...more

I just love coming back to Sara Richardson`s Heart of the Rockies series and Julia with Isaac wow. What got me is Julia who people see weak yet here is a fighter through and through. She shows us that no matter what happened to her years ago she can stand on her own. Isaac is a man who knows what he wants. One look of Julia and this is more than just teenage love resurfacing this is the real deal. As novellas go it was short but one thing I love the most of Sarah Richardson`s latest is that we g ...more

I'm so glad Julia got her happy ending! She was such a strong character in Ben & Paige's book. I'm glad she was given her independence and a strong man to go with it. Isaac had enough strength for Julia to be herself and to feel safe with him. It was a great, quick read and I can't wait for Sawyer's story.

Contemporary romance author Sara Richardson has been a communications manager, copy writer, magazine editor, and whitewater rafting guide. The day after graduating with a master’s degree in journalism, Sara realized she was too empathetic to be a journalist and starting writing her first novel instead.
