Thirty years ago, 3 teenage girls were found dead at the foot of a waterfall .. all were wearing a white wedding gown, all had a red rose, thorns and all, stuffed down their throat and then strangled. A young man was accused, tried, convicted and is now up for release.

Now it looks like the killing spree has started again. Once more, a young woman is found dead by the waterfalls, almost identical to the earlier killings

And thus starts the race to find the murderer before another life is lost

Thirty years ago, the small town of Graveyard Falls was rocked by the brutal murder of three teenage girls. Thanks to the ruthless diligence of the local sheriff, Jason Piker, the town football hero was charged and imprisoned. Jason is now up for parole and on the anniversary of the first murders a woman is found murdered at the falls. The MO is eerily similar and some begin to wonder if the real killer is behind bars.

Mona Monroe the widowed wife of Agent Cal Coulter’s partner has recently taken

Herron had me in her grips from the first page, drawing me further and further in with every turn of the page. This was an intense read. The multifaceted story with intertwining subplots that enhance the entire novel made for an afternoon that I will never forget. There was never a dull moment. Herron keeps the suspense going throughout, having me wondering and guessing right to the very end. This novel was avidly fascinating and endlessly exciting. It had a definite spooky vibe. The eeriness of ...more

In the mood for a good serial killer mystery series? Scrolling through my Kindle yesterday, I was in the mood for a Murder mystery novel and came across the Graveyard Falls series by Rita Herron. All the Beautiful Brides has several storylines running through the book. The first is Mona Monroe has moved to the small town of Graveyard Falls after her husband Brent was killed and now is on a mission to find her birth mother who lived in Graveyard Falls thirty years ago. Currently, though she has t

This is a fantastic thriller. It is edgy and moody, dark and dangerous. It kept me glued to my Kindle until the very end. What didn't work as well was the romance. Whereas the mystery was three dimensional, rich from multiple angles, the relationship between the hero and heroine felt flat.

All the Beautiful Brides is the first installment in Rita Herron’s Graveyard Falls series. She has the right combination of suspense and mystery; however, I wished there would have been a little more romance.

Cal is an FBI agent pulled in to work a case that has an eerie connection to a serial killer that struck the town years ago. Cal’s personal and professional life is quickly becoming twined together and it forces him to reevaluate what he

I'm confused. I feel like I just read a very detailed outline or some sort of script. With zero descriptions. Zero character development. Zero relationship story. Just bare bones of a plot.

And the plot does start out great. 30 years ago three young girls were killed and their bodies were found with a rose jammed into their throats. Now another is killed and found wearing a vintage wedding dress, rose down her throat. My first clue that this was not going to be the romantic suspense I was excited

Good engaging story, Great narration. (audible review)
A Good serial killer mystery by Rita Herron. I can't say the romance portion was real prevalent in the book but the mystery serial killer portion was good. The romance part seemed more thrown into the story. There really was no chemistry between the two, because they new each other for years, but always had an attraction to each other, but she ended up marrying his best friend. So there was no lead up to the romance or any sort of get to know

Thoroughly enjoyable
This book doesn't disappoint. Although the plot isn't anything new, I found it gripping. The basis is a serial killer that's been at large in a small town for thirty years that now has an FBI agent closing in. There was never a dull moment with a skilfully entwined plot that kept me guessing to the end.

The author provokes panic and fear among the residents of Graveyard Falls. Wading through the MANY suspects was thrilling. The glimpses into the killer's mind gave this suspenseful read an extra boost of eerie.
"The white gown fanned out around her like angel wings in the snow. If only she had been the one..."
This story would have gotten all five stars if it had included just a tad more romance.

This reader was intrigued by the secondary character, Sheriff Ian Kimball - hoping his story is rel

3 months ????

Umm..... I liked this book didn't love it. As three months after her hubby dies the female protagonist is kissing his best friend. No no no.... Especially since she had a 'good' marriage??? If it had be a year or even six months maybe I could have believed it, but the romance fell flat.
Remove the romance and I liked the mystery aspects of the story, but..... The one character 'Josie' moving back to help her mom take care of her grandfather was ODD! The character when first introdu

"All the Beautiful Brides" is the first book in a new series by Rita Herron. I received my copy of this romantic suspense novel from Goodreads. I found the story somewhat convoluted, and the characters somewhat poorly developed. The writing in general improves as the story progresses but at first was very choppy. In the end and by the time everything was said and done, I got my dose of suspense and a bit of romantic mushiness despite the overall lack of depth and intensity. This might be a great ...more

Thanks but no thanks.

Skipped majority of it.

I was only in it for the romance. Found the thriller overwraught and boring.

Why did she marry Brent when she had feelings for Cal? How could she have made a life with another man?

How could Cal have given up so easily? He didn't express interest...

How does she manage to hook up with Cal so fast? Her husband only died 3 months ago.

How did Cal keep a secret that Brent betrayed Mona the entire marriage. He was a bigamist.

How, how, how indeed.

Good premise but overall a silly and unrealistic book. I tried to be more forgiving because it was considered a "romantic suspense" or something but even the romance was pretty boring. I don't plan to read any more of this series

All the Beautiful Brides: Graveyard Falls Book 1 is by Rita Herron. It is a murder mystery with a serial killer. It is quite interesting and definitely well-written. It is very realistic in the plot as well as the characters.
Special Agent Cal Coulter was being sent to Graveyard Falls to investigate a murder. It seems the town was named after a waterfall in the mountains. Three young girls were murdered and pushed off the falls to their deaths thirty years ago. Rose thorns were in the girls’ mou

Rita Herron should stick to the mystery and leave the romance to authors like Nora Roberts and Debbie Macomber. The main story line about the "Bride Killer" and the secrets within Graveyard Falls was intriguing and enjoyable to read. Unfortunately, the romance portion of the book was terrible and overshadowed any points the mystery may have earned. I don't mean terrible like an innocent, wealthy girl who falls in love with a roguish pirate who abducted her, kind of way. I mean in a 'how the heck ...more

Overall, the mystery was good and had many intriguing twists. The story was fast paced and filled with a lot of action and suspense. I've always liked Rita Heron's writing and novels. In this one, the main issue I had that was that because there were so many twists and fast paced action that I felt the relationship between Cal and Mona wasn't developed enough and that there were things that I felt needed to be resolved between them about her deceased husband especially before they started as a c ...more

When you want to rate it a 3 1/2 stars, do you go 3 or 4 stars? I tend to go higher. This story is a suspenseful thriller. I did enjoy it, but had a little too many unpredictable scenarios, which made my head spin. Normally that would be a good thing in a thriller, but in this case it felt a bit forced.

One thing is for sure, the town is full of crazies!

This book reminded me how much I used to enjoy romantic suspense novels. It was good solid suspense, and although there was quite a bit of storyline and characters to keep track of, I was kept guessing and never figured it all out. This is a trilogy, but I don't have any desire to read the others.

Get this book right away, pop some popcorn and start reading!
Oh the tangled webs we weave!!! This town is riddled with mystery and deceit. In my wildest dreams, I could not have come up with such a story. I look forward to more from Cal and Mona in the next book of this series.

USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author Rita Herron fell in love with books at the ripe age of eight when she read her first Trixie Belden mystery. Although she wanted to be a writer then and actually scrawled her first novel at age twelve, she didn’t think real people grew up to be writers, so she became a kindergarten teacher instead. Ten years ago, she traded her classroom storytelling a ...more
