I'm the twisted mind behind The Gallows Novels and the After Death Series. If you want to know a bit about me, here it is: I spend too much time indoors and probably watch too many horror films. Some of my favourite things are; Alone time, people who know when to shut up, having a drink, eating pizza (usually after having too much drink the night before), reading books, adult swim cartoons, bad horror and sci-fi movies, proper good TV shows like Dexter & The Walking Dead, and last but not least having a laugh with my hilarious other half - this would usually include some of the above.

A great trilogy involving demon trackers, vampires, witches, fairies and psychos. The two central characters are twins Shaun and Sarah, in their late teens; as fallen angels their role is to hunt down and kill vampires and black magic practitioners. The story goes at a great pace, from one blood-curdling incident to another, from one book in the trilogy to another, from one dangerous romantic liaison to another. Sharon Stevenson creates a wonderfully graphic atmosphere where you can as good as smell the foul vampirish odours and, as the demon trackers clean out vampire nests, feel and taste the gunge and gunk of exploding vampirish bodies. But there is more to the author's writing skills than this: she is able to describe and convey effortlessly the essence of teenage life, with its angst, romantic and sexual upheavals, and endemic penchant for trashy fast food. It's a story that hurtles you along in its wake. Sharon Stevenson writes brilliantly and has created an authentic milieu where a paranormal world and a normal world thrillingly coalesce. Her characters, immersed in an environment both of supernatural beings and of adolescence's travails, distil and encapsulate what every good book needs: a viable reality we can really believe. Great stuff.

Blood Bound
This book was so dense with detail, and plot, and character, and suspense, and everything else that makes for a great read. I hated that my day job kept getting in the way of my reading time - I literally did not want to put the book down and I can't wait to start the next one in the series.
I really wanted this to be a 5 star read, and it started out so strong, but I couldn't get past all the name calling in the first half. It felt like every other time Sarah speaks to or about her brother, she takes a pot-shot at Shaun's appearance. I know they're siblings, and that's something that siblings do. And in their own words they care very deeply for one another, but one of the first exchanges we witness between Sarah and Shaun has him asking her to stop with all the mean names - and it doesn't slow down until the second half of the book. In an age where bullying and discrimination are so rampant, this isn't behavior I want to support, even if it's only in my reading material.
Demon Divided
The first book was really good, and this one is even better. Like the first, there is soooo much in this book - lots of detail, lots of intrigue, lots of action. The Gallows' world takes what we think we know about the typical mythical monsters and tips it ever so slightly on its head. There's nothing typical about the werewolves and vampires in this book. I can't wait to get my hands on book 3 to see what happens next.
I received a complimentary copy of this book.
Fate Fallen
This is a different perspective on the fey-folk from any other I've read, which was really refreshing. I loved this opportunity to learn more about Shaun and what makes him the man he's become. The drama and intrigue had me hooked from the very beginning and kept me guessing right to the end. I can't wait to read what else is in store for the Gallows twins.

This a fantastic paranormal box-set and I really enjoyed reading it. This story covers two twins Sarah and Shaun Gallows who are demon trackers and personality wise total opposites. Sarah is reckless & jumps in without looking first and Shaun is less-confident and seems to hide and/or suppresses his true potential. (I hate to give any more information away). There is a lot of drama, suspense, action, humor, love triangles, potential mate/s, rudeness, swearing, violence, erotic romance, demon trackers, witches, fairies, vampires, demons, zombies, and humans, the evil corrupt Melissa, Melissa's evil corrupt father, drama, suspense, action, humor, potential mate/s, a pet werewolf, Shaun being framed, Ben the vampire locked in basement, being bonded to vampire and demon, slowly being seduced, complicated relationships, visions, obsession, brutal murder, teleportation, fairies, a necklace, a Seelie Prince, memories, Earth-bound Fey, Darkland Fae, human slavery, trackers, dreams, shapeshifters, a she-wolf, vampires, cages, killing, Council, a witch, demons, psychic barriers, a demonic cop, daggers, brothers, a mirror, Darklands, a contract, a Seelie Knight and there is a intriguing and tantalizing extract for book four at the back. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written and the author's eye for details are excellent. I would recommend this book to people who like to read interesting and fascinating paranormal box-sets

The Gallows series is about twin demon trackers, Sarah and Shaun Gallows. This series is packed with action, romance, and interesting characters. I enjoyed reading all three books, especially the books about Sarah.

The Gallows Novels books 1-6

Twins, Shaun and Sarah are as different as chalk and cheese, but both are demon trackers.
Shaun is more of a loner and doesn't like his job, while Sarah jumps in with both feet and gets the job done, while still finding time for her friends. The story is told from their points of view which, in my opinion, gives more of an insight into their individual characters.

Demons, vampires, werewolves, witches and fairies... this series has them all!

The books are fast-paced, easy to read, and enjoyable. I originally bought book 1, but having read that, bought the box set 1-3 followed soon after by the second box set (books 4-6).
