This ends at 63%, if I paid for it, I'd be a little peeved. But I didn't, so score.
Also score for Ashley and her alpha wolf, Latin lover(??) Ben Stone. (Because Ben Stone is such a popular Latin name...sure) He threw a couple of "mi amor" or "mi reina" to jazz it up and sell his ethnicity. LOL (suggestion: no Latin lover part, it's unnecessary)

This is the first book I've read by Renee and it won't be the last.
The story flowed well and I almost forgot the hero was a shifter, until well he shifted. He was a sexy alpha wolf/man.
I know it states in the synopsis this story contains domestic discipline and anal play, and true to its word, yes indeed this story had a heavy focus on both. So, if that's your thing you will love this short story.

Renee Rose delivers a deliciously good domestic discipline story! It's supposed to be a sequel to The Alpha's Hunger but I found can be read alone. This is a paranormal story but is more about their relationship and his discipline of Ashley. Lots of hot office scenes.

This was a great addition to Ashley and Ben's story from The Alpha's Hunger. I enjoyed the look into their relationship after their HEA and I particularly loved the spanking scenes!

This picks up right where the last book left off with Ben and Ashley still together and going strong… except for one little problem. Ben thinks they’re trying for a baby, but Ashley hasn’t exactly been honest, she’s still on birth control.
It’s not that she doesn’t love him, but she’s not sure she’s ready for motherhood yet, and instead of just telling him that, she lets the secret sit there like a ticking time bomb. Honestly, her biggest mistake was not speaking up the moment the baby talk started. She convinced herself Ben wouldn’t want her anymore if she wasn’t on board right now , but of course, when the truth finally comes out, he’s not furious. More disappointed she didn’t trust him, and a little mad at himself for not noticing sooner. It’s actually kind of sweet in that way.
The rest is very very much like the previous book, plenty of dominance, spanking, and heat. So if you’re here for a good dose of alpha growliness with a softer emotional payoff, you’ll still get it.

I never read shifter stories
But I read this one not knowing until I opened it that it was one.
I read it because it was Renee Rose's story.
I finished it because it is good.
It is the alpha male that does it for me and that touch of softness. there is nothing like it.
This is part two I will go back and read part one. Not because I now enjoy shifters. I love Renee. And she wrote the story.
So, if you want solid spanking,strong Dom, strong, submissive woman, hot emotion, read the story. But start at with the beginning, I am sure it is better that way. Find out what happens when a submissive lies for months to her wolf Dom.

Ben, a wolf-shifter, wants to settle down and have “pups.” Ashley, his fiancée, isn’t ready yet. She’s secretly still on the pill, but he thinks they’re “trying.” Not a good scenario when you’re in a D/s relationship with a wolf who spanks. I loved this! Awesome short read, and oh so hot!!!
This is the first shifter romance I've read and I really wasn't sure I'd like it, considering I wasn't even sure what a shifter was. But I wasn't disappointed - it was great! Lots of hot sex, lots of hot spankings, and I read it right through to the end without stopping, I just couldn't put it down.

This author never ceases to amaze me. Nothing could have torn me away from reading the entire story; I guarantee I wouldnt have even noticed if my house caught fire. Everything you need for an emotionaly charged, spanking hot read.

It was a good followup to the previous book. Although you can understand it without the first,
it had some things that seemed confusing unless you read the first.

This novella was delicious. It depicts Ashley's deception toward Ben regarding her desire to start a family immediately. It's short and sweet, but depending on your interpretation, the scenes can be quite steamy.

So I'm a weirdo and started reading this book before the first one in the series... which of course introduces Ashley and Ben and tells their story. But the book was free at the time, and I started reading it before I realized it wasn't the beginning of the series *shrugs shoulders*.
I still found this novella/short (it's 65 pages) to be pretty darn awesome. Renee Rose usually writes some seriously hot Alpha males and this was no exception.
Obviously the sex scenes were great, but I also found the relationship and the struggles they were going through at the time to be relatable and well explained. All-in-all there's A LOT of sex scenes in this, not that I minded, just a heads up.

From the beginning and ended as a stand alone 3 chapters wow and then the rest previews. You have what it takes to be a dang good writer but it a million even better who don't play games with their readers I would have brought book two no problem because this book was good until it just started with all these different previews I would love to read M story but I could take another 3 chapters book. The author's statement of a high ratio of sex had me very intrigued for this tease to her longer work involving the characters titled "The Alpha's Hunger." I thoroughly enjoyed the hot sex and the punishment scenes; they made the bits of romance and characters' internal dialogues that much better. Ash's worries beautifully carried the story; I appreciated the depth of Ben's concerns to avoid being like his father. I look forward to enjoying more with these two. What a lovely romance!

I was given this book for free in exchange for my honest review. I must say I usually don't read shapeshifter books. But I did truly enjoy it. It s a true D/s book. That is the main focus. Ashley lied to Ben and now she must face the punishment. It was not a little lie either. She continued to take her birth control pills for 5 months while Ben was trying to have a baby. All she had to do was be honest. This is one hot read!
