honestly i didn’t really know what to expect going into this, but I definitely did NOT expect some of the things I read. 🤣 It’s such a quirky, completely unhinged little monster romance, and there were definitely some scenes where I just had to sit there and question everything LOL
The spicy scenes were… certainly creative. VERY creative. Orange pumpkin-spice flavored you know what 👀 and I’m still wondering how any of this works when this thing has no lips????? but okayyy 😆
It wasn’t necessarily a new favorite for me, but if you’re looking for something weird, ridiculous, spooky, and completely different, this definitely delivers

I genuinely cannot remember the last time a book made me laugh THIS hard 💀🤣 An easy 5⭐️ from me purely for the experience, especially when read alongside my fellow “spooky bitches”.
I don’t usually read smut/romance, but somehow this book had me sitting here like… Soooo, what other books have I been missing from this genre? 😂 And the Pumpkin Spice?! 💀 IYKYK. You will NEVER look at it the same way again. This book completely ruined me, and that’s exactly why I’ll never forget it 🤣

But then a Halloween miracle happens… she falls in love with Mr. Bonejangles, and somehow, he seems to fall in love with her right back. Going into this, I honestly didn’t think I’d enjoy it because I’m really not a romance/smut reader. Not because I’m a prude, I just don’t really care about the steamy bits. Unless they’re completely ridiculous and wayyyy out there, and luckily, this was EXACTLY that. I mean, a 12-foot SENTIENT SKELETON?! Just let your imagination run wild! And while I was absolutely losing it over the creativity of some of the scenes, there was also this unexpected coziness to the story that I really loved. It takes place during fall, and Tori and Mr. Bonejangles get to enjoy all the best autumnal activities together: watching horror movies, carving pumpkins, drinking pumpkin spice lattes (🤭), basically living the ideal spooky-season life.
I’ll be real, this is NOT a book you should take seriously. This is a book you read when you want to shut your brain off, embrace the ridiculousness, and have a fun time. It’s weird, quirky, spicy, cozy, and completely unhinged, and somehow, it works well. No bones about it! 💀😆
And I HIGHLY recommend buddy reading this one with a friend. That’s honestly what elevated the experience for me. Just a group of us collectively losing our minds and laughing the entire time! Needless to say, I’ll be seeking out more from this author. Never in my life did I think I’d discover that I’m apparently into sentient Halloween romance… yet here we are. 💀🎃🤣

Πέρσι περίπου τέτοια εποχή διάβασα ένα βιβλίο για μία πόρτα, που ερωτεύτηκε έναν άνθρωπο. Κόντρα στις προσδοκίες μου, εκείνο το βιβλίο μού άρεσε, κυρίως γιατί υπήρχαν μια χαρά εξηγήσεις και για το γιατί η πόρτα είχε συνείδηση και για το πώς η πόρτα θα μπορούσε να γίνει άνθρωπος. Και είχε και ένα side plot για έναν serial killer.
Τα λέω αυτά, για να εξηγήσω τι με έκανε τώρα να θεωρήσω ότι είναι καλή ιδέα να διαβάσω ένα βιβλίο για έναν διακοσμητικό σκελετό, που ερωτεύεται με τη γυναίκα, που τον αγόρασε. Αυτή τη φορά, βέβαια, τα πράγματα δεν πήγαν πολύ καλά.
Ας ξεκινήσουμε από το ότι πέρασα κάπου στο 80% του βιβλίου να αναρωτιέμαι τι στο καλό διαβάζω. Ούτε την αρχική εμμονή της πρωταγωνίστριας με τον σκελετό κατάφερα να κατανοήσω, ούτε τα ρομαντικά τους συναισθήματα αναπτύχθηκαν με έστω έναν μίνιμουμ οργανικό ή δικαιολογημένο τρόπο. Αυτό, ωστόσο, που με αποτελείωσε, ήταν οι σεξουαλικές σκηνές. Σιχαίνομαι, που σας κάνω spoilers, αλλά νιώθω την υποχρέωση να αναφέρω ότι, μεταξύ άλλων, στον σκελετό ξαφνικά φύτρωσαν (κυριολεκτικά) γεννητικά όργανα, τα οποία μάλιστα έχουν και γεύση pumpkin spice, όπως ενημερωνόμαστε από την πρωταγωνίστρια μετά από συγκεκριμένη ερωτική πράξη.

Well what a way to start spooky season. A 12 ft sentient plastic skeleton with LED eyes and very skilled hands was not on my 2026 bingo card but god damn I am here for it.
Loved every minute of this book. I laughed, I cried, I wondered what that felt like. Cannot recommend it enough.

I loved the way the relationship developed between Tori and BJ, yes it starts out a bit pervy and weird but he's a 12ft skeleton FFS lol. Who knew giant pieces of moulded plastic could be so sweet and caring and also so downright filthy.
There is sentient object spice, a gripping war between Tori and the leader of the HOA, Lois, who just seems to hate all things Halloween, a tragic loss but a twist ending that had me kicking my feet.
If you love all things Halloween and fancy a spicy spooky read, check this one out.

Personally, I love whatever is wrong with Tori because it's wrong with me too. BJ was top notch and I feel ya. An extremely fun, quick read that is absolutely perfect for the Halloween season. This one is definitely going to make it's mark in the sentiment object category and it will be a must read for fans of the genre!

I absolutely adored this read. This was the perfect read for spooky season and who wouldnt wanna read about a 12 foot skeleton coming to life. The spice in this read 10/10 and I can honestly say the creativeness behind those scenes deserves an award 🥵 Not only is this read spice but it held emotional depth, This book not only had me kicking my feet and giggling but also had me on the verge of tears towards the end. I honestly can't recommend this book enough. I got this via the author and this is my voluntary review.

This was a fun, little novella that the group chat read to start out spooky season! If you love Halloween, second chance romance, sentient objects come to life, pissing off your HOA, or pumpkin spice flavored c*m...this is the read for you!

This was such an adorable Halloween read!!! It had my attention from the first page and I couldn't put it down!
The book also put me in the Halloween spirit so it was just what I wanted! I honestly had no idea what this book was about, I just dived in blind lol! Steamy, funny and adorable are the best way I can describe this novella.

The book also put me in the Halloween spirit so it was just what I wanted! I honestly had no idea what this book was about, I just dived in blind lol! Steamy, funny and adorable are the best way I can describe this novella.

Ok, I like skeletons. This has become a joke in my friend group to the point where whenever I see a skeleton in any form of media I say "smash" and call it a day.
So when a friend sent me this I KNEW my time has come.
This is as ridiculous and corny as you would expect while being super sweet.

This was completely unhinged & I devoured it. It was honestly also a very cute heartwarming story & showed the magic of Halloween! So for me, it’s 5 stars🌟💀🎃

I appreciated the creative boning 😉 and there are lots of Halloween activities, but I didn’t like the social media aspects of the plot (spent too long working in marketing 😅). There were several tropes I didn’t like such as everyone doting on the main character (Spooky Bitches only showing up to serve the MC) and the skeleton being obsessed with everything the MC did. I also found the writing repetitive.
