I've read this book a year ago and somehow I thought I had reviewed this, but I forgot and I'm so sorry. What I didn't forget was the story. Moving on is my favorite book in the Charleston series and I totally enjoyed it, even though I wasn't a big fan of Chris at the previous books. Somehow his inner turmoil and his battles with himself , along with his growing relationship with Bette made him loo ...more

This is the third story in the College of Charleston series however it can be read as a stand alone. It just so happens that I read the first in the series however not the second. Moving On is one of those new adult books that will totally catch your interest. When I first read the blurb, learning that it's a roommate-rebound story, I immediately signed up for the ARC of this.

Fortunately, the author grant me an access!

I was really excited to read it, though I'm not expecting too much of the book. When it comes to new-to-me authors, I tend to give the benefit of the doubt. So even though the pace was slow in the first 7 or 8 chapters, I did my best to stay in the game.

First off I want to tell y'all that I am a huge lover of this series. The whole college of Charleston series has me wrapped up. I was ecstatic when I saw that Moving On was available to me because I could not wait to read Chris's story. After reading The List I totally felt so bad for him. Don't get me wrong I wanted Annie to find her happiness even if it was with Ryan it just killed me to have him so ...more

Moving On is the third book of the College of Charleston series, it follows Chris and Bette. Chris is still hung up over Annie and Ryan so he decides to move out of the dorm. He finds himself bunking with Bette.
I really like Chris, he’s a great guy – he’s sweet, loyal, dedicated, hot, and he knows his way around construction (remodelling rooms and all). Who doesn’t like a guy who knows construction? He is definitely the ki ...more

So when I requested this book, I definitely didn't realize it was part of the College of Charleston series. I've read the first two novels in the series courtesy of NetGalley, and really didn't like either one of them. In fact, I couldn't even finish the second one.
But this book...I liked this book. It wasn't my all time favorite - Chris was pinning over "angelic" Annie too much for me to fall in love with this novel, bu ...more

Sometimes when you want it the least it finds you faster and all too unsuspecting. You can tell yourself no all you want and run even. Somehow it will always find you again right where you left it in your heart. Let’s you know all those others you thought you loved were only to prepare you to open you to the real thing right there in front of you and to know that right here right now it is the real thing.

FYI - This review might spoil parts of the first two books in the series, THE LIST and NO REGRETS.
This is the third book in Kate L. Mary's COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON series, and I think it might just be my favorite! Like all of Kate's books, MOVING ON is a quick read featuring complex characters.

Having read all about Chris's heartbreak in “No Regrets”, the second book in the College of Charleston series, I couldn't wait to see Chris find his happy ever after. Kate L. Mary takes us back to a college town with a group of young people with love stories that include past hurts, deceit, and undeniable attraction. While not quite as steamy as most books that I read, Kate adds an element of innocence and tenderness topped with ...more

This book begins with Chris moving out of the dorms to get away from his ex girlfriend who is now dating his best friend. He rents a room in an old house that belongs to Bette.
Bette is a strong woman who knows exactly what she wants out of life, except when it comes to men. She forms a fast friendship with Chris and finds herself confiding in him in a way that she has never done with anyone before.
A new love interest for Bette brings confusion for both Chris and Bette. Can they ever be more than ...more

This is the third book in the College of Charleston series by Kate L. Mary. I read the second book before this one. This series is really about learning to accept the past so that you can move forward toward the future. This book was about Chris who thought he was in love with Annie and had a difficult time when she moved on to dating his best friend Ryan. It takes Chris a while to understand why he is so upset. He moves in to a house with ...more

I read The List and loved it. Then I missed No Regrets, because I had no idea when it came out. When I got Moving On I had no idea it was from this series so that was a nice surprise. And we have another WINNER! Loved this book through and through. The humor, the emotional turmoil of young adults, the overall expression of the story was amazing and I enjoyed it thoroughly

Kate L Mary has done it again.
This is the third book in the College of Charlston series and can be read as a stand alone.
Engaging from the very beginning to the very end. This story follows Chris (who in my opinion did behave a little bit immaturely) as he grows as a person. Bette as a character is fabulous!

I really enjoyed this book of finding love, finding yourself and knowing what you truly want. The ups and downs that Bette and Chris go through is something everyone goes through in their lives. This book was easy to relate to and even more easily to fall in love with.

After finishing No Regrets I was glad to see that Chris would be telling his story. We get a small introduction to Chris in No Regrets and he is portrayed in that book as a moody and mysterious friend to Ryan and Liam. In this book we learn more about the failed relationship he had with Cami’s roommate, Annie. Chris leaves the dorms after he and Annie breakup/Annie sleeps with his best friend Ryan, and moves in with Bette, ...more

You don't need to read the first two books in the series to understand this book and the characters. I liked Chris, he was sweet and really accepting of Bette for who she was. I loved Bette. She was sassy and knew exactly who she was. I was disappointed it took so long for her to realize that Blake wasn't the one for her and that Chris was. The time it took for them to finally get together was too drawn out and slow. I started skimm ...more

I DNF at 45%. I couldn't connect to the story or the characters. That could be that it was a #3 in a series and I haven't read any of the previous versions? I found the character development shallow and the romance slow to develop. It might be for some, but not for me.
