Only. Always. Forever.

I have loved every book and novella in the Hard Ink series, the story-line and the couples it encompasses is quite simply Laura Kaye writing at her absolute best. As a reader I really could not have asked for more, and this novella to finish everything off was the icing on the wedding cake!
I don’t think I really need to write a long drawn out review for this one, it’s Laura giving the Hard Ink fans one final visit to the guys and their women, in the form of Becca and Nicks wedding.
"It’s good to be back."
It’s not plain sailing, and one bad penny that the Team had initially thought they had removed from the equation returns to try and exact revenge on Nick and those he loves, on the eve of the wedding. Expect happy tears, sad tears as few laughs and a lot of contented sighs as this series sort of comes to an end.
"This all feels right."
Although there is a 1001 Nights novella on the horizon, but it features a side character and not one of the original Hard Ink crew. Hard to Serve Kyler Vance’s book is due late June, and I hope we get a little update from Hard Ink Tattoos in the telling of his story.

A sweet, sexy, beautiful Hard Ink Happily Ever After!!! This novella was able to weave friendship, love and of course suspense!!! What is a Hard Ink series without a little suspense thrown into the mix to set hearts racing and pumping!! After what Nick, Becca and the Hard Ink gang have been through, a happily ever is well deserved!!! And Laura Kaye did just that. Readers of the series will be left with a big fat smile on their face as Ms. Kaye reminded us again how easily it is to fall in love with these characters. It truly has been a journey of ups and downs and to see Nick and Becca get their always and forever ending was truly worth it. So if you are looking for a love story that will leave a permanent mark on your mind of what it means to truly love hard then I highly recommend you to read this sweet novella of the Hard Ink gang!!!

A wonderful ending to a great series.
It was so hard to say goodbye to the guys and girls of Hard Ink when the final book came out, so I was very happy when Laura Kaye announced a wedding novella.
And as always I loved spending time with all the characters that I've come to love, and enjoying a wedding, and some very special announcements at the end.
Of course it couldn't just be roses and rings, and a past enemy is back, intent on hurting them all.
A really wonderfully sweet, sexy, romantic and suspenseful novella. Just like I've come to expect from this series.
This is a series that I will re-read many, many times. A must read for all RS fans.

“Because hard is good.”
For the Hard Ink fans, this book is such a treat. The ending of the last book has been very moving and so beautiful it was so emotional that it was also bittersweet. To know that one of my loved series is ending and yet so happy that they had their happily ever after, and getting everything they deserved for what they’ve been through.
The Hard Ink boys, these men, I loved them. So fucking much that when the voting started of whom will get their happily ever after first, I can’t for the life the of me decide on who. I actually voted on #TeamCharlieandJeremy like on all the platforms I can vote with, but I wasn’t sad when it was Nick and Becca who have won. I’m just so overwhelmed by the fact that hey, I’m gonna get to read what happens next to gang.
I was actually hesitant at first to start reading, because with all the giddy and excitement I felt, I was afraid I might get disappointed. It always happens, you know, reading and getting back to the series or characters you love so much that everything gets so overwhelming and that the Author might get over the board.
But, I am so happy. Like truly ecstatic. Laura Kaye did an amazing job on Hard Ever After. The suspense is still there and it wasn’t so overwhelming. It was just so fucking perfect!
Finally the guys are getting back with their life and the transition from the intense months that they’ve been to living a normal life again was a hardship they are undergoing especially with Becca. But everything’s going so good, or so they thought.
I can’t express how happy I felt to read such an amazing book. And of course, I wanted to share the happiness I felt to all the Hard Ink fans, and to others who might stumble upon this read. It was exciting to see the gang, with all the good news they shared, and the other people who have touched their lives even though in passing. Eileen was so cute and I was happy that Ike and Jess was there, too. Jesus, I don’t think the whole book was efuckingnough and I freakily want more.
Of course, I am excited for the Raven Riders Motorcycle Club.
The best is yet to come.
This book can be quite overwhelming if you haven’t read the whole series. If you like mystery, suspense, hard guys and hot tattoos, and men in uniform, then this book is definitely for you. The series should be read in order or you might get lost on who’s who and the whole investigation.

This was fantastic! I am so happy right now. The Hard Ink series is a favorite of mine and I honestly didn't think it could get any better... but it did! Loved this so much!
Nick and Becca are so wonderful. They are such a passionate, loving, carrying couple. This was such a fun read. Sexy and playful! I loved catching up with them. Nick is so sweet, his proposal had me all teary eyed. I love how strong Becca is, even when there is a crisis. Laura Kaye writes a great, kick ass heroine! There is a nice amount of heat, a great story, some drama, and a bit emotion. This had it all! I loved the element of suspense that was weaved in keeping me on toes.
Loved seeing all the other couples from previous stories as well. There's a nice recap mentioning each so if you haven't read the other stories you won't be lost. I love how they all have come together and formed their own family of sorts, it's a wonderful thing.
There were so many heartfelt moments with the men and women, it just made me happy. I was smiling from ear to ear. That last chapter was so awesome! Loved knowing what was coming up next. Adored it! I might have clapped... And cried! Perfect beginning, middle, and end. Wonderful story! If you are a fan of the series you are going to love this!

I did not read the Hard Ink series but for me this book can be read as a standalone. I was first introduced to author Laura Kaye from the novel Hearts in the Darkness and Love in the Light - I just fell in love with her writing and her stories. So I decided to read Hard Ever After. This novella is about Nick and Becca HEA. Without knowing too much of the Nick and Becca’s history I understand that they have been through quite the ordeal and have been taking some time off to relax and heal. Soon after Nick and Becca got back to normal life, Nick proposed * swoon worthy * and Becca was elated. The couple was excited and planning for their big day. But not so fast!!! Someone from their past came back for some unfinished business and revenge. Heart pounding moments and a few gruesome details? – you got it! This novella actually has a little bit of everything – suspense, drama but also sexy, sweet and sizzling all packed in one.
I think that if you followed the series this book features the perfect ending to Nick and Becca’s journey – a long prologue if you will. The author also gave all the secondary characters a nice fair well – Charlie and Jeremy, Kat and Beckett, and others… I enjoyed Laura’ writing - descriptive, smooth, captivating. I wished I had read the series first to know the full history behind Nick and Becca but I enjoyed this novella all the same.

If you're a fan of Laura Kaye's Hard Ink series then you're going to love Hard Ever After. This novella is a perfect extended epilogue to the entire series and even though it's a continuation of Nick and Becca's love story it's very much a chance to drop in on all of the previous couples and see how they're getting on a few months down the line. After everything they've all been through they all thoroughly deserve their happily ever afters but before they can celebrate Nick and Becca's wedding they'll have to face one last enemy.
I love all of these characters so much, the strong, protective guys who have worked so hard to clear their names and the women who have supported them through it all and who each had their own roles to play. It was just so nice to revisit them all and see how much stronger the bond is between everyone now. The guys have been like brothers since their army days but the women have also become close friends and we get to see lots of friendly banter and bonding time which was lovely.
There was just the right amount of action to add a little suspense to the story without taking away from the romance and friendship that has been at the heart of the entire series. I'm going to miss these characters but I'm excited to move onto the Raven Riders spin off and hopefully we'll still see a few glimpses of these characters in those books.

There are plenty of hard times to be had in this novella – both the good kind of hard and the stressful kind…but Nick and Becca aren’t about to let the past get in the way of their future, especially after everything they’ve been through.
This book is most definitely not for anyone who hasn’t connected with the characters in the prior novels. You need to have read at least one to understand the crowd you’re walking in on or you’re going to be totally confused – thankfully I have read them and LOVED them.
This novella is the perfect little addition to the series that gives us romance, sweetness and of course the quintessential expected danger that the Hard Ink series is known for. Becca and Nick have to fight for their ever after, but I was pleasantly pleased to join them.
Sexy, sweet and just a little extra to make you smile. 4 stars!

Hard Ever After is the epilogue to the story of all the couples. It might be Nick and Becca centered, but we get the chance to see all the couples going back to their normal lives and living happily together. The ending chapter was perfect and I really want to go back to this novella and reread it even after a few days from the day I read it. The story is not only filled with the sweetness of the couples and preparations of Nick and Becca's wedding. It has also the action of the previous books since an enemy has come back and is trying to ruin things by threatening to kill Becca. Hard Ever After being what exactly I was expecting as an ending to the story of the guys. The mix of mystery and action was perfectly combined and as someone who was a fan of the series since the second book I can say that this was perfect for the fans and it won't disappoint.

This was a good wrap up to the series and kind of capped off everything and we also got hints of how the other couples were doing or where they were headed with their relationship. It was all sweet and I really appreciated LK taking the effort.

From the very beginning, Nick and Becca have been my favorite couple in the HARD INK series and I'm so happy to get more time with them in HARD EVER AFTER. Nick was his usual tough but super sweet self and I loved how he was with Becca and how he cherished everything about her. This couple epitomizes the idea of supporting each other and being a rock for each other.
We also got to see the new normal that the group has, their upcoming security business, renovating the Hard Ink building into apartments, and moving on in each of their relationships. This was a great little conclusion to a truly amazing series!

Such a great story but I'm so sad to see this series end. Love these characters so much especially Nick and Becca.

I won't lie... I was bored a LOT of the time while reading this book. Turns out reading unnecessary info dumps about characters, relationships, and plot lines that I'm already familiar with from previous books in the series, and reading about those fictional people plan their wedding, is just not my jam (who cares what colour the bridesmaid dresses are?!). The little bit of suspense in this book and the ooey gooey declarations of love just aren't worth the tedium of the rest of it.

A lovely, charming, sexy, and humorous addition to an all-around great series! The Hard Ink crew start to rebuild their lives after such tragedy. Nick, Becca, and the gang have been through so much together, and this happy occasion couldn't come at a better time. They need happiness after such devastation. They start to forge a new path together with the future looking bright as ever. You won't know how much you've missed these characters until you read HARD EVER AFTER. This is the icing on the cake, the cherry on top of the sundae, an ice-cold lemonade on a hot summer day. It's what us hardcore HARD INK fans needed - this contentment, this solace, this satisfaction that everything with these characters will be okay.
Although, it's not all happiness and rainbows. It wouldn't be a HARD INK book if it didn't have some suspense in it. The suspense comes in the form of the past not staying where it's supposed to. An enemy with some unfinished business lies in waiting, but in true Laura Kaye fashion, she gives us a happily ever after that we will never forget. I absolutely ADORE these characters and I can only hope that this isn't the last we read about them. Get ready to SWOON! Get ready to LAUGH! Get ready for your heart to skip a beat. Although, it's not all happiness and rainbows. It wouldn't be a HARD INK book if it didn't have some suspense in it. The suspense comes in the form of the past not staying where it's supposed to. An enemy with some unfinished business lies in waiting, but in true Laura Kaye fashion, she gives us a happily ever after that we will never forget. I absolutely ADORE these characters and I can only hope that this isn't the last we read about them. Get ready to SWOON! Get ready to LAUGH! Get ready for your heart to skip a beat. Laura Kaye has once again, made my heart full with her amazing love stories.

If you have been following the Hard Ink series by Laura Kaye then you know that this love was a hard won battle. After everything Nick and Becca have been through you can't help but root for them to get their happily ever after. But since we know how Miss Kaye loves to tease us, we know they have one more hurdle to jump through before they can get it.
When a series embarks on a journey that involoves multiple couples, it can be hard to go back and read about the original lovers. Miss Kaye does a fantastic job in reacquainting us with Nick and Becca. Some series that go back to the original couple can become super mushy or lovey dovey but Miss Kaye works incorporates the fluff with a whole lotta steam. Watching these couples grow together and in themselves has been a fun yet a tearful journey. I also feel that I am apart of that family.
Oh, and can I just state how much I've missed the gang! Each book in this series focuses on the couple which is great but when seeing them all together it made my heart very happy. I literally had a cheesy grin on my face the entire time I was reading this novella. I loved getting to see the girls together and how well they mesh together. We all know that the guys are a great bunch and funny as hell when together, so it was nice to see the girls have time together.
This was a beautiful wrap up to the case that the team had worked on so hard in order to get their names cleared. I hope this is not the end for the gang because I will surely miss them.

This little short was a good way to wrap up the series. The foe is vanquished, now they all are getting on with their lives. As each and every member found love while things were crap, it is nice to see them all happy. Although their happy didn't come without some bumps, but these bumps were easily taken care of by the group, leading to lots of happy announcements and a wedding.

AMAZING...... That sums up this whole series. I loved all of the characters, but Nick Rixey, Ooh, and Becca will always be my favorites.
It was only fitting that they were the start of the Hard Ink family and that they ended the series with their Happily-Ever-After.

This one was pretty good. Of course these guys can't just have an easy HEA. Of course there was going to be some gunfire along the way. LOL
This was kind of like an extended epilogue and it was nice to see all the couples again. I didn't give it a full *4 STARS* because to me the sex was repetitive, even the dirty talk. So, it made it kind of ho hum for me.
Otherwise I really liked the story and loved the ending. It was nice seeing the guys again.

Great story as Nick and Becca are finally about to the the knot. This wouldn't be a Hard Ink wedding of trouble didn't show up. I recommend you grab this one and find out what happens.

I have to say, I didn't really expect this guy to come back as the villian, but I loved that the hero to this novella was our brave little bride who was having none of this lol. A nice wrap to the Hard Ink family
