Things are not going well for Brady Fleming, Rosewood equestrian coach and Olympic hopeful. Thanks to a careless fall off his horse, he is now on crutches - out of training and a job. Not to mention he’s had to promise Brooklyn he’ll back off so they could be just friends, which is the last thing he wants. The worst part is he knows she’s into him too; she’s as much as admitted it. And that kiss… There is no denying their chemistry after that kiss at the costume dance. But he can’t date a student and he balked when she asked him if he was willing to risk it all to be with her.
Now that his job and training are on hold, his outlook has changed and he’s beginning to realize what really matters and what he wants from his life.
Maybe that girl who showed up on campus and turned his heart inside out is worth risking everything for after all.
Read Risking it All, a short story from Brady’s perspective, in preparation for Making Ripples.
A survivor of adolescence, Katrina Abbott loves writing about teens: best friends, cute boys, kissing, drama. Her main vice is romance, but she's been known to succumb to the occasional chocolate binge. She may or may not live in California with her husband, kids and several cats.
This is second from series and from Katrina Abbott that I'm reading and it's again a very nice read. It reminded me of my times as teenager when I had someone there for me and it was hard to hide it from My mom, especially when she used to teach in that same school. Emotions fell over once again from that time. It's a good to get going one and I really liked it to its depth. For me and its 5.0/5.0
I love Brady and i could read a whole book from is pov but i think this short story could have easily been a chapter in the next installement instead of a novella
Pretty cute short story. Even though I read it out of order from its intended order in the series, I could still follow it pretty easily, and it made me curious about the other books in the series.
Brady has it bad for Brooklyn. But she ghosted him after Thanksgiving. Made me wonder if she is simply that: a ghost. Interesting introduction to Brady. May have to look for the later story.
Felt like it just got going when it ended! I think I would describe it as a teaser, rather than a short story! A great insight though into Brady and what makes him tick. Enjoy reading about these characters.
The ending kept me hanging wanting to find out what happens next. Will Brady be able to find Brooklyn? Can't wait to read the next book. I absolutely adore this sweet romance series.
Oh my god! Who are you and what have you done to Brady! I would never have guessed he would do such a grand gesture for Brooklyn. Waiting to see how all this turns out.
Going to his father's for Christmas held no appeal, so a spur of the moment decision, at the airport, had Brady, and his new acquaintance, looking for a girl, half a world away.

My Review: I was really excited to read this short story for the Rosewood series. I never understood the whole Team Edward/Team Jacob stuff until now, I am fully team Brady! I love his character throughout the series and had really high hopes for this book. It is a short story so there wasn't a whole lot that could be squeezed into the novella but I was honestly hoping for more of Brady. He seems like such a complex character but I didn't get that feeling at all from this book. I am a little curious as to how this story develops, I am pretty sure the next book in the series gets back to Brooklyn and hopefully Brady too!
Ah! I was so happy to read this book you've no idea! I can't believe he went all the way across the freaking ocean to find her! Of course he never will and that breaks my heart as he'll be pissed at her for lying and they are perfect for each other that it's gonna end in a rift but it's not her fault and I hope that she is somehow able to explain this and for him to believe her.
