Ryder, what can I say about Ryder? I actually loved Ryder, both the book and the character. This book is a quick read; I finished in about two hours. The characters are very well developed and the story is captivating from the beginning.

hmmmmm......I am giving this a 3 star rating. It was short, quick read. I just personally needed a bit more from it.

This is a quick read that introduces to Ryder and Ryann....two people that were fated to meet. It moves quickly and gives us the background of these two characters...the story continues with Second Chances.
I liked both characters and look forward to reading more about them. One thing I really liked, Ryder felt pain after an altercation! An alpha that is human ;) !

Ryder confused me a little. He is a nice guy but is running from his past. He’s running from himself..So when he ends up in the town where he meets a friend and Ryann-the woman who has his heart and gets him to want to stay we see him conflicted. He has friends and feels as if he belongs. There is a sense of safety and comfort.. This little beauty will have you begging for more. It is a quick read but what it lacks in pages in more than makes up for in the quality of the content.

Wow, this book was absolutely amazing! I'm not a huge fan of novellas, which is the only reason why it didn't get a full 5 stars from me.
This book sucked me in from the get go, I was dying to know what had happened to Ryder to cause him to be this loner he portrays himself as. And Ryann, wow, she's a no bullshit kind of girl. I love how she was sweet and caring yet didn't didn't take shit from Ryder.

This novella was part of an anthology, so it’s not a long story, but it promises more. I did think Ryder was a jerk, but I have a feeling he has some redeeming qualities. I am anxious to see how he clears his name and resolves the problems from his past and the ones he created more recently. I liked the book enough to keep me interested for the next book, but not enough to say I loved it. Good quick read. I give this book 3.5 stars.
Rebecca Brooke has managed to provide us with just enough of Ryder to make us want more. What is his story? What are the dynamics to his family in Connecticut? What went so terribly wrong between his brother and him? Will he ever see Ryann or Kaden again? The tension and chemistry between Ryder and Ryann was hot. So I'm hoping this isn't the end, but just a twisted beginning. Here's to Second Chances!!

A perfect lead in Novella it definitely did its job by teasing me and leaving me wanting more. In this quick story I completely connected with the characters. I loved Ryann & Ryders instalove/lust. Got just enough of his tortured past to leave me curious and dying for more. Ryann seems to be a strong take charge character and I LOVE that in a female lead.
