i am trying to work my way through my personal library because i just buy so many books. Fatal Lady was the first book i chose because i can’t remember where or when i bought it. it was a short simple read with a plot twist i didn’t expect; however, i don’t think the execution was as impactful as it could have been. i didn’t expect the killer to be who it was but the book gave you very little time to even know what had happened when it was revealed. i’m not sure if that makes sense. overall i liked the book because it has helped me get out of a fiction reading slump.

A nicely written mystery starring a young heiress who would do anything to clear her brother's name after he is declared criminally insane and accused of murdering his beautiful wife's lover. When her brother is finally released, more bodies keep piling up, and soon everyone is a suspect. A tightly plotted quick read, and part of Foley's "Mr. Potter" mystery series.
