Miranda (MrsLeif's Two Fangs About It)
One of my favorite things about this book was the writing style. Amy's writing flowed really well, and the dialogue was never dull. She did a great job of describing scenarios and characters. I could clearly picture all of the characters in my head. The narrative in this book was funny and enjoyable. Sometimes, the narrative seemed a little receptive and unnecessary, but I still enjoyed it. The plot moved at a nice pace that kept me interested the entire time. I was also extremely happy that the ...more

The review was up on For The Love of Fictional Worlds as a part of the blog tour for the series hosted by Indie Sage PR on July 7th!

Ally is having dreams while waking up - only these aren't dreams. They seem to be visions about things that have already happened! This is now playing havoc in her life because while she understands that her family is a little different, she did not expect that "differentness" to be passed on to her!

But those visions bring her something good! They get her closer to

Seeker is a Young Adult Paranormal Romance but it is so much more than teenage romance. Ally Moran is intuitive just like her mother and grandmother but when she has a vision about her ex-friend and uber-popular cheerleader, her whole is turned upside down.

Enter the book boyfriend of the year, Jack Ruiz. He witnesses Ally having her first vision and mistakes it for Ally being ill. Being the gentleman he is, he insists on driving her home. Ally thinks he is hot and tries to dampen her feelings by

I thought this was a very good book. I enjoyed it a lot. I found it funny and heartbreaking. I like the writing style that Amy used. I loved the relationship between Jack and Ally. They have perfect chemistry. I thought that Grams and Cassie were hilarious and Tara was awesome too. I thought Amy was able to bring for a great fantasy story with some brutal aspects of abuse. I felt so bad for Veronica bec

Ally and Jack were both likable characters, and they made a pretty good couple. There was a few times where Ally annoyed me slightly though.

The pacing at the start of this was quite slow, so it took a while to get into the story. The pace did pick up slighty after a while, but there was still a few parts which dragged a little bit for me.

Overall, An okay read.

This was an enjoyable and interesting story, told in an engaging style. Ally's comments to herself were frequently very funny, and the teen language a fresh departure. I'd prefer more focus on Ally's struggles to accept and understand her gift of being a Seeker, and less details about teenage romance and raging hormones. Both the main characters, Ally and Jack, were likable and captivating. Sometimes Jack seemed too good to be true, but Ally's emotional fluctuations appeared quite normal for tee ...more

I liked this book. Though I hate comparisons but the plot line was similar to that of Fire in Frost by Alicia Rades (you can read my review here). But I liked this a lot better than that, the characters were developed and handled maturely, the plot was neatly executed by keeping things interesting and I liked the pace which is even throughout t

"Seeker" the first book in the series blends the paranormal and romance into a mystery that begins in sixteen year old Ally Moran's English class when she has a waking dream about Veronica Albluth, a former childhood friend who's in dire trouble. Like the women in her family she's always had an enhanced intuition about things but this vision leaves her dizzy and heating up until fellow classmate Jack Ruiz helps her escape prying eyes so she can compose herself.

What a great, entertaining read! This is a wonderful start to what promises to be an intriguing series. I found myself pleasantly surprised; I'm not normally a huge fan of first person writing, and I often get distracted (and sometimes even annoyed) when the character "talks to the audience". Boy...NOT in this case. The first person writing didn't leave me feeling "deprived" of the motivation of other characters, and the tone was JUST RIGHT. I actually enjoyed when our main character, Ally, spok ...more

Ally was a very lovable character, she is a seer or one who is told becoming a powerful seer as she can do many things that is unheard of in the seer community whereas Gramps and her Mother have very mild abilities such as Gramps if she touches something that belongs to someone else she will normally 'sense' something, I didn't really understand her ability whereas Ally's mother can find things that are lost. Ally has very vivid visions but

Note: I got the digital copy of the book for free in return of a fair review of the book. Thanks to the author Amy Reece.

The story of the book is about a girl,Ally, who has super natural power to see past and future of any random person. In one of her such visions she sees a girl being brutally tortured and decides to help her.

The story of the book is OK. But so many chapters are wasted on the love story of Ally and Jack which doesn't fit well in the main story.

Overall the book is OK I will rat

Seek No Further! This Series is Seeringly Great! . . .

This book is a great addition to the Young Adult genre filled with humorous characters, great dialogue, and impactful messages weaved into the plot. The author kept the characters age appropriate but mature, a balance which is hard to do when writing an Y.A. books that can be for more than just teens. I definitely enjoyed the plot flow and concepts in this book, which have definitely hooked me for the next installment.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes.

The seeker was about a teenage girl Ally who was dealing with being at high school and to top it all off she's started getting visions, now for any other teenager this would probably be almost mental but for Ally who has known she's is prone to some clairvoyantcy talents due to her Grams and her mum having similar seer talents.

This started off, fast paced and in the midst of action, that was quite gripping and had me wanting to

Seeker is book #1 in The Seeker Series and the first book I have read by this author, I was gifted a copy of this book to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.

Seeker is a YA paranormal story and it’s been a while since I read one of those, I tend to like my books a tad more ‘adult’ but I do really enjoy the paranormal genre so I figured I would give it a go.

Ally is very young, she’s sweet but very immature and I loved that h

When I first started reading this book, I had no idea what to expect. Heck, I didn’t even know what the book was about or how many books were in the series. But boy, am I glad I signed up for this tour! I truly enjoyed SEEKER! The author’s writing style made me not only fall in love with the story line, but the characters as well. I had no problem whatsoever visualizing the scenes throughout the book. Everything – the characters, their problems, their lives, the dialogue – were tr

So first thing I wanna say is that while this is a YA book there were a few intense themes mentioned throughout the book.

Ally is different she know it and accepts it and has always tried to stay under the radar at school and not get noticed, until her gifts magnify and she starts having visions, right in the middle of class. The plus side is almost no one noticted and the only person that did is the swoon worthy new guy who sits right behind her.

Jack haden't said much of anything to her

Seeker has very realistic characterization and description - I found it easy to picture the characters, and most of the time, their reactions to the events unfolding were natural. The romantic scenes were written well, and I appreciated that Ally was all in - she knew this guy for a month and she just fell head over heels for him. First loves are like that. :)

Ally is funny and likeable. She's flawed and can be annoying at times, but I prefer that anyway, what teenager is perfect? I love that she

Seeker hooked me and kept me interested from the first page to the last! The characters are very well written and I was quickly drawn into Ally's world and wanted as badly as she to know what the heck was going on, not only with the mystery around her "friend", but also with her emerging psychic abilities. The blossoming relationship between Ally and Jack is a sweet, intense, and realistic trip down the memory lane of first love. (Warning: Dark and complex content) labeled a YA book, I would recommend it to 17+ due to the violent nature of a few parts of the book!

As a 40 something adult I was so pleased with this book!

Wow! This was a great read. A seemingly typical teen named Ally has some very unusual visions and suddenly she learns that she may hold the key to solving an important mystery. And then there's Jack, who is determined to stay away from her because the last thing he needs in his life is more trouble. But he's so cute and I really enjoyed his character. And I really enjoyed them together. This book had a little bit of everything - fantasy, a little romance, adventure, some mystery...I felt like it ...more

First, I'd like to thank the author for letting me read it. It had a good storyline but the content was okay. Those who love instant love will enjoy this, but it's just not my cup of tea. This is a coming of age romance.
Ally is sixteen years old. A shy quiet girl. One day in class she gets a disturbing vision of one of the other girls in class. It causes her to feel very ill.
Jack ,the bad boy who is new to the school helps her sort out what is happening to her.
A sweet innocent love story. With Both our hero and heroine working through intense personal problems. Ally tries desperately to save a girl who is in trouble without being able to tell the girl what she knows.

I really enjoyed this book.

This was different from most ya books I have read lately. There was some dark realism mixed with the paranormal. Because of the mature themes, I wouldn't recommend this book for younger teens, but the issues weren't dealt with in an inappropriate manner. I'm looking forward to continuing the series.
