Me & My Favorite Author follows best selling erotic romance authors Roemy (Ro-me) Blackwell and Case Wilson to the annual Black Romance & Erotica Book Conference, where years of curiosity finally put them face-to-face. Between crowded event halls, late-night conversations and a chemistry that refuses to melt, fantasies run wild. Self-control hangs by a thread and somebody is left trying to make sense of a freaky weekend they will never forget.
My homegirl said, “Read this,” and once again she proved why I trust her recommendations. 😂
This was short, spicy, and ridiculously entertaining. I loved the setup of two successful authors whose worlds collide at a book festival, and the chemistry between them had me kicking my feet from the very beginning.
The pacing never slowed down, and just when I thought I had everything figured out… the ending completely caught me off guard. It was such a fun twist that instantly made me want more.
This boooook was so on time from the topic, theme, real relationship drama, settling, and not being seen or supported. It was so sexy , spicy, and erotic. I definitely needed a cold shower afterwards. Every scene captivates you and makes you feel of you’re right there experiencing or watching the scenes play out in front of you. The keynote speech scene was so powerful I felt every word and shed a tear or two. Roemy finally feeling free, liberated, and enjoying herself physically with Case in each scene was so invigorating wheww! Her dropping that dead weight and choosing herself was perfect... chef’s kiss. 10/10 Thee Tasha Marie does it again.
Tashaaaaaaaaaaaa that ending was so wild lol. I loved this read. It was steamy, dreamy and a lil creamy lol. It also put a spot light on how many women settle and miss out on better. Women put up with a lot of mediocre sex and dates while being content! I loved that Roe embraced her passion and desires. It was refreshing to see her realize her worth and shed the dead weight. One of my favorite parts from the book: “This is about giving people permission to feel, desire, and be unapologetic about their sexuality. You're not just talking to writers. You're talking to readers. You're talking to Black women who've been told their desires don't matter. You're giving them permission to take up space." - Thee Tasha Marie
Well, Tasha, this book was awesome from page one to the very last page. It is easily one of the best books I've read this year.
First, let me give a warning: do not read this book at work! Trust me on that.
Now, let's talk about that ending. I am still speechless about the last 90% of this book. Absolutely speechless. You got me. I did not see that coming at all. That's exactly why I love your work. You consistently deliver stories that keep me guessing until the very end. No matter how hard I try, I can never predict where you're taking the story, and I love that.
This book was amazing. Five stars isn't enough—I'm giving it ten stars. I'll definitely be rereading it. And can we talk about Case? Because Case is bae. Period.
Sexy. Whew… this one had me hooked! It felt so real that I was right there with her the entire time. Then she woke up… and I was just sitting there like, “Wait… what?!”
This novella was everything I wanted it to be. It was sexy, intriguing, entertaining, and I absolutely loved seeing my girl stand up for herself and stand on business. That alone made the story even more satisfying.
I don’t want to give too much away because this is one you should experience for yourself, but I will say this: reading it made me want to attend a Black author event because, whew… if that’s what inspiration looks like, sign me up! And maybe I’ll have dreams like that too.
I love when I find new to me authors and I fall in love with their catalog. TheeTasha Marie is one of those authors for me ! Me and my favorite author is such a good time . The way I would’ve been all over Case from the beginning to the end, yes Lord!! I know the author said that this book is a work of fiction however The Keynote speech that is given by Romey, its real! Tasha is speaking directly to her readers as black women who love to read, and see ourselves in the books she writes . I absolutely adored it all.
Roemy and Case were such a good time. This was a story about meeting your crush, exploring that attraction, and building a real connection along the way. I enjoyed watching their connection grow and seeing them navigate what they wanted from each other.
One thing I really appreciated was the reminder that standing up for what you want as a Black woman matters. Roemy learned to be honest, true to herself, and how not to shrink her desires to make anyone else comfortable. The lesson here was clear: your wants and needs matter, know your worth, go after what you want, and if it’s not aligned, keep it moving.
I wanted wet panties while working because I woke up on some freaky stuff and needed the book to match my vibe. Well some parts delivered like a hot drink on a cold winter night.
Case had some skillful fingers and his orgasm minimum was right up my alley. I would say poor Roemy but my girl was there for the ride. Hats off to you. Now that ending... Yeah, don't do us like that again.
This was a good read, everything I was anticipating for Romey & Case was a GREAT time. Up until the end!!! The twist at the end really messed me up. I mean something good did come out of it, but now it has me wondering when I thought I had it figured out already. It’s giving similar vibes from Another Round & Before I Should Leave. Writing was great as always, it’s just the ending.
This book did what I needed to do. This book was a short, spicy, and cute read. Roe and Case are chef's kiss. They already have been thinking about and reading each other's work, so to meet at their book convention was like it was meant to be. The tension between them was heavy, and Case gave Roe exactly what she wanted and more. That plot twist had me gagged because no way a human's mind can work like that. At this point, I wouldn't mind a part 2.
I really enjoyed this book aside from all the Ai Inserts every 5-10 pages. I personally didn’t think that it was needed. Like why do we need visuals of something that we as readers can visualize ourselves and the fact that the texts were in picture form and not written. It’s an accessibility issue for people if they are using text to speech. I’m Not sure if either are common in books written by this author but the story itself was enjoyable and I’m open to reading something else by her.
Baby Tasha knows how to write a good nasty book! While I had a feeling where it was going and was accurate, it did not change the story now knowing it would not be in vain. (The book just came out so I don't want to spoil it.)
Any time Tasha writes a book, I'm reading it! ❤️ She's so good at this!
Omg... Case gave Roe everything she wanted and more. Tasha... we need a part 2 because that's not how we're going to end it? The whole time had me clutching my thighs together because of how Case handled Roe's body the way it needed to be handled. I'll take Case for a million, Alex 😂
Even though that was one hell of a plot twist....... you will not regret reading this. I was hooked from page 1. The scenes and the pics to go along with itttttt..... Oh my goodness. Chef's Kiss. I need more ASAP.
Loved the message in this book about black women owning their sensuality and the idea that we shouldn't settle foe comfort in a relationship over passion. Really enjoyed theFMC and MMC's confidence too.
Not Roe been dreaming that whole time 😂 So now I need to know if that dream became a reality. Did Case do more than the dream or what?? I loved this one Tasha! I’m ready to go to an erotic book conference lol
It’s a shame that women have to put up with a mediocre sex life…trying to be content! I love how Roe embraced her passion and desires, got rid of dead weight and jumped and slid all in!!!
I loved this book! I love how the smut tied into the story! How every encounter her & case had helped her realize she needed more. When she had her speech I thought she knew she was talking about herself but I get it. I want a Case !
This was all a dream.. No ooo I need Roe and Case together.. I loved every word, Case was definitely giving BDE and new what to do with it. Roe was that woman, sexy, confident and more.
I Absolutely Loved This Book! It Was Everything I Needed Case is Definitely A New Book Bae! I Loved How She Felt Seen And Pleasured By Him! The Mind Is An Amazing Thing!!
This was a fun, spicy ride! Great scenario and dialogue that includes a little snapshot of behind the scenes of what our favorite authors do for their readers.
Just what you need, a quick read but with so much passion and heat. Loved it, the stalking the release date was not in vain. Thank you for tagging me when it came out
