This charming anthology of historical romances takes place centered around the Duke and Duchess of Milton's Midsummer Night's Ball . The stories vary from those who meet for the first time at the ball, to those who reunite or rekindle their romance during it. The following is a review for all four enchanting tales in the collection.

The Marquess and I - Stacy Reid

In this delightful reunited lovers romance, Alasdair and Willow had a young love affair that was not meant to be when Willow's father

The Marquess and I by Stacy Reid
Alasdair Morley couldn't stop looking at Lady Willow Arlington. Words said by Lady Willow almost six years ago, still had the power to torment him. Alasdair doesn't like going to the parties. His mother wheedled and prodded until he agreed to go. Lady Willow doesn't want to be a burden to anyone with her blindness. Alasdair Hugh Morley is the Marquess of Westcliffe, he didn't expect to inherit but his brothers both passed away. Lady Willow daughter to Duke and

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful anthology of regency romances! Four beautifully written, charming stories. Each is centered around the Midsummer Night’s Ball, and range from sweet to sizzling, but all stunning page turners with vivid characters and a heartwarming, satisfyingly swoony HEA.

You won’t regret giving this collection a try. I’ve discovered a couple of new to me author’s I’ll definitely reading more of!

I absolutely LOVED this book. All of the stories in this compilation were very well written. Each story begins or ends at the Midsummer Night’s Ball. There is a little something for everyone, new love, couples rediscovering what made them fall in love, class division, anything your historical romance loving heart could desire. On every page there is passion, humor, angst, and of course, love.

I wanted to read this book because it has stories written by 2 of my new fave authors: Stacy Reid and Lily Maxton. This book is reminiscent of the ones written by the his-rom biggies like Julia Quinn, Mary Balogh, et al where you get a few different stories written by different authors interlinked (or not) by one single event, or person.

I love these books because they provide a good reprieve from reading the big thick ones. Also, these are great as samplers of other author's works because more

This is a four book box set of Regency Era novellas revolving around the yearly Midsummer Night’s Party, the ton’s most exclusive event of the Season.

The Marquess and I:

Lady Willow, the one woman that Alisdair Morely does not want to have anything to do with because she rejected him all those years ago, is the one woman he wants. When he arrives home from war to take on the mantle of the Marquess of Westcliffe, Alisdair knows he needs to marry money. So

This was a well heartfull happy but emotional read as only Stacy Reid knows how to do it
Two people who loved each other but duty got in the way . Lady Willow loved a young man and when he wanted to marry her she had to turn him down . Her father had other plans for her for a duke and because he wasn't a heir or a lord the answer was NO. Once he got his answer he left for war . She broke his heart. He was gone for 6 yrs . He came back and meet her at a ball. He was

A Midsummer Night's Kiss is a historical romance anthology by authors Stacy Reid, Lily Maxton, Nicola Davidson and Ally Broadfield. I originally read the the anthology because one of my fave authors, Stacy Reid, is included in the set. And I thoroughly--THOROUGHLY--enjoyed The Marquess and I by Stacy Reid. But I also enjoyed the other stories as well! I love heat in my books, and a couple were a little sweeter than I usually like, and had a beta hero while I'm a straight Alpha-hero kinda girl, ...more

A Midsummer Night’s Kiss

I absolutely LOVED this collection of stories! 4 novellas independently written by highly talented authors that all have one thing in common – the annual Midsummer Night Ball hosted by the Milton family. By far, my favorite read of the summer…Great Job Ladies!
The Marquess and I by Stacy Reid – The synopsis refers to Lady Willow as “hauntingly lovely”, as is the underlying love story between Lady Willow and the Marquess Alasdair. The story is beautifully written as long

I received a copy of this book for review from Stacy Reid.

A perfect hot historical romance that does not disappoint! All of the stories with in this book are a quick read and all of them perfect in their own way.

I particularly liked Lady Willow because her character was the type you don't typically see. It was very refreshing. All of the stories were very different and all of them left me not knowing what was going to happen or expect.

The authors in this lovely collection are Stacy Reid with
Enjoyable, well written, regency novella series

Four novellas taking place in the regency period of British history. Characters have loveable quirks and face some of the issues faced during courtship during that time and of course even today among the privileged class. Does he/she love me for myself or are they enamored due to my staus or income. Trust is a central issue. The stories are entertaining with minimal vulgar language and some explicit sexual activities. I would recommend them for a

They are wonderful Regency Romance novellas filled with passion and emotions!

The books in this collection are superb. They're worth getting to know these authors. I have only had time to read Stacy Reid’s novella and found it charming.

Enjoyed this collection! you won’t

This was a good collection. I found two authors. I will now add Nicola Davidson and Ally Broadfield to my list of historical romance authors when I need a fix.

Each story was unique and enjoyable in its own way. I think my favorites were The Marquess and I, and Once upon a Promise. The other two were good as well, but more sweet and sensual instead of hot and intense. I think that is what I liked so much, that this anthology had a different feel to each story, even though they were all centered

This was a wonderful collection of novellas written by four very talented ladies! I was first drawn to the set by Stacy Reid, whom I love, but was quickly enamored of each story. They were all well written and very entertaining. Each tale had one thing in common...the Milton's annual Midsummer Night's Ball. But that is where the similarity ends. Different characters, plots and steamy passions jumped off of every page in the book. I thoroughly enjoyed it all and will be looking for more novels ...more

A cute read indeed :) I rather enjoyed all four of these satisfying short stories, just enough romance and just enough adventure and character development to make sense. I believe the last one was the cute one, it actually went quicker than the others. But I enjoyed them all either way.

While I really loved the first three stories (5 stars each) I thought the fourth story (2.5 stars) was way too short to develop any true depth to the characters. What I saw of them I liked but the story just needed to be longer in order for me to establish any sort of a connection.
