There are incidents and emergencies in the world that defy logical explanation, events that could be defined as supernatural, extraterrestrial, or simply otherworldly. Standard laws do not allow for such instances, nor are most officials or authorities trained to handle them. In recognition of these facts, one organization has been created that can. Assembled by a loose ...more

Think of the worst SyFy giant creature movie made... Now think of that same movie if that had done it justice. That would be Crockatiel. Fast-paced, gigantic thrills, and just enough humor to relieve some of the tension, Wilson has delivered a must-read for fans of giant creature fiction.

Rednecks, super-secret organizations, ass-kicking female superhero-like hunters and…and a dinosaur, this would make a really, really bad Syfy movie. But wait, no, it’s still really cool! Cool enough to make me want to grab other O.C.L.T. titles and catch myself up (in case it is not obvious, this was my first in that series).

Dudes are roaming the Brazilian forest gathering crocodile samples for the lab that employees them. One sorry bastard, Eddie Dodd, encounters more than he bargained for.

This was very much a fun and "creature feature" type of fun. One where it takes little effort to follow but is lots of fun to listen to. It's a tongue in cheek, over the top, oodles of fun, book. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the dinosaur crock crossed with a cockatile bird thing, causing havoc in The Great Dismal Swamp. Add in some rednecks, some scientists and you have a lazy day read!!

I'm not going to get into the plot because it would spoil all the fun and surprises, but I will say that

I really enjoyed this book. It's silly, unbelievable and over-the-top, but an awfully lot of fun. The characters were largely stereotypes, but written in an intentional, exaggerated and affectionate way that made them amusing rather than boring or irritating. The monster of the piece, the Crockatiel, is ridiculous but at the same time scary. The plot is fairly predictable, but moves along quickly and

This book was not my normal read. But I found it enjoyable. I plan on reading more by Mr.

It's strange little book and difficult for me to admit, but I actually liked Cletus, yes he's off putting, yes he's an alcoholic, yes I'd like him on my side if we're fighting prehistoric dinosaur!

This is an odd little book completely implausible, a double d mess and I enjoyed it!
