“It’s during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light” - Buddha
You can ask “why me” all you want, but usually you won’t wake up to the answer until you have fallen deep into the pit of despair before you realize that the answer has been in front of you all along.
Fear, anger, despair, love, attraction, and pain are all made up emotions that can be picked apart and can be transformed however we want them to be. It’s that uncomfortable feeling we avoid when we could be courageously facing and fighting our demons to get exactly what we want. That is exactly the web Parker Anderson has created for himself in the paranormal romance series “Flicker”. Parkers spirit is faced with many adventures. He discovers that the way out is to help eliminate and fight the demons of the world one demon at a time, which hopefully leads to the light.
Along the way he reunites with Alley, beautiful and full of life and his fears are suddenly gone. He has found a reason to live, a reason to love, but is it to late for him? It is rare that a spirit can find a love for another that can grow and reciprocate when the energy around the two worlds are at their worst, but all they needed was that first flicker of light to turn into a beautiful fiery glow of love and friendship.
With every demon that Parker faces, he is left with more happiness, confidence, and gaining greater strength to choose to reunite with his body. He is ultimately faced with the worst demon the one that lives within him.

Great book

The story being so short still surprisingly leaves you feeling as if you've read a full length novel. The characters are well formed. You aren't left trying to analyze pieces in hopes of finding some essence of who they are. The story has great flow except a few places where it felt things started to get rushed. Not enough to disrupt the intense emotions that the stories seems to inspire. Love hate confusion fear compassion. I will say there isn't really much substance of the main characters emotional development. It just seems to be there less then a few pages in. So the overcoming personal demons wasn't really shown. It was more about understanding others and finding common ties with them. I would of liked to have seen more of the characters growth from what was implied as to be someone who felt weak and became strong. It felt like he was strong from the beginning and was just tired of dealing with carp. But I couldn't stop reading this it makes you feel all sorts of things. And the teases of battles to come is enough in this story to get me hooked on future expansions. Truelly love it. If you like this book try alice in zombieland series. the story lines are similar in topic of spirits fighters and is another great read for action and romance and of course overcoming personal evils
